Chapter 32 Do you believe in parallel universes?

Fugaku Uchiha was focused on reading the book in his hands.

"There are no permanent friends, only permanent interests," Fugaku Uchiha uttered, falling into deep thought.

The situation in the ninja world is just as this old saying suggests: alliances between major villages are always temporary, while self-interest is the only constant pursuit. Neither former enemies nor current allies can be fully trusted.

Just then, with a "click," the heavy metal door slowly slid open.

Fugaku looked up at the sound and saw a tall, dark-skinned man standing at the door, who looked similar to someone from the Land of Lightning.

The man stood upright in the doorway, his hands behind his back. His gaze fell on Fugaku, a slight, friendly smile playing on his lips. "Aren't you going to invite me in?"

Fugaku Uchiha slowly stood up from his chair and nodded slightly to the man: "Please come in."

The man strode into the room and stood before Fugaku. "Hello, I am General Stark, I've heard so much about you."

Fugaku glanced down at Stark's outstretched right hand, paused for a moment, but quickly recovered, extending his own right hand to shake Stark's. "Uchiha Fugaku."

The two sat down facing each other at the table. Stark's gaze swept over the untouched food. "What's wrong? Not to your liking?"

Fugaku followed Stark's gaze to the food on the table. The carefully prepared dishes were now cold, but they still emitted an enticing aroma.

"No, that's not the case," Fugaku said directly. "It's just that in this environment, I think it's best to be cautious."

Stark was taken aback, not expecting the other party to be so direct. He reached for a fry on the table and put it in his mouth: "I understand."

A moment later, Stark swallowed the food in his mouth, his expression suddenly turning serious. He looked directly into Fugaku's eyes, his tone probing: "So, Uchiha Fugaku, who exactly are you?"

When Stark asked the question, Fugaku remained calm, as if he had expected it.

"General, do you believe in the existence of parallel worlds?" Fugaku suddenly asked, his tone calm yet tinged with mystery.

Stark was stunned, seemingly not expecting Fugaku to ask such a question. "Parallel worlds?"

He repeated it subconsciously, his expression becoming somewhat confused.

"I've only heard some theories and hypotheses, could it be..." He suddenly stopped, a look of shock and disbelief flashing in his eyes, "You mean..."

Fugaku nodded, seemingly satisfied with Stark's reaction.

"That's right," he said firmly, his voice calm. "I come from a completely different world."

"What?!" Stark's eyes widened, his face filled with disbelief.

Fugaku Uchiha looked at Stark calmly, his tone tinged with indifference. "In our universe, human technology has advanced to a level unimaginable to you," he said slowly, his voice unhurried.

"We can not only detect the existence of the multiverse, but also travel between and intervene in different universes."

Fugaku paused, his gaze deepening. "When we discover that humanity in a certain universe is facing a great crisis, especially like this time, being invaded by unknown creatures, we will send personnel to provide necessary assistance and support."

Stark seemed to finally come to his senses. He took a deep breath, trying to calm the shock in his heart: "So, how did you fight that monster that day?"

Upon hearing this question, Fugaku Uchiha's eyes narrowed slightly. The next moment, his eyes suddenly turned blood red, and three tomoe-shaped patterns appeared within them, slowly rotating.

"These eyes are the culmination of our world's technology," Fugaku said calmly, yet his voice carried an indescribable power. "The giant you see is the manifestation of energy released from these eyes."

As General Stark listened to Fugaku's explanation, his expression grew increasingly shocked.

"This is a bit too...unbelievable." He spoke slowly, a hint of hesitation in his voice. "What you're saying is beyond all our understanding and imagination. I'm not questioning your words, but...what evidence do you have to prove that all of this is true?"

"Of course I can prove it," he said calmly, his voice carrying an undeniable confidence.

"However, instead of explaining with words, I'd rather you see it for yourself."

As he spoke, he suddenly opened his eyes wide, the three tomoe in his pupils spinning wildly, transforming into a bizarre pattern. An invisible force burst forth from his eyes, shooting towards Stark's eyes like an arrow.

"What?" Stark only had time to utter a cry of surprise before he felt a tremendous suction force pull his consciousness into a vortex-like passage.

His vision instantly distorted, as if he had entered a time tunnel, and everything around him turned into colorful light and shadow that flashed past his eyes.

boom!

With a deafening roar, Stark felt his consciousness finally cease its rapid flight. He abruptly opened his eyes and found himself in space.

I'm currently reading the error-free version! This is the first time I've published this novel.

Before him lay an enormous planet. It occupied most of his field of vision, its surface gleaming with a cold, metallic sheen. It was not a naturally formed landscape, but rather a structure built from countless colossal machines.

Stark stared in disbelief at the scene before him, his mind blank.

"Where is this?" he murmured to himself, his voice filled with disbelief.

A calm voice rang in his ears. "This is our world."

Stark whirled around and found Fugaku standing beside him. Fugaku maintained his usual calm expression, as if everything before him was perfectly normal.

"This planet is the technological hub of our world," Fugaku said slowly, his gaze sweeping over the massive buildings. "Our top scientists and engineers are gathered here, responsible for developing and maintaining those devices that traverse the universe."

He pointed to a spot on the planet's surface where a towering, cloud-piercing structure stood. The tower was composed of countless intricate pipes and circuits, shimmering with a ghostly blue light.

"That tower you see is the core of the teleportation device," Fugaku said calmly. "It can open doors to other universes, allowing our messengers to cross the boundaries of space and time through wormholes."

Stark opened his mouth, but no sound came out. His gaze was fixed on the tower, his face blank and expressionless.

Just then, Stark's vision suddenly distorted. With a blinding flash of white light, Stark snapped back to reality and found himself back in the small metal room.

He looked around in astonishment, still shaken. His hand instinctively gripped the back of the chair, tightening until his knuckles turned slightly white.

"Do you believe me now?" Fugaku asked calmly, breaking the stagnant air in the room.
