Chapter 189 The Plan is Finalized
Chapter 189 The Plan is Finalized
Soon, the group obtained almost all the information they wanted, from the defensive layout of Whole Cake Island to the abilities of key personnel. But what interested the three of them most was the fatal weakness of Devil Fruit users.
"I see." Onoki stroked his chin, his gaze sweeping over the two siblings. "No wonder you were so wary of Yagura's Water Release techniques."
Yagura gazed at Cracker, who was trapped in the water prison, and a slight smile appeared on his lips: "It seems that in this world, my Water Release is just the right thing to do with these so-called Devil Fruit users."
While listening to his sister reveal information in the water dungeon, Cracker suddenly grinned maliciously: "How pathetic, I was actually trapped by the tricks of a little woman."
"Damn it!" Yagura's forehead veins bulged, and his usually gentle face instantly darkened. "I'm a man!"
The water prison suddenly contracted, and Cracker let out a muffled groan, his face turning bright red.
"Yagura, calm down." Onoki coughed lightly. "We still need his information."
Yagura took a deep breath and slowly released his grip, restoring the water prison to its original state. He stared coldly at Cracker: "Knowing their weaknesses gives us a greater chance of success in our operation in Whole Cake Island."
"By the way," Onoki frowned, "you mentioned the tea party tomorrow, and the Kid Pirates are going to launch an attack?"
Brulee bit her lip and nodded: "We received intelligence. They plan to launch a surprise attack on Whole Cake Island during the tea party."
"This is indeed an opportunity." Onoki narrowed his eyes: "Once the Kid Pirates attack, the entire Whole Cake Island will surely descend into chaos."
"Let's take advantage of the chaos," Ai said bluntly, turning to stare at Brulee. "Now, take us into your mirror space."
Ōnoki released the Weighted Rock Technique, and Brulee staggered to her feet. With a wave of her hands in the air, a mirror shimmering with silver light appeared out of thin air.
Ai grabbed Brulee's arm. "Go inside!"
Brulee was pulled and stumbled into the mirror, followed closely by Ai. Onoki and Yagura exchanged a glance, then, with Cracker in tow, they too stepped into the mirror.
The Mirror World is an irregular circular corridor, surrounded by mirrors of all sizes, each reflecting a different scene from the outside world.
"The entrance to the tea party is over there," Brulee said, pointing to an unassuming mirror in front of her, her voice trembling slightly.
"Stop wasting time," Ai said impatiently. "Lead the way."
Yagura followed behind, carrying the crane, his eyes scanning the surroundings warily. In this eerie space, he remained on high alert.
At this moment, Brulee walked ahead with her head down, but a barely perceptible cold smile appeared on her lips: "Just wait and see, Katakuri's Observation Haki will foresee your every move. Then you'll know the consequences of invading Mom's territory."
........................
At this moment on the other side
After nearly an hour's voyage, the giant ship carrying the food supplies slowly approached the port.
Under the rising sun, the outline of a massive building gradually came into view. It was a castle made of countless cakes and cookies, radiating a dreamlike glow in the sunlight.
"What an extravagant building," Rasa said in a low voice as he walked up to Minato.
Minato didn't reply, but simply nodded. The two followed the supply team, using their transformation abilities as cover as they walked into the castle.
"Halt." The guard raised his hand to stop the group, carefully checked everyone's pass before letting them in.
Passing through the wide city gate, Shuimen suddenly stopped, his brow furrowed. Luosha noticed his companion's unusual behavior out of the corner of his eye and, under the guise of adjusting the food box, leaned closer and asked, "What did you find?"
"The Flying Thunder God Kunai I gave to the Raikage and the other two suddenly became blurry, like there was a membrane between us, and the perception wasn't clear enough," Minato said in a low voice.
"What do you mean?"
"It's like entering some kind of special space," Minato said, looking around. "This world seems to have the ability to influence space."
"Should we change the plan?" Luo Sha clenched his fists instinctively.
Minato carefully sensed it for a while, then shook his head: "Although the perception is blurry, the mark is still moving, so there shouldn't be any major problems..."
"Hey! What are you two dawdling about for?!" A loud shout interrupted their conversation.
The two turned around and saw a short, elderly man striding towards them, hands on his hips, his face flushed. "The tea party snacks are still waiting! Do you want to anger Big Mom?!"
