Chapter 10 Hannibal

A cold glint flashed in Orochimaru's eyes as he muttered to himself, "It's a pity that such a man of principle stands on the opposite side of me. In the ninja world, people like him are destined not to live long."

Before he could finish speaking, his hands were already rapidly forming hand seals, and he uttered a low shout: "Earth Release: Earthquake Core!"

The next second, the ground beneath Hannibal's feet suddenly collapsed, forming a deep pit. Caught off guard, Hannibal lost his footing and his entire body went awry.

"What?!" Hannibal was shocked, his eyes wide open. Before he could react, he fell heavily to the ground with a thud.

The next second, Orochimaru formed hand seals again: "Fire Release: Fire Dragon Bullet Technique!"

As he spoke, a colossal fire dragon materialized before him, radiating scorching heat. The dragon roared deafeningly and plunged into the deep pit beneath Hannibal's feet.

The release of such a powerful ninjutsu within such a confined space caused the air to seem to be dried out, and the ground instantly turned into a scorching hot glass, radiating a blazing red light.

"Deputy Warden!" The surrounding guards stared wide-eyed in terror. Some instinctively reached out, seemingly trying to grab Hannibal, but the scorching heat from the fire dragon forced them to retreat.

"ah!!"

Hannibal's heart-wrenching screams echoed from the pit, sounding faint amidst the roar of the fire dragon. But soon, the screams ceased abruptly, leaving only the raging roar of the fire dragon in the pit.

"How could it be the deputy warden?" a young prison guard muttered to himself, his face pale and his lips trembling.

At that moment, all the prisoners' eyes were focused on the four people behind them.

"Those are Jinbe, the Knight of the Sea, and Crocodile, the Crocodile!" A bearded prisoner pointed at Jinbe and Crocodile, his voice trembling. "They are both terrifying beings who can single-handedly take on an entire fleet!"

"Fire Fist Ace, the second division commander of the Whitebeard Pirates, is here too!" Another prisoner with a scar on his face exclaimed with fervent eyes, "To fight alongside these great figures, I have no regrets in this life!"

"And the person who just unleashed the fire dragon, he took down Hannibal in one move! So strong! Who is he?"

Suddenly, a burly man stepped out from the crowd: "Boss! You've finally arrived!" It was Man Niu.

At that moment, all the surrounding prisoners turned their attention to Bull. Bull immediately addressed them, saying, "It was the boss who gave me the key, which gave us the chance to escape! The boss gave us our freedom!"

At this moment, everyone's attention was focused on Orochimaru, and they realized that he was the mastermind behind this Impel Down escape.

"Boss! Boss!"

"If we follow the boss, we can regain our freedom!"

Cheers erupted throughout the prison in an instant, with prisoners excitedly chanting Orochimaru's name, and the scene briefly spiraled out of control.

The jailers standing opposite the prisoners felt a chill run down their spines. They gripped their weapons nervously, their eyes darting around, and beads of sweat appeared on their foreheads.

They knew they were facing four world-renowned powerhouses. Any one of them could easily defeat them, these ordinary prison guards. Let alone the four of them working together…

As Orochimaru walked forward, the two jailers standing at the front stared wide-eyed, their bodies trembling involuntarily.

As Orochimaru approached, a terrifying illusion suddenly appeared in the minds of the two prison guards. His figure rapidly twisted and deformed in their eyes, transforming into a huge, ferocious python.

The python flicked its scarlet tongue, its amber vertical pupils fixed on the two jailers, as if it would coil and devour them at any moment.

"Ah!" The two jailers could no longer bear the pressure, their bodies suddenly went limp, and they instinctively retreated to the sides.

The next second they came to their senses, filled with regret, cursing themselves for being cowardly and retreating in front of the enemy.

But when they turned around, seeking help from their comrades, they found the guards behind them also trembling and pale. And among those guards, a passage had somehow been made.

"Heh." Orochimaru sneered. Just as he took a step forward, a hand suddenly grabbed his right leg with such force that it made his body pause.

"Don't even think about leaving here!" A weak voice came from the ground, but its heavy tone revealed a resolute indomitable spirit. "Even if... even if I die, I will stop you criminals."

Orochimaru lowered his head, his gaze falling on the hand that had grabbed him. The skin on that arm was charred black, a horrifying sight. Following the arm upwards, he saw a face covered in burns, almost unrecognizable. But those eyes were wide open, staring intently at Orochimaru, as if trying to pierce him.

At the same time, a meaty aroma wafted into Orochimaru's nostrils—the smell of burnt human flesh that made him feel nauseous.

"Hannibal?" Orochimaru raised an eyebrow, a hint of surprise in his voice.

He hadn't expected that the jailer would remain conscious after suffering such a severe injury. The power of that fire escape technique was enough to incinerate an ordinary person. Yet Hannibal had endured it all with an indomitable will.

Before he could finish speaking, Hannibal coughed violently, spitting out a mouthful of blood that mingled with his charred flesh. But his hands remained tightly gripped on Orochimaru's leg, refusing to loosen their grip, his fingernails even piercing Orochimaru's skin.

"Deputy Warden!" The surrounding guards couldn't help but shout when they saw this scene. They wanted to step forward to help Hannibal, but they were intimidated by the oppressive aura emanating from Orochimaru and the others, and dared not make any rash moves.

Orochimaru looked down at Hannibal on his lap, raised his right foot, and kicked him away with force.

"That's about enough," Orochimaru said coldly.

Hannibal crashed heavily to the ground with a thud. His body curled up in a ball, blood gushing from his wounds and pooling on the ground in a red puddle.

"Let's go." Orochimaru turned around, intending to leave, when Hannibal's voice suddenly came from behind him again. Orochimaru turned around and saw a scene that made his eyes widen slightly.

"I told you I would never let you escape."

Hannibal shakily stood up, blood flowing down his body and pooling on the ground in a crimson stain. But he seemed to feel no pain, stubbornly taking steps forward towards Orochimaru.

"Even if...even if my bones are shattered, even if my flesh is burned, even if my blood runs dry," Hannibal said, each word seemingly squeezed from his throat, "I will stop you."

"Deputy Warden!" At this moment, a prison guard behind him could no longer hold back his tears. He shouted, "Don't get up again! You'll die!"

"Are you kidding me!"

Hearing the jailer's words, Hannibal abruptly raised his head, his body trembling with excruciating pain, each breath feeling like a fire burning in his lungs. But his gaze grew ever more resolute, burning fiercely as if he wanted to incinerate the pirates before him.

"You damned pirates!" he roared through gritted teeth, his voice hoarse yet powerful. "Do you know how many civilians on this sea lose sleep over the fear of losing their loved ones?!"

Hannibal approached the four men step by step, his wounds tearing open and bleeding profusely, but he paid no heed. "What Yonko captain? What Shichibukai? Your so-called great titles are built on the bones and blood of countless ordinary people!"

After speaking, Hannibal stood still, gripping his broadsword tightly with both hands. The blade trembled slightly in his hands, gleaming faintly in the torchlight.

Hannibal gritted his teeth and roared with all his might, "Imperial City exists to isolate you vicious bastards from the outside world!"

His voice, though hoarse, was resounding and echoed throughout the prison.

"As long as this door remains, demons will never be able to enter the human world, and innocent lives will be spared from endless nightmares!"

"I will protect the justice of the navy!" His roar grew louder and louder, like a thunderclap, which terrified the prisoners.
