Chapter 39 Driving the Crimson Storm

Chapter 39 Driving the Crimson Storm

Just then, a piercing roar suddenly came from the side. Fugaku's pupils contracted, and he turned his head sharply to look, only to see that the giant worm had silently crawled up at some point.

Its massive body charged onto the battlefield once more, like a moving mountain, closing in in the blink of an eye. The next second, the giant insect slammed into Uchiha Fugaku, its entire body hurtling straight forward like a cannonball.

"Damn it!" Fugaku roared, his eyes bloodshot. He gritted his teeth and barely managed to turn his Susanoo around, trying to block the sudden attack.

With a deafening roar, the two colossal creatures collided violently. In an instant, a terrifying impact surged through Susanoo and spread throughout Fugaku's entire body.

The next second, it flew straight back like a kite with a broken string, crashing heavily into the wall behind it.

"Bang!" The wall shattered, sending dust flying everywhere. Susanoo was deeply embedded in the wall, and the entire base teetered on the brink of collapse from the violent impact.

Intense pain instantly spread throughout his body. Fugaku Uchiha felt as if his internal organs were churning, and a dull pain shot through his chest.

He lowered his head, and a mouthful of blood spurted from his mouth, drawing a bloody line in the air.

Fugaku Uchiha noticed that his vision was gradually blurring, as the prolonged high-intensity battle was beginning to deplete his eye power.

The intense pain and the enormous depletion of chakra caused his consciousness to begin to fade, and everything before his eyes gradually receded into the distance.

"Damn it..." Fugaku gritted his teeth and cursed under his breath. He stared intently at the approaching giant worm and octopus monster, a sense of powerlessness rising in his heart.

Just then, Fugaku suddenly noticed the Storm Crimson parked behind him. Its bright red paint stood out starkly against the ruins.

A glimmer of hope suddenly appeared in Fugaku Uchiha's eyes.

He took a deep breath and, enduring the excruciating pain, slowly stood up. His eyes were bloodshot, his Sharingan spun wildly, and black chakra surged around his Susanoo.

"Ah!" Fugaku roared, and in an instant, an unprecedented power erupted within him.

The Heavenly Pillar stretched wildly in Susanoo's hands, moving at a speed too fast for the naked eye to follow. The next second, it swept out with overwhelming force, striking two Kaiju beasts hard.

"Boom!" With a deafening roar, the two Kaiju's massive bodies were swept away by the attack and crashed heavily into the base wall, creating a crater more than ten meters deep.

Fugaku Uchiha groaned, his eyes throbbing with pain, blood trickling from the corners. This attack had nearly drained his eye power, and the Heavenly Pillar in his hand could no longer be maintained, turning into specks of starlight.

He decisively dispelled Susanoo. The massive chakra armor instantly vanished, turning into countless specks of light that scattered in the air.

"What is he going to do?" Hermann asked, puzzled, as he saw Fugaku's actions.

Fugaku Uchiha leaped into the air and landed steadily on top of Storm Red's head. He gripped the cockpit door with both hands and pulled hard, actually tearing the cockpit door off.

"He wants to pilot the Crimson Storm!" General Stark exclaimed, his eyes wide with disbelief.

"Impossible!" Herman exclaimed urgently, "The Crimson Storm is even more difficult to pilot than ordinary mechs; it's the only mech that requires three pilots!"

Seeing the crimson Fugaku entering the storm, General Stark decisively gave the order:

"Activate all permissions for Crimson Typhoon!" "Load everything onto the central driver's seat!"

"General, but..." Herman wanted to say something more, but General Stark firmly interrupted him.

General Stark's tone left no room for argument: "There is no time to hesitate; we must act immediately!"

Herman gritted his teeth and quickly began operating the control panel, concentrating all of Crimson Storm's permissions in the central driver's seat.

Fugaku Uchiha entered the cockpit, at which point General Stark's voice rang out from inside the cabin.