Minato and Rasa quickly bowed their heads in agreement and followed the flow of people forward.
After passing through several intricate corridors and turning several corners, the scene before them made both of them pause in surprise.
A kitchen the size of a ninja academy auditorium appeared before them, with dozens of huge stoves neatly arranged, steam rising and mingling with the sweet aroma of cream and chocolate, and all sorts of chefs moving back and forth within.
"New guy!" A burly sous chef walked over. "Go over there and whip the cream. Remember, every dessert at Big Mom's tea party has to be perfect. Even the slightest mistake and you'll be tomorrow's dessert!"
The two walked to the mixing counter in the corner. Luo Sha stared at the large tub of cream in front of him, his hands moving somewhat awkwardly as he picked up the mixer: "This... I've really never done this before."
"Leave it to me." Minato picked up the blender, skillfully adjusting the speed. Seeing the surprised look in Rasa's eyes, he smiled and said, "I used to make sweets for Kushina a lot, so I have some experience."
While stirring, Minato infused the cream with subtle amounts of chakra, controlling every bit of force.
Soon, the cream began to become fluffy and white, emitting a faint aroma.
"Impressive." Rasa looked at Minato's technique in astonishment. "How did you do that?"
"Chakra control." Minato's hands continued moving, his voice extremely low. "Injecting wind-style chakra at a specific frequency can make the cream taste even smoother."
He paused, gesturing with his eyes, "Want some of your signature ingredients?"
Luo Sha was taken aback for a moment, then understood. He let a fine strand of gold dust seep from his fingertips and silently sprinkled it into the cream.
Minato seized the opportunity to speed up the stirring, and the wind-attribute chakra spun rapidly with the gold dust.
The gold dust, ground finer and finer under the influence of chakra, was evenly incorporated into the cream.
In the blink of an eye, the originally white cream took on a faint golden hue, shimmering with tiny golden spots under the light, as if sprinkled with starlight.
"Oh?" A passing chef was drawn to the unique color and stopped to observe. "This effect is quite good."
"Let me see." Several more chefs gathered around.
"What are you all doing here? The preparations for the tea party aren't finished yet!" the sous chef's booming voice suddenly rang out. The crowd parted spontaneously, making way for a passage.
The sous chef strode to the mixing station, but stopped abruptly when he saw the golden cream shimmering in the bowl.
He took a deep breath, his eyes fixed on the flowing gold, and carefully dipped his finger in it.
"This is...!" The sous chef's eyes widened. Golden light danced on the surface of the cream, like countless tiny stardust swirling around. "Gold leaf cream? No, the texture is even more uniform."
"Gulp." The sous chef swallowed hard, then froze, as if struck by lightning. After a long while, he finally came to his senses, staring intently at Minato: "This texture is as smooth and silky as silk."
His voice trembled slightly: "No, it's even finer than silk." He quickly scooped up another spoonful, his eyes shining, "The most crucial thing is the color effect; it's practically..."
"A golden starry sky," someone whispered beside me.
"Yes! That's the feeling!" The sous chef slapped his thigh and turned to look at Minato.
His eyes sparkled: "How about we make cream puffs with this and call them 'Starlight Cream Puffs'? Big Mom will definitely love them!"
The sous chef turned to Minato and Rosa, his tone leaving no room for argument: "From now on, the two of you will be solely responsible for making this cream! No one else is to bother them!"
"Thank you for your high regard, sous chef." Minato's lips curled up slightly, which was exactly the effect he wanted.
Upon entering the castle, he found it heavily guarded, with soldiers patrolling almost every corner. Gathering intelligence unnoticed was virtually impossible.
But the kitchen is different.
I'm currently reading the error-free version! This is the first time I've published this novel.
As the main place for preparing refreshments for the tea party, this is actually the place with the least defense. If you can get a private work area, it's like having a relatively safe place to stay in this heavily guarded castle.
Gaining their trust makes it easier to obtain intelligence.
The two continued working on making butter, and as time went on, the atmosphere in the kitchen became increasingly tense, with everyone making final preparations for the tea party.
Just as Minato was adjusting the stirring speed, his brow suddenly twitched. The three blurry marks suddenly became clear and gathered in one place, in a relatively fixed position.
