When I was reading the book, I vaguely remember that Sanjiang was a very powerful recommendation platform on Qidian. The books recommended there were all trendsetting books at the time.

Although Sanjiang seems to be not as good as it used to be, I never expected to be recommended at this level.

I've actually enjoyed reading novels since I was very young. I read all of them during my elementary school years, including martial arts novels, the Four Great Classical Novels, Harry Potter, Investiture of the Gods, and the abridged version of Iron Man.

Then came online novels. I vaguely remember it was in fourth grade. The first book I read was a pirated physical book, Liu Dao's "Bad Guy". Then, with my brother's help, I read "Blood of the Beast" and "Starting from Zero".

It can be said that these books, which I had never seen before, deeply attracted my attention and led me down a path of no return.

I remember when I first logged into Qidian, there were no more than twenty books on the entire website with more than two million words.

After school, I would log on to Qidian every day to see if there were any novels with long word counts, and then download TXT format ebooks from smaller websites to read on my slider phone.

There was nothing I could do. After all, I didn't have much money when I was in junior and senior high school, and online payment wasn't as developed back then, so I couldn't support genuine products at all.

Once I started working and had a salary, I basically started watching legitimate content.

Time flies, and in the blink of an eye, I've gone from a primary school student to a working adult who has even completed a part-time postgraduate degree.

I haven't been an author for very long. Around this time last year, I wrote a Naruto fanfiction on another website. My thoughts at the time were the same as many other authors: as I read more, I gradually realized that there weren't many books that interested me, or rather, the points I wanted to see were basically not found in the books I was reading at the time.

Because it was during my graduate thesis proposal writing phase, and I lacked experience in writing a book for the first time, there were too many oversights, so the book was unfortunately rushed and hastily completed, which was a great pity.

It wasn't until recently, after finishing my thesis, that I had time to rethink the novel based on it.

My initial idea for writing this novel was quite simple: Naruto is an anime I've followed since childhood, so I've read quite a few Naruto fanfictions. However, the more I read, the more I felt that most of these novels focused on improving individual strength, rarely considering the national or broader context.

After thinking about it, I realized that it wasn't a problem with these fanfiction authors, but rather that the original works rarely described these things.

Or rather, I feel that Kishimoto's Naruto has a bit of a petty, narrow-minded feel to it.

After all, besides beautiful women, what can get a man's blood pumping is probably words like "strategic maneuvering," "turning the tide," "unrivaled," and "seal the wolf's lair."

So my initial idea was to write a Naruto novel similar to Romance of the Three Kingdoms, with a touch of fictional elements, but I quickly gave up on that idea.

It's very simple, because I can't write it out.

This kind of historical fiction novel requires more three-dimensional character development. In reality, I couldn't even perfectly portray the characters from the original work in the book. The things I forced myself to write were unreadable even to myself.

I personally enjoy history, and because of my work, I often hear news about various countries, which led me to come up with the idea of ​​writing a fan fiction about Naruto from a broader perspective.

I consider myself an amateur history enthusiast because I have never read the Twenty-Four Histories in their entirety, and I don't know much about Japanese or European history. I only enjoy reading about epic historical events, and I'm not interested in those that are unremarkable or tragic.

My understanding of history comes mainly from middle school textbooks, various TV dramas, and historical novels.

Therefore, you will see historical references from various dynasties in the book. Please don't be surprised if there are any errors or omissions.

My thought about this novel is simple: it's "interesting".

As the saying goes, if your writing skills aren't enough, your imagination will do the trick.

I know my writing skills are lacking. In high school, I could never figure out the meaning of the topic when writing Chinese essays, and I could only get 48 or 49 out of 60 points.

So my idea for this book is to connect the characters in Naruto with real-life stories as much as possible, because at least as a reader, I feel that this is the kind of novel I would like to read.

Regarding the future development of this book, I can say with certainty that it will not follow the original work. This may disappoint some people, because I have seen many comments saying that I did not follow the original work and that there was no sense of immersion in the story.

However, I have always believed that the most fundamental difference between fan fiction and the original work is the difference in plot.

If we're going to stick to the original work, then why write fanfiction? Why read fanfiction?

Therefore, apart from some unavoidable key plot points, such as the Fourth Shinobi World War, everything else in this book will be re-explored.

For those insurmountable plot points, I will follow the principle of drawing the target before shooting the arrow, and try to write the process differently as much as possible.

Then there's the issue that some people criticize, the frequent use of archaic language in this article.

This problem does exist, and there's no point in avoiding it.

However, if we want to stay true to the historical story, we can't avoid quoting these classical Chinese texts; translating them into plain language would just make it seem even stranger.

Therefore, I can only guarantee to reduce it as much as possible, but I cannot avoid it.

Aside from that, I'll try my best to have as many drafts as possible, write as long as possible, and finish the story smoothly. There's not much else to say about that.
