Chapter 804 Attack Plan
Chapter 804 Attack Plan (First Update)
"Sheriff Gordon!"
Hearing the sudden sound behind him, Gordon quickly turned around and saw Batman in a jet-black bat suit.
"You still come and go without a trace."
Gordon breathed a slight sigh of relief the moment he saw Batman.
Since Batman appeared, the situation in Gotham City has indeed changed a lot. At least many gangs have become more restrained, and he can find Batman for help when he encounters difficulties.
"I know why you're looking for me. I'm investigating too, and I've just made some progress."
Bruce spoke directly using a voice changer that altered his voice.
What could Gordon possibly want from him at this time? It must be because of that insane, murderous tabby cat. He's been searching for that cat all week.
At first, we could capture some footage with drones, but these past two days, even drones can't find any trace of them.
Fortunately, with Alfred's help, they finally found the cat's whereabouts last night through some other channels.
He originally planned to go there himself, but he happened to see the Bat lights on halfway there. After thinking about it, he decided to let Gordon know first and discuss cooperation between the two sides, which would be safer.
After all, it wasn't an ordinary cat, but a cat with magic.
"Do you know who that 'Shadowless Knight' is these days?"
Gordon's eyes lit up when he heard Batman's words, and he thought to himself that Batman was indeed the most reliable person.
"The Shadow Knight?"
Bruce paused for a moment.
Gordon quickly explained:
"It's the guy who killed a lot of criminals this week. Because we never knew if he was male or female, or any other information about him, everyone called him the Shadow Knight."
"Um, maybe you should call it Cat Knight!"
Bruce couldn't help but twitch his lips.
Now Gordon was puzzled:
"Why is it called Cat Knight? Is it the same person as that catwoman?!"
A thought struck Gordon, and he felt he had found the answer. The Catwoman and the murder occurred around the same time, and he had always felt there might be some connection.
However, Bruce across from him shook his head firmly:
"No, because it is a cat, a talking, flying, and magical tabby cat!"
Gordon: "??????"
If the person in front of him wasn't Batman, he would have kicked him off the roof of the police station.
Are you kidding me? You're saying that the murderer that the police have been unable to find even a trace of is actually a cat that can talk, fly, and do magic? This isn't a children's cartoon.
If you say it's a machine or a mutated cat that's being manipulated to kill people, he can accept that to some extent.
Bruce, who immediately saw through Gordon's thoughts, didn't waste any words explaining. He simply took out a small player from his bat belt and played the video of his first encounter with the cat and the subsequent drone footage of the cat killing people.
Of course, the scenes depicting him being turned into a cat and then having his testicles exposed have been completely deleted by him.
As Gordon watched the scenes playing on the player, his mouth gradually opened wide, revealing an expression of utter disbelief.
Unexpectedly, Batman wasn't joking; the murderer really was that outrageous cat.
After watching the video, Gordon took a while to calm down before looking up at Batman and asking:
Do you know where it is now?
"It's probably killing people somewhere in the city right now. I can't find its location, but I know where it will go back to after it finishes killing at night."
Bruce took back his player.
"where?"
Gordon quickly stepped forward.
Bruce said slowly:
"Gotham Royal Hotel!"
He was indeed unable to pinpoint the cat's location, and even deploying hundreds of drones to patrol the city's skies yielded no trace. However, Alfred found the cat on the list of passengers who had entered the country a week earlier.
A week ago, a woman named Phyllis Price, who was on a flight from Salt Lake City to Gotham City, brought a tabby cat with her.
By reviewing airport surveillance footage, it was discovered that the tabby cat Fabers was carrying looked exactly like the one he had seen before, even the bell on its chest was the same.
Meanwhile, through their investigation of news reports about Salt Lake City, they discovered that a notorious thief had recently appeared in Salt Lake City, just like the Catwoman.
Therefore, he now has reason to suspect that the woman named Phyllis Price is the Catwoman who recently appeared, and that the cat she keeps is the killer cat.
The only uncertainty is whether Catwoman ordered the cat to kill, or whether the cat killed the cat itself and controlled Catwoman.
After hearing Bruce's brief explanation, Gordon stroked his chin, thought for a moment, and asked:
"What do you think we should do now? Go straight to their door to arrest them, or meet with them privately to talk first?"
In Gordon's heart, he didn't harbor any animosity towards the cat that killed so many criminals, because the cat did what he wanted to do but couldn't, and it truly terrified all the criminals in Gotham, which was what he wanted to see.
However, the police's principles told him that the cat's behavior was wrong. If a person had the power to kill whoever they felt they should, the whole world would be in chaos.
This is different from Batman. Batman doesn't kill people. Although his actions are somewhat excessive, they can still be defined as acts of heroism. It's just that the clothes he wears are a bit strange.
"My suggestion is to first control them, and then gradually communicate with them!"
Bruce knew the cat's strength well. If they didn't control the cat and limit its abilities first, they wouldn't be a match for it if the negotiations failed.
He doesn't want to turn into a cat again.
"Okay, what's your plan? I'll bring people to cooperate with you!"
Gordon trusted Batman a lot, so he let Batman make the plans, and he led the police officers to cooperate in the operation.
Batman nodded.
"With your cooperation, the chances of winning will be much greater. My plan is this... then this, and then this."
At four o'clock the next morning, Jerry finished his hunt for the night and Apparated back to the hotel.
His strength has now recovered considerably. Although he can no longer use Apparition across borders, it is still effortless for him to use it within Gotham City.
This is the fundamental reason why Bruce's drone hasn't been able to capture Jerry's image these past two days.
He no longer needs to use flight spells to fly around. Many times, once he has a target, he can simply Apparate there, finish it off with a spell, and then Apparate away again.
"As expected of Batman, I didn't expect you to find me even with this."
As soon as Jerry returned to his hotel room, his mental energy had recovered considerably, and he sensed the police lying in ambush outside the room, as well as Batman crouching on the roof.
