Chapter 820 Martians
Chapter 820 Martians (First Update)
"Jerry, your magic is incredibly powerful!"
Clark landed beside Jerry, looking at the giant pit in front of him that could be turned into a lake with a little water, and at Zod and the others who were dying at the bottom of the pit, with an incredulous expression on his face.
He thought he was already invincible, but the power of the magic Jerry had just unleashed was even more frightening.
He believed that if that magic had landed in Metropolis, the entire metropolis would probably have been completely wiped out.
"This magic requires advance preparation and charging. If you hadn't held them off for so long, I wouldn't have been able to unleash such power."
Jerry smiled and explained, then pointed at Zod and the others in the giant pit, using a levitation spell to slowly pull them out of the pit.
"Magic is truly amazing."
Clark couldn't help but let out a sigh.
Jerry reached out and opened a spatial portal leading into the warship's interior, reappearing in the command hall with Clark, Fiora, and the heavily injured Zod, among others.
"You should have seen clearly what just happened. I am fully capable of killing you, so stop making futile resistance."
Take your general to receive treatment, and once he wakes up, tell him that the conditions I mentioned before are still valid, and that I can help you Kryptonians find a planet that can be terraformed.
You just need to wait for my message inside the warship.
Faced with the wary Kryptonian scientists and pilots, Jerry abandoned Zod and the others, lifted Fiora's Imperius Curse, and teleported outside the warship with Clark.
"Alright, let's stop talking. You're quite something too."
Seeing the Kryptonian warship still perched on its magical shield, chatting with the human beauty inside, Jerry shook his head and tossed the entire thing into his Bell Universe.
While the Bell Universe cannot yet compare to the Ring Universe, its space has expanded considerably, though it is now rather empty.
After Jerry finished dealing with the Kryptonian warship and removed the magic circle protecting the entire metropolis, General Swanwick arrived in front of the two in a military jeep.
"On behalf of humanity, I thank you both for your help, which ensured that our citizens were unharmed during this crisis!"
"General, I only hope that after this is over, you will not investigate my identity or disturb my life. I will not be controlled by you, and you cannot control me either."
Clark replied with a serious expression.
General Svanwick paused for a moment:
"A very obvious question is, how do we know you won't become our enemy in the future?"
"General, I grew up in Kansas, just like you. I came here to help you, but I have my own beliefs, and you must believe them."
Clark expressed his views.
The general shook his head helplessly:
"Even if I believe you, those higher-ups may not."
"Perhaps you can just trust me, because whether they believe me or not, I will still do things my way."
Clark thought for a moment, then smiled.
His meaning was clear: those higher-ups didn't believe him and couldn't do anything about it; Earth's weapons simply couldn't harm him.
"This guy's acting is truly Oscar-worthy."
Jerry, standing to the side, looked at General Swanwick and sighed inwardly.
If he hadn't known beforehand that the other party was Martian Manhunter, he really wouldn't have been able to spot any flaws.
Martian Manhunter was originally a Martian living on Mars, a planet with highly advanced biological genetics. He came to Earth by accident and eventually settled there.
Martian Manhunter possesses a body comparable to that of a Kryptonian and the ability to alter his own genes. Therefore, he is not only physically powerful but also possesses numerous abilities such as invisibility, shapeshifting, telepathy, and etherealization.
In particular, his regenerative ability allows him to regenerate his head even after it has been cut off.
Of course, he also has a fatal weakness: pyroptosis, which is a fear of fire, especially fire caused by emotions. It makes him recall his wife and daughter who were burned to death, causing his body to become disordered.
At this point, Martian hunters are easy to kill.
"And what about you, magician, or rather, sorcerer?"
After hearing Clark's answer, General Swanwick turned his gaze to Jerry beside him.
Jerry shrugged:
"I am an Earthling, and I have not broken any laws. If you are monitoring me, that is an infringement on my right to freedom, and I will hire a lawyer to sue you."
Of course, if they lose the case, who knows, one day a white light might fall on Washington, and then the White House would be gone.
General Svanwick raised an eyebrow upon hearing this. Wasn't this a blatant threat?
The key is that he can't provoke the other party too much. This magician is obviously harder to talk to than that Kryptonian, and he might really do something if he's in a bad mood.
"Okay, I will report your requests to my superiors. I also believe that you are all good people."
"Goodbye then, Martian!"
Jerry pulled Clark away in a phantom teleportation, disappearing from the spot, leaving only General Swanwick with his pupils rapidly contracting.
He hurriedly turned to look at the young female adjutant behind him, and breathed a sigh of relief when he saw her infatuated expression, clearly indicating that she hadn't heard Jerry's "Martian" comment.
"They're both so handsome, it's so hard to choose!"
"Let's go!"
Hearing the female adjutant muttering to herself, General Svanwick woke her up with a hint of annoyance.
"What are your plans for the future?"
At Kent Farm in Smallville, Jerry, sipping coffee brewed by Mrs. Kent, asked Clark, who had changed back into normal clothes.
Clark looked at Louise, who was watering the flowers for Mrs. Kent, and a strange smile appeared on his face.
"I need a low-profile job, one where I won't be suspected when I leave to rescue someone or ask questions."
"Oh, looks like I can even find love along the way, not bad!"
Jerry knew without a doubt that the job Clark was talking about was to become a reporter for Louise's Globe.
"Oh, right, where did you put General Zod and the others? And can you really help them find a new planet?"
Having his secret exposed by Jerry, Clark immediately changed the subject.
However, he was indeed a little curious, since Jerry had placed his hand on the Kryptonian warship that day, and both the warship and General Zod inside had disappeared.
Jerry nodded firmly:
"I've sent them to another universe, a newly born universe. As for the new planet, don't bother looking for one; I'll create one for them, but it'll take some time, and you'll find out then."
In stopping the Kryptonians from destroying Earth, he has already collected a huge number of Little Red Stars. Once he converts these Little Red Stars into magic, his strength will be able to recover to the peak of the Celestial level.
Creating a planet and its corresponding sun within the Bell Universe is still achievable.
