Chapter 85 Knowledge is Power

Orochimaru slowly opened his eyes, and the familiar God Space came into view. At this moment, all the injuries on his body had been healed.

"Fugaku should have returned by now." The thought flashed through his mind.

Orochimaru took a deep breath and slowly exhaled:

"Phew, although the world level is high, the difficulty doesn't seem to be much harder than the One Piece mission," Orochimaru muttered to himself. There was a hint of weariness in his voice.

He recalled the mission in the One Piece world. At that time, he had just entered the God Space, but the difficulty of the mission was just right, allowing him to use all his skills.

This time, even though his strength had greatly improved, the difficulty of the mission still pushed him to his limit.

"Is this a coincidence?" Orochimaru asked in a low voice, his eyes sharpening. "Or does the Supreme God have some way of accurately measuring our abilities, thus precisely setting the difficulty of the missions?"

"Is the Supreme Deity intentionally pushing us to unleash our full potential?"

Orochimaru recalled the feeling of being on the verge of death during each mission.

"Interesting, very interesting," Orochimaru murmured, a hint of excitement in his voice. "If that's the case, then what is the purpose of the Main God? To cultivate even more powerful Reincarnators? Or..."

He paused abruptly, a hint of surprise flashing in his eyes. "Is the Supreme God himself becoming stronger through our growth?"

Orochimaru began pacing back and forth, each step accompanied by his rapid contemplation. "If that's the case, then we Reincarnators are essentially 'nourishment' for the Supreme God?"

Orochimaru suddenly remembered his previous guess, and with a start, he stopped in his tracks.

"But if the Supreme God can truly read our thoughts," Orochimaru's voice was almost inaudible, "then is it also fully aware of my current speculations?"

Orochimaru looked at the huge ball of light that was emitting a soft glow, but the ball of light remained calmly suspended there, without any signs of anything unusual.

"The main god hasn't reacted at all..." He frowned. "Is it because my strength is too weak to warrant its attention?" Orochimaru pondered to himself, "Or is it..."

"Did the Supreme God anticipate our speculations? Was this all part of its plan?"

Orochimaru took a deep breath and continued to deduce his thoughts: "Perhaps, the Supreme God doesn't care about our thoughts. It only cares about the results, only about what we can bring to it."

As long as it doesn't affect the completion of the mission and as long as it can continuously provide "nourishment," the main god will not interfere too much with their thoughts and actions.

Orochimaru's thoughts flowed like a winding river, and suddenly, a new idea flashed through his mind like lightning. This thought made his heart race and his breathing quicken.

The idea was so audacious that he didn't even dare to think about it too deeply.

But it had already taken root in his mind and was growing.

Perhaps the supreme deity is not omnipotent. To put it another way, it is not as all-knowing as they imagine.

"No matter what," Orochimaru resolved in his heart, "I must become stronger. Only with enough power can I continue to survive here, and even..."

Orochimaru suppressed his thoughts and slowly walked towards the orb of light in front of him. As he approached, a virtual screen suddenly appeared in front of him, displaying detailed information about the mission:

[World: Fairy Tail]

Genre: Fantasy

[Level: Seven]

[Task Evaluation: A]

Main quest completed: [Destroy the R System]: 7000 reward points

Side Quest Completed: [The Fall of the Assassination Guild: Completely Eliminate the Members of the Three Crows]: 10000 Reward Points

[The Mastermind's Arrest: Gerald's True Identity Discovered by the Magic Council]: 5000 Reward Points

His gaze swept across the screen, his brows furrowing. Gerald hadn't died after being hit directly by that attack.

"And, completing a cycle mission almost resulted in a loss?" Orochimaru muttered to himself, a hint of dissatisfaction in his voice.

He had spent 2 points to redeem the nuclear bomb before, so the reward for this mission seemed somewhat disproportionate.

The main god seems to be intentionally raising the price of one-time items, encouraging reincarnators to improve their own strength.

Immediately afterward, Orochimaru's gaze swept back and forth between the rewards for the main and side quests, and he suddenly realized something.

"Compared to completing main quests, side quests seem to offer more reward points, and..."

Thinking of this, Orochimaru took out a scroll from his pocket.

With a soft "bang," a long sword appeared out of thin air in his hand.

"God, I wish to sell this sword," Orochimaru said calmly.

[The Dove Blade, identified as a three-star weapon, has been successfully recycled. 2000 exchange points have been awarded.]

"As expected, items from other worlds can not only be brought back, but also sold."

"Does this mean the Supreme God encourages the destruction and plunder of other worlds?" Orochimaru muttered to himself, his brow furrowed slightly.

"It seems the supreme god isn't exactly a righteous and benevolent figure."

"Could it be that reincarnators from other worlds might enter our world to plunder?" His voice became low and heavy.

This thought sent a chill down Orochimaru's spine. He had once thought that he only needed to face the tasks assigned by the God of War, but now it seemed that the situation might be much more complicated than he had imagined.

If reincarnators from other worlds truly exist, then their worlds, everything they know, could become prey in the eyes of others. This possibility stirred a strong sense of crisis within Orochimaru.

Orochimaru took a deep breath, forcing himself to calm down. He knew that the most important thing now was to accumulate more power.

Orochimaru opened the shop interface, his gaze falling on the remaining points. "Only 2 points left?"

A new list of products appeared before him, and his eyes quickly scanned each item:

[Flame of Punishment: 10000 points]

[Death Concerto: 20000 points]

[Autonomous Collapse Magic Circle: 5000 points]

Orochimaru's gaze swept over the options, but he was quickly drawn to the last one:

[Skill: Celestial Magic - Collection]

[Source: Fairy Tail]

[Rank: Four Stars]

[Description: Includes celestial magic mastered by Jellal from Fairy Tail, such as Meteor, Seven Star Sword, Orion, and True Celestial Magic: Starfall, among other powerful spells. These spells can manipulate the power of stars, unleashing devastating force.]

[Prerequisite: Intermediate Magic Power]

[Exchange Points: 150000]

"Celestial magic," Orochimaru muttered to himself, a glint of longing in his eyes. He recalled the astonishing power of Geralt's use of these spells and couldn't help but feel a surge of desire.

However, Orochimaru quickly calmed down. He looked away from the introduction to celestial magic and fell into deep thought.

While directly purchasing skills can quickly grant power, Orochimaru has already experienced the power directly instilled by the main god.

Those abilities seemed to appear out of thin air; although they could be controlled freely, they lacked a deep understanding.

"Acquiring skills is not as good as learning knowledge," Orochimaru muttered to himself, a determined glint in his eyes.

As a researcher who has always pursued the truth, he knows that only by truly understanding the principles can one apply them flexibly.

Orochimaru's gaze swept across the shop interface again, quickly locking onto two options:

[Magic Meditation: 5000 points]

[Complete Guide to Magic: 10000 Points]

"This is it." A look of satisfaction flashed in Orochimaru's eyes. He chose the two items without hesitation.

As the exchange was completed, Orochimaru felt a surge of information flowing into his mind.

Knowledge about magic circulation, meditation techniques, and various basic magical theories came flooding in; these were essential facts that mages needed to know before learning magic.

Furthermore, the magic seed inherent in the Magic Meditation Technique allows the reincarnator to cultivate magic power.

Opening his eyes, Orochimaru took a deep breath, savoring this peculiar experience. "Interesting," he thought.

He muttered to himself, "Although I've memorized the knowledge, it will take time to truly understand and apply it."

A meaningful smile played at the corners of his lips. "Magic and ninjutsu, two different power systems, I wonder if they have anything in common..."

The next second, Orochimaru said with a hint of anticipation, "God, I want to return."
