Chapter 152 Reunion with Hinata

"No, that's just wishful thinking on your part."

After hearing Jiraiya's words, Koharu Utatane refused without hesitation.

"Can."

However, before she could finish speaking, she was interrupted by Hiruzen Sarutobi.

"Hiruzen, why are you starting to act like Jiraiya and do whatever you want?"

Koharu Utatane glared at Hiruzen Sarutobi with displeasure, recalling the earlier revelry in her mind, a faint blush creeping across her old face.

"It's not reckless; Jiraiya himself didn't want to, and we can't force him."

Hiruzen Sarutobi's eyes held an unpredictable expression; no one knew what he was thinking.

"Looks like the old man knows me best." Jiraiya clenched his fist and gave a thumbs up, his face regaining its usual lecherous smile. "Compared to my lack of motivation, the exceptionally capable Tsunade is more suited for this position."

"So when do you plan to set off?" Hiruzen Sarutobi asked Jiraiya.

"Time waits for no one," Jiraiya sighed softly. "Let's do it tomorrow morning."

Seeing that the two had made up their minds, Mitokado Homura had no choice but to comply. However, to prevent Jiraiya from escaping, he added, "There's no other way now. But as the team searching for Tsunade, we need to send three ANBU members to accompany us."

Jiraiya seemed to read Mitokado Homura's mind and smiled, "Don't worry, I won't run away this time. However, I hope to bring someone with me on this journey."

"Who should I bring?" Mitokado Yan was taken aback.

"Naruto Uzumaki, the last surviving son of the Fourth Hokage."

When Naruto is mentioned, Jiraiya is reminded of Tsunade's younger brother, Nawaki, and he sees Nawaki's shadow in Naruto.

Both of them were constantly talking about wanting to become Hokage.

If Naruto were there, the chances of persuading Tsunade to return to the village would be greatly increased.

Of course, if he knew that Tsunade was already a wife and mother, he probably wouldn't think that way.

"It seems that old man Hiruzen Sarutobi has really been driven to the brink, and he actually thought of abdicating early. I wonder what Jiraiya will think when he sees that Tsunade is pregnant with my child. His expression will definitely be interesting."

After tricking Hiruzen Sarutobi, Chiya didn't go straight back to the hot spring inn. Instead, she used her Observation Haki to listen to the conversation in the Hokage Building and arrived at Konoha Hospital, in Hinata's ward.

It was already late at night.

The moon was like a silver plate, and the sky was filled with countless stars.

Because of her excessive use of the Byakugan during her battle with Neji Hyuga in the Chunin Exams preliminaries, Hinata, like in the original story, suffered temporary blindness due to overexertion from training.

Meanwhile, Kurenai Yuhi, the teacher leading the group, stayed up all night at the hospital to take care of Hinata.

Her eyes were wrapped in bandages, she was wearing a light pink women's hospital gown, and her delicate white feet were bare.

Hinata walked along the wall to the table, her delicate hands beginning to explore.

"Are you thirsty?" Looking at the water glass and teapot on the table, Qianye pushed them over one by one, and at the same time took out a Senzu Bean from the system warehouse, crushed it into powder, and poured it into the water glass.

Unaware of the situation, Hinata carefully poured herself a glass of water. Sensing someone was there, she hesitantly asked, "Is anyone there? Is it Kurenai-sensei?"

Her ethereal voice was clear and melodious, giving people a feeling of cleansing the soul.

Chiya didn't answer, but simply sat across the table, quietly watching Hinata's adorable appearance.

"It's just my imagination," Hinata sighed softly, picked up her water glass, and slowly drank it down.

The next instant, a warm current swept over her eyes and even her whole body.

Hinata felt a wave of comfort wash over her, and her condition was better than ever before.

Even the eyes that had been slightly stinging from temporary blindness regained their clarity, and the flow of chakra in the Byakugan returned to normal.

Just then, Kurenai Yuhi, who had returned home to check if Chiya had returned to her residence, walked in.

Upon seeing Chiya appear, she was startled and quickly covered her mouth, as if afraid of disturbing Hinata or exposing Chiya's whereabouts.

However, Qianye did not play by the rules and greeted her casually, "Yo, Teacher Hong."

Upon hearing the familiar voice, Hinata subconsciously unwrapped her bandages. When she saw the familiar face in front of her, she froze in shock.

Seeing this, Kurenai assumed Hinata had been frightened by Chiya. Forgetting to scold Hinata for taking off her bandages, she hurriedly explained, "Hinata, don't misunderstand. Chiya isn't a bad person."

However, Hinata seemed not to hear Kurenai's words and slowly walked up to Chiya.

"Big brother, is that really you? Am I dreaming?"

Her ethereal voice asked two questions, but her beautiful voice was now trembling violently. Tears streamed uncontrollably down her slightly pale, youthful face, and she was completely overwhelmed with emotion.

To Kurenai's astonishment, she suddenly threw herself into Chiya's arms and burst into tears, crying, "Madam, it's alright! Big brother, you're not dead! You're not dead!"

Qianye was also somewhat surprised. Even with his composure, he never expected that the little girl in his memory, who would blush to the point of fainting if she just talked to a boy she liked, would do such a thing.

Actually, it's not entirely Qianye's fault for not understanding.

After all, he faked his death back then, and even Kurenai Yuhi and Kakashi mistakenly believed that he was dead.

Hinata is no exception.

Because of her injury during the preliminaries, no one has had a chance to tell Hinata about the Forest of Death yet.

Until the moment before, she believed that Qianye was really dead.

Faced with the pain of something lost and then regained, how could she not be moved? How could she not weep with joy?

Chiya gently stroked Hinata's head. "Aren't you afraid of me, Hinata? I'm an S-rank rogue ninja, you know."

Hinata, with tears in her eyes, shook her head vigorously. "I'm not afraid. I've always believed that you're a good person, big brother."

"A good person, huh? I'm not." Qianye smiled self-deprecatingly, inwardly marveling at how naive she was. If even he was a good person, then there would probably be no bad people in the world.

A voice rang out from the side, filled with confusion, shock, and a hint of jealousy, "Hinata, what's going on here?"

From their conversation, Kurenai Yuhi realized that Chiya and Hinata knew each other.

But she couldn't figure out how the two of them met, no matter how hard she tried.

Upon hearing this, Hinata finally realized what was happening.

Seeing that she was currently in Qianye's arms, with her hands tightly holding him, her pretty face flushed red at an almost visible speed.

The next instant, steam rose from the top of her head, and she fell straight backward, caught by Qianye, and fell into a brief coma.

"Looks like she's still the same as always, a really shy little girl." Looking at Hinata's shy appearance, Chiya smiled gently, picked her up in a princess carry, and carefully placed her on the bed.
