Chapters 163-165: Money is more important than life!

Chairman Hyodo led the bigwigs of the Black Emperor Society out of the restaurant.

They then arrived at a small stadium nearby. It wasn't their first time there, and they knew it was a hidden gem.

The arena's arena was built like the ancient Roman Colosseum, with towering stands three meters above the ground separated by bulletproof glass, allowing spectators to enjoy a commanding view of the life-or-death battles taking place on the arena.

The stadium has hosted a variety of bloody performances, including underground boxing matches, chaotic battles between various ferocious beasts, and even a showdown between armed humans and lions, much like the Colosseum in ancient Rome.

Chairman Hyodo was surrounded like a king, sitting on the throne at the very top, while the other high-ranking members of the Black Emperor Society sat at his feet like subjects.

All eyes were fixed on the arena below.

On the compacted loess of the arena, large patches of dirt can still be vaguely seen, traces left by dried blood.

On the edge of the arena, on the shelves, all kinds of swords, spears, and halberds from ancient and modern times, both Chinese and foreign, were neatly arranged.

"Bring those slaves out; I'm getting impatient."

Chairman Hyodo turned around and gave instructions to the man in black.

The entrance at the other end of the arena was opened, and soon eight or nine men with shabby faces and disheveled clothes walked out. They looked at Chairman Hyodo, who was sitting on the arena, with suspicion and uncertainty.

A man in black carefully placed a microphone near Chairman Hyodo's mouth.

He took a breath and said in a resounding voice:

"Scum! Trash! Every single one of you here is an incorrigible piece of garbage, not even worthy of being called human."

Among the crowd below the arena, who were being wantonly insulted by Chairman Hyodo, some people were indignant and wanted to refute him.

"No arguments allowed! Arguments will not be accepted! Your presence here is the best evidence!"

The loudspeakers at the edge of the arena broadcast the imperial edict without any hesitation:

"You bunch of trash! Some of you are addicted to gambling and have broken up with your wives and children; others are lazy bums who haven't worked for decades since graduation. In short, you come to me for all sorts of ridiculous reasons to borrow money at exorbitant interest rates!"

"I, in my great compassion, lent you scumbags my precious money, yet you have no gratitude whatsoever. You dare to shamelessly delay repaying it, trampling my kindness underfoot. But even so, I am still willing to give you a chance to repent."

They kidnapped us, illegally detained us, and then they talk about opportunities?

This is absolutely outrageous!

Some of the debtors wanted to curse, but seeing the menacing-looking black-clad bodyguards all over the stands, they wisely kept their mouths shut.

"I can wipe the slate clean of your debts! Not only that, each of you will have the chance to receive ten million yen."

Chairman Hyodo clapped his hands, and immediately a bodyguard in black pushed a cart piled high with banknotes up to him.

Looking at the mountain of Fukuzawa Yukichi's debts piled up above, the debtors below couldn't help but stare wide-eyed and swallow hard.

"What do you want us to do?!"

One of the debtors asked loudly.

Now they are caught in a dilemma, and with such an astronomical figure as ten million yen in front of them, they can't help but be tempted.

"Do you see the weapons around you?"

Chairman Hyodo's face flushed slightly beyond his years, and he looked excited.

"You want us to kill each other? No, absolutely not!"

Among the debtors was a young man with a pointed nose. His expression changed, and he immediately turned to the person next to him and tried to dissuade them:

"Becoming a murderer for ten million is not worth it at all. Even if someone survives, they might not be willing to let the survivor go, let alone for ten million."

"Hehehe, I'm not some kind of demon! Naturally, I wouldn't do something like asking you to kill each other."

Chairman Hyodo, feeling a bit thirsty, took the glass of red wine offered by the man in black, swallowed a large gulp, and chuckled:

"You don't need to worry about becoming murderers, because your enemy is not human, but a rather rare 'beast'."

The expressions on the faces of the debtors began to become subtle.

Every one of them was heavily in debt. Even if they hadn't been captured by Chairman Hyodo, they would have been driven to desperation by loan sharks sooner or later. But now, it seemed that a turning point was in front of them.

Ten million yen!

This is a huge sum of money for 99.99% of the people in this country.

Receiving this bounty would be a life-changing event for them, allowing them to find redemption from broken families, an unseen future, and unfulfilled dreams!

"Here's some good news: there's only one beast on the other side. With so many of you and weapons at your disposal, don't you have the courage to take the gamble?"

Chairman Hyodo sneered, picked up several stacks of ten thousand yen bills from the mountain of cash piled up on the trolley, turned on the switch on the bulletproof glass, and threw them down onto the stage like dog food.

"Of course there's danger; ten million isn't easy to earn. But money is more important than life! For trash like you, isn't it only natural to risk your lives for ten million?"

Chairman Hyodo threw out several million dollars.

"It's money, it's money!"

"It's mine, it's mine! No one is allowed to take it from me."

"Real money, real cash!"

Several people rushed over and scrambled for the ten thousand yuan bills on the ground like mad dogs fighting over food.

"Hahaha! That's it!"

Seeing the debtors' pathetic state, Chairman Hyodo burst into laughter.

"You have five minutes to consider! If you miss this opportunity today, you'll regret it for the rest of your lives."

A strange expression appeared in Chairman Hyodo's eyes.

Hehe, if you guys have a second half of your lives.

The debtors whispered among themselves for a while, and finally decided to go for it!

That old man whose identity is unknown said that their opponent is an animal, and there is only one!

There are also various long and short weapons to choose from on the arena. With so many people armed, even if you face lions, tigers, bears, and wolves, you will have a fighting chance and a very high chance of winning.

Judging from the size of import and export volumes, these bastards would never let an elephant in.

"This is your decision, entirely of your own free will, without any coercion whatsoever. In that case, let's begin."

At the chairman's command, the heavy fence on the other end was opened.

For safety's sake, the debtors all carried javelins with the widest possible range, sweating profusely as if facing a formidable enemy.

A white figure leaped past in a flash, grabbing a debtor's head and slamming it against the wall!

With a "bang," it shattered like a rotten watermelon, spilling red and white liquid all over the ground.
