Chapter 837 Instant Kill (First Update)

Besides Darkseid, who possesses the Omega Effect and is exceptionally powerful, Apokolips also has some very troublesome characters known as the Dark Elite.

They are all elites gathered by Darkseid during his conquests of various universes, and each of them possesses unique abilities.

These characters may not mean much to him, but they could cause a lot of trouble for the Kryptonian army.

For example, the brother of this master manipulator, nicknamed Godfrey, has mind control abilities so powerful that he can briefly control the humans of an entire planet.

The powerful Kryptonian army would probably be controlled by his mind control abilities and turn on each other before they even got close.

There's another guy nicknamed Mantis, whose strength surpasses that of an average Kryptonian, and who is immune to all physical attacks. He can absorb anyone's energy and magical attacks.

So, it would be best if these dark elites were willing to come and die one by one before the battle with Darkseid.

This is why he didn't release the Kryptonian army as soon as he arrived on Apokolips.

He wanted to reduce the perceived threat level of the other party, making Darkseid feel that they were insignificant, so that Darkseid wouldn't take action personally immediately.

"Darkseid is no longer my master. How dare you, a lowly wretch, be so insolent before me!"

Jerry now directly expelled Grace's mental energy from Steppenwolf's brain.

"It seems you're the one in charge this time!"

Seeing Jerry help Steppenwolf break free from his mind control, Grace's face turned serious.

Steppenwolf isn't scary; he's just a tough, clumsy guy. But the guy below who took down an entire wizard army in one move is definitely no ordinary person.

"I suppose so, General Svanwick. I'll leave them to you. I just used up too much magic."

Jerry didn't say anything more, and turned to look at the narrator, "Your Martian Hunter."

His instantaneous annihilation of 100,000 wizards had already revealed a small portion of his strength. Now, he needed to conceal his true power and give his enemies the illusion that what he just did was his strongest performance.

Of course, this is on the premise that the team happens to have a Martian Hunter who can counter the opponent's abilities.

Grace possesses powerful mind control abilities. If Steppenwolf hadn't been bound by the contract, he probably wouldn't have lasted more than a few seconds before she took control of his body.

Here, apart from his own strong mental power which makes him basically immune, neither Superman, Batman, Catwoman, nor Flash and Aquaman are immune to mind control.

But Martian hunters are different. Martians are born with abilities such as telepathy, mind connection, and control, and Martian hunters are among the best of them.

While he couldn't control Grace, he could resist her mental intrusion.

Aside from mind control, Grace's physical abilities are not particularly outstanding; Martian Manhunter's physical abilities are no less than those of a normal Kryptonian warrior.

Therefore, the outcome of Martian Manhunter's battle against Grace was predictable.

Martian Hunter nodded upon hearing Jerry's words. He knew why Jerry had sent him, and quickly flew towards Grace and the others.

Is Martian Hunter strong? Yes, he is very strong, but the main reason he was able to defeat Grace in such a short time was because of his superior strength.

Grace can use mind control to instantly kill Steppenwolf, while Martian Manhunter might not be able to win a one-on-one fight against Steppenwolf, but he can instantly kill Grace.

"What should we do with her? Kill her?"

After dealing with the Parademons, Martian Manhunter brought Grace, whom she had knocked unconscious, to Jerry.

Jerry thought for a moment, then reached out and touched Grace's forehead, temporarily imprisoning her soul with a sealing spell.

"Let's leave it here for now. Darkseid and the others probably already know our current situation. Let's wait for them to come over."

"Jerry, what exactly is your plan? Tell us the truth, otherwise we probably won't be able to defeat Darkseid and his army on our own."

Bruce stepped forward and asked Jerry.