"Operating control has been fully transferred to the driver's seat in the middle, but starting the engine will take some time. We'll try our best to give you more time!"

"clear."

Fugaku Uchiha reached out and grabbed the control device suspended above the driver's seat, then stepped into the fixing device at the bottom. The mechanical arm then automatically locked, firmly fixing his limbs in place.

General Stark, watching the two Kaiju charge at Crimson Storm again on the monitor, decisively ordered: "Fire freeze bombs! Disruptors! All engineering equipment, move in front of Crimson Storm!"

The base's weapon systems were activated again, with dozens of cryogenic and chaff rounds hurtling towards the Kaiju, exploding on their bodies and releasing large amounts of liquid nitrogen and electromagnetic pulses.

At the same time, all the working engineering machines in the base rushed towards the direction of Storm Crimson. Forklifts, bulldozers, and giant robotic arms all gathered around Storm Crimson, forming a steel barrier.

However, these measures seemed to be insufficient against the Kaiju. Although their movements were slightly slowed by the chaff and freeze flares, they still surged towards Storm Red like an unstoppable torrent.

All the construction machinery along the way was trampled flat.

Fugaku Uchiha stared intently at the display screen in front of him, countless data points flashing rapidly across it. The progress bar was advancing slowly, but compared to the Kaiju's approaching speed, it was still far too slow.

"Faster, faster," Fugaku muttered to himself, sweat streaming down his face. He gripped the joystick tightly, his knuckles turning white from the excessive force.

Seeing the Kaiju about to charge at Storm Crimson, Fugaku Uchiha gritted his teeth and decided to unleash Susanoo once again to take the hit head-on.

However, at this critical moment, a huge figure suddenly pounced from the side, like a cannonball, and crashed hard into the Kaiju in front.

"Boom!" The two colossal creatures collided, unleashing a deafening roar. The Kaiju let out a painful howl, its massive body nearly sent flying backward by the impact.

"Eureka Raiders?!"

Looking at the wrecked mecha in front of him, Fugaku Uchiha's eyes widened, and he blurted out instinctively.

The Eureka Raider was now in a terrible state, with only half of its torso intact. The rest of the body was twisted and deformed, and sparks occasionally flew out from the exposed circuitry. Every movement was accompanied by a piercing metallic scraping sound.

Meanwhile, Chuck in the cockpit gritted his teeth, staring intently at the display screen in front of him, his hands gripping the control stick tightly.

With each breath, he felt a sharp pain coming from deep within his nasal cavity, and warm liquid flowed down his chin, dripping onto the control panel.

Piloting the Eureka Raider alone without the support of a primary pilot placed an enormous strain on his brain. Neurons were overwhelmed by the intense interconnections, and every nerve was screaming in pain.

Despite this, Chuck gritted his teeth, his hands trembling as he gripped the control stick tightly, piloting the Eureka Raider towards the two Kaiju.

It stretched out its only remaining arm, tightly wrapped it around the giant worm's neck, and forcibly dragged it away from the Crimson Storm.

At the same time, the thrusters on the back of the Eureka Raiders exploded with a roar, spewing out a dazzling burst of flames.

Under the immense thrust, the mech was propelled backward at high speed, simultaneously knocking two Kaiju out of the center of the battlefield.

At this moment, the octopus's tentacles reached out towards the Eureka Raider once again.

Chuck roared and thrust the thorns on his left arm directly at the octopus's head.

With a splatter, a large amount of green blood gushed out.

At that moment, the giant worm wrapped its body around Eureka's body from behind, and its sharp blades spun and cut again.

Despite their valiant efforts, the Eureka Raiders were ultimately outnumbered.

With a deafening roar, the Eureka Raider's mangled body was crushed by two Kaiju, its metal shell shattering and parts flying everywhere.

The next second, the giant insect opened its blood-red maw and swallowed the remains of the Eureka Raider whole, along with Chuck in the cockpit.

Inside the base command center, everyone stared wide-eyed at the horrific scene before them, speechless for a moment.
