I became Hokage in Tokyo

Chapter 45-046: The Beginning of the Wujia Mountain Incident

Chapter 45-046: The Beginning of the Wujia Mountain Incident

"Things are getting more and more complicated," Naruto Uchiha muttered to himself as he opened his eyes.

His right eye still had two tomoe, while his left eye had three black tomoe rotating around.

Sharingan LV2 (50/100)

Naruto Uchiha's three-tomoe Sharingan in his left eye was not awakened by the brain secreting special chakra due to emotional stimulation, but entirely due to system-added points.

It turns out this bug existed in the Naruto game. Apparently, it required 100 proficiency points to upgrade both Sharingan to LV3, while only 50 points were needed for one eye. The system seems to have inherited this bug.

Although only one of them is a three-tomoe Sharingan, it is also a hypnotic eye and can cast illusions.

Naruto Uchiha had seen the blond thugs, monks from the Seishin-kai, and members of a yakuza gang mingling together, and it turned out they were about to stage a scene where the trashy brother was colluding with outsiders to seize the family fortune.

If it were only the former, there would be no need for Uchiha Naruto to intervene. He could simply inform Matsudaira Chiyo, whose power would surely be enough to protect the Takasaki sisters.

However, unexpectedly, the kidnapping was premeditated because they were twins, which involved the emerging religious group, Orthodox Faith. Anything related to religion becomes extremely troublesome once you get involved.

Not to mention sacrifices, that's nothing short of cult behavior!

more importantly……

The words "extraordinary" and "sacrifice" touched a nerve with Uchiha Naruto.

Unlike those low-level thugs, Uchiha Naruto knew that there were demons and evil spirits in this world, and that true supernatural powers existed.

Could this cult leader, who claims to have real magical powers, actually be an extraordinary person?

However, according to the six-armed demon he encountered, there are no human supernatural beings like Onmyoji in the world, only the Uchiha Weapon Master.

Was the information about the Six-Armed Demon wrong, or is the world changing, with superhuman beings emerging after the demons and evil spirits?

The thought that the situation might be beyond his imagination made Uchiha Naruto restless and unable to eat or sleep. He could tolerate monsters and evil spirits, but if humans also began to master supernatural powers, it would definitely be bad news for him.

"The sect leader will demonstrate his supernatural powers at the Dharma assembly, which happens to be at six o'clock in the evening..." Uchiha Naruto tapped the table with his index finger and pondered.

After school, Uchiha Naruto called Takasaki Tsuki to ask for leave, then left the school and went to the North District, where he transformed into an ordinary-looking student. He went to an internet cafe and asked for a computer.

Japan has a very relaxed system of household registration. This is because, after the war, people were wary of the strict household registration system established during the militaristic period for conscription. Opposing strict household registration became politically correct. You don't need to show your identity to go to an internet cafe; you just need to pay.

Naruto Uchiha turned on his computer and searched for information about the Seishin-kai.

These emerging religions are all legal religions established with official permission. Because they need to proselytize, they also understand the importance of keeping up with the times. Many of them have their own websites and even have Twitter accounts to communicate with believers. Believers can also make electronic donations.

The Zhengxinhui's homepage is very well-made and innovative, much more appealing than the monotonous homepages of some prefectural governments in Japan that have remained unchanged for decades.

Naruto Uchiha browsed the information on the homepage website. The Seishinkai is a new religion registered in Chichibu District, Saitama Prefecture, and has obtained religious corporation status. It has only been registered for three years, but the website says that the Seishinkai has more than 200 monks, 100,000 laymen, and 300,000 believers registered with the Religious Affairs Division of the Ministry of Education!

Of course, the Seishinkai will definitely boast on their homepage, and it's hard to say how much of that is exaggerated, as the entire population of Chichibu County doesn't even add up to that many.

Even so, even if it's only one-tenth or one-twentieth of the total, for a newly established religion with only three years of registration history, its development momentum can be described as booming.

Naruto Uchiha raised an eyebrow, wrote down the address of the Seishinkai headquarters, and left the internet cafe.

"Let me go and meet this cult leader, and see if he's a fraudulent charlatan or a true superhuman!"

…………

Mount Muko, located in Yokose Town, Chichibu District, Saitama Prefecture, is 1,300 meters above sea level and is named after the armor of Takeru that is enshrined there.

At the foot of Mount Wujia lies a huge Japanese-style courtyard. The main gate and some of the towers inside still have obvious Buddhist styles. Under the eaves of the main gate hangs a plaque inscribed with "Zhengxinhui" (正信会), with the calligraphy being so elegant and powerful that it is clear that it was written by a master calligrapher.

A handsome young monk, dressed in a white robe, waited anxiously.

"It's almost six o'clock, why hasn't the Iijima family arrived yet? Damn it, did they run off with the money? I knew Yakuza were a bunch of scum! Useless! Parasites!"

The young monk cursed loudly with a furious expression.

Just then, a Subaru pulled up, and a handsome young monk in his thirties with thick eyebrows and big eyes, along with a couple and two children around ten years old, got out of the car.

"Your Excellency, the two lay Buddhists are truly meritorious for donating their children to the Zhengxin Association! Please go in from here; the Dharma assembly will begin soon."

The couple, with devout expressions, led their bewildered children into the courtyard, guided by a monk.

"Junior Brother Kimura, haven't you completed the task the sect leader gave you yet? I brought the male twins with me." The young monk said provocatively.

"Damn it... those twin sisters will be here soon, Brother Date." Monk Kimura said reluctantly, bowing his head.

"You can't even handle such a small matter; it seems you'll soon fall out of favor! When the cult leader gave me the initiation last night, he said that after this sacrifice, he would also impart extraordinary power to me, and I will soon possess supernatural abilities like the cult leader!"

Senior Brother Date patted Kimura Monk's fair, boyish face with a smug look on his face, then strode away.

"You bastard!"

Beside the young monk were several other monks holding staffs and guarding the gate, but they all kept their eyes straight ahead, pretending not to see or hear anything. These two were the most favored disciples of the leader, and they were not comparable to ordinary monks like them.

Over the next half hour, cars arrived one after another, and believers entered the courtyard, with dozens of cars parking in the parking lot outside the manor.

The time finally came to six o'clock. The sky was overcast, shrouded in dark clouds, and a light drizzle began to fall, but none of this could dampen the enthusiasm of the hundreds of believers who had gathered. They stood in a dense mass in the courtyard of the manor.

The Buddhist hall of the Zhengxin Association is designed in a very special way. It is a semi-open building structure, and the floor of the hall is not paved with wooden planks or tiles, but directly exposes the soil.

The murals on the first floor of the room depict the Buddha suppressing evil spirits in bright red and green colors. A clay statue of a wrathful, terrifying-looking Vidyaraja sits cross-legged on a lotus pedestal.

"Master!"

"Master!"

"Master!"

Amid the fervent shouts of the believers, a portly, obese monk dressed in a magnificent purple robe appeared on the top floor of the attic.

This cult leader, who looks bloated, greasy, and bald except for being no different from an ordinary office worker facing a midlife crisis, actually has a golden halo around the back of his head!

It shines brightly in the darkness, dazzling and radiant.

With a flick of his sleeve, the cult leader leaped from the seven- or eight-meter-high pavilion, seemingly unafraid that his stomach would swell up like a ripe, bloated tomato and turn into a puddle of mud on the ground.

A hazy golden Buddha's hand materialized in mid-air, catching the cult leader's enormous body and gently lowering him to the ground.