One of the markings was fluctuating regularly; this was their previously agreed-upon emergency contact signal.
Minato turned to look at Rasa, who nodded knowingly.
"Sous Chef," Minato wiped the sweat from his forehead, "could we go to the restroom? My hands are getting numb from stirring for so long."
"Go quickly and come back quickly." The sous chef waved his hand. "Don't take too long."
The two walked through the noisy kitchen and turned into a secluded storage room. The small space was filled with various seasonings and kitchen utensils.
Minato held his breath and sensed the surroundings for a moment. After confirming that no one was around, he gave Rasa a wink. The two simultaneously formed hand seals, and after the white smoke dissipated, their respective shadow clones were already standing beside them.
"Remember, immediately dispel any anomalies," Minato instructed his shadow clone. The shadow clone nodded silently.
Then, Minato's clone reached out and put his hand on Rasa's clone's shoulder. In the next instant, a flash of golden light appeared, and the two figures disappeared into thin air.
"Let's go, we can't stay here too long." Minato pushed open the door to the storage room and returned to his post with Rasa as if nothing had happened.
At that moment, on the edge of the Whole Cake Island, two figures appeared out of thin air. Minato and Rasa's shadow clones looked around and saw Onoki floating in mid-air, waiting.
"Where are they?" Minato asked.
"The situation is a bit complicated, come with me."
Onoki led the two to a seemingly ordinary mirror, reached out and gently pressed forward, and ripples suddenly appeared on the surface of the mirror.
Minato stepped inside and instantly understood why the Flying Thunder God mark had become blurred.
This space seems to be separated from the outside world by a thin film. Currently, Minato's Flying Thunder God seal can only jump within the same space and cannot cross to another world.
In the center of the space, two people were bound to the ground. One was a woman with long purple hair, and the other was a burly man. Both bore wounds, clearly having just finished a fierce battle.
"What is this??" Luo Sha asked, frowning as he looked at the two people tied up inside.
"This is the Mirror Space," Onoki said gravely. "We've captured Big Mom's daughter. She has the ability to manipulate mirrors, and this space belongs to her. Through here, she can enter any location on Whole Cake Island."
Yagura continued, "Big Mom took all of everyone's Vivre Cards back, leaving only one. This Vivre Card is hidden behind the picture of the Virgin Mary on the long table in the tea party hall."
"Is the intelligence reliable?" Luo Sha stared at the two of them, his eyes sharp.
Onoki sneered, "We've already used illusion magic to interrogate them, so there shouldn't be any problems."
He paused, glancing at Minato: "There's another unexpected bonus. A pirate crew is planning a surprise attack on Whole Cake Island during the tea party."
"This is an opportunity," Luo Sha said thoughtfully. "We can take advantage of the chaos to make our move."
"We've also made some discoveries on our side." Minato pondered for a moment, "We've successfully infiltrated the kitchen and are in charge of making the snacks for the tea party."
"Can we get close to the tea party?" Onoki's eyes lit up.
Minato nodded: "And we've gained their trust. If we make our move at the tea party, we can do something underhanded."
"I have an idea," Luo Sha gestured in the air, "We'll be in charge of making the cream desserts, and we can add special gold dust to them. Once the time is right, I'll be able to control this gold dust."
"Combined with Yagura's Water Release," Onoki's eyes lit up. "It can create immense chaos in an instant. As soon as Minato touches the Vivre Card, he can use Flying Thunder God to escape."
……
The discussion lasted about fifteen minutes, during which the group carefully reviewed every detail of the plan.
After confirming that everything was correct, Minato and Rasa exchanged a glance, and their shadow clones simultaneously turned into white smoke and dissipated.
In the kitchen, Minato and Rasa, who were stirring cream, both had their pupils shrink as memories of their shadow clones flooded their minds.
"This batch is almost done." Minato casually put down the mixer, his expression unchanged.
"Hmm," Luo Sha responded, her hands still moving.
"Looks like things are going well." The sous chef strode over, looking with satisfaction at the several large tubs of shimmering golden cream. "These will be sent to the head chef later."
"By the way," the sous chef took a couple of steps, then stopped and turned around to say, "After seeing your cream samples, the head chef thought the starlight effect was outstanding. He wants you to make a few more batches to decorate the main cake in the hall."
