Chapter 51, Section 53: Game Over!

Arc Cinema, the Saw screening room, Eric and Gadot disguise themselves and sit in the last row.

Eric didn't care, since not many people would recognize him on the street anyway, but Gal Gadot was different.

After the cast list for "Transformers" was announced, her information was dug up, and paparazzi began to appear around her apartment.

Although the number was small, it already showed signs of stardom, and Ballefali was featured in several magazines as a result.

By the end of November, Frank Darabont had finally completed the pre-production work, and filming for The Walking Dead had begun.

The reason it happened so quickly was mainly because Eric was willing to delegate authority and hand it all over to Darabont, who then brought over his own team of old staff.

Except for a few roles that were determined through auditions, most of the roles were played by my former co-stars. Since I was going to use them anyway, I figured I might as well use familiar actors, which would be more efficient.

By early December, the crew had already started filming, first shooting simple scenes in the studio or inside houses, and then filming the big scenes after the holidays.

Especially for scenes involving road closures, MGM is currently going through the government application process, and it's estimated that it will take more than a month for approval.

"You mean, Ballefali got scolded?" Eric asked with interest.

Gadot sighed: "She's been a bit better these past few days. When she first joined the crew, the director scolded her terribly, and she would come home every night and pour out her grievances to me."

"What? The director scolded me today for not being able to move properly and not being able to find the camera. The director scolded me again for not being able to cry. She thinks she is a joke on the set and is looked down upon by everyone."

"It's driving me crazy. It's her fault for not studying hard. Judy gave us a chance, but she just stood there dumbfounded."

"I don't know what she was thinking. She even hoped I would plead with you to ask the director to be more lenient with her, but I didn't agree. As a result, she didn't speak to me for several days."

Eric was speechless: "She's 17 and has even worked as a part-time model. Is she still this immature? You want me to ask Darabont to plead for her? I bet Darabont has been cursing me behind my back for ages. Everyone else gets to audition, but she was just forced into the cast."

"If Lefari makes any more unreasonable demands of you, convey my message to her: if you don't want to act, you can get lost. I don't want one bad apple to spoil the whole bunch!"

"Forget it, you two are such good friends, it's not appropriate for you to say such things. I'll let Judy clean up her mess."

Upon hearing this, Gadot frowned: "Is this a good idea? Won't Judy have any objections?"

"Heh. You underestimate our friendship. I've known Judy Newhouse for over four years, and I know her personality very well. When it comes to making a decision, she'll be decisive and take the first step!"

Suddenly, the lights in the screening room went out, and the previously noisy sounds disappeared instantly.

oooo

A large, brown-haired lion shook its head and roared a few times, and the movie officially began.

As cold water filled his nose, Adam, the protagonist played by Patrick Wilson, woke up in the bathtub. The suffocating feeling of drowning made him kneel on the ground and gasp for breath. His uncomfortable expression made his condition obvious at a glance.

"See that? That's what you call acting!"

Gadot nodded, her attention focused on the big screen.

Then the lights came on, and the dirty, enclosed environment made people feel uncomfortable. The sight of Dr. Lawrence, handcuffed to a tube opposite, and the corpse lying in a pool of blood on the ground made the scene even more eerie.

After the tape recorder finished playing the sound of the jigsaw, Adam found the saw in a black plastic bag. The two tried to saw through the chain, but to no avail.

"I think this isn't for sawing chains, but for sawing legs!"

oh

After Eric finished speaking, the white guy sitting in front of him couldn't help but lean back.

The audience also saw through the director's intention, and their previously scattered attention began to focus on the big screen. This plot is quite interesting!

As the flashback begins, the first victim appears: a man named Paul who was imprisoned in an iron cage filled with razor blades because he liked to commit suicide by cutting his wrists to attract attention.

To survive, he had to crawl out of the blades and endure the excruciating pain of being slowly sliced to death, but he only had 3 minutes.

With more funding and the cooperation of MGM's props department, James Wan's torture devices were significantly better.

The sharp, cold light was enough to send chills down one's spine, and Eric could already hear the groans of many spectators.

As Paul struggled desperately to survive, the razor blade sliced into his obese body, and his painful screams, accompanied by dripping blood, drew gasps from many onlookers.

I glanced to the side and saw Gadot squinting, looking like she was saying, "I'm only looking through a slit, so you won't scare me."

Eric reached out and pulled her into his arms. Since it was just the two of them in the last row, he figured he might as well let her sit on his lap and rub against him.

Just as the audience breathed a sigh of relief, the second victim appeared.

A naked man covered in grease has been injected with a slow-acting poison, and the antidote is in a safe nearby.

The room was dark, the floor was covered with broken glass, and the walls were covered with strings of numbers that were probably safe combination codes.

The man had to carefully hold the candle for light while enduring the excruciating pain of glass piercing his body, trying the code again and again.

Ultimately, the pain drove the man to the brink of collapse, and he accidentally knocked over a candle, setting himself on fire.

On the screen, watching the Fireman howl madly and writhe in agony on broken glass, almost every viewer felt a chill run down their spine.

"Charlie, I can't stand it anymore, let's go." A girl tried to pull her boyfriend away.

The boy, however, pleaded excitedly, "Honey, this movie is absolutely fantastic! I don't want to miss it, please, please watch it!"

The movie continues, and Amanda, the pig girl, appears, along with Jigsaw's iconic ghost face doll.

Amanda's task is relatively simple, but it tests her humanity. She needs to kill another person, cut open their stomach, and get the key to the mechanism.

She ultimately chose to kill him, and after being rescued, she subtly exhibited symptoms of Stockholm syndrome, even becoming grateful to Jigsaw.

Then the fourth set of torture instruments appeared: a man was strapped to a chair, with two electric drills on either side approaching his head, and the man would be blown off in a minute.

The key to turn on the switch was in the box, but there were dozens of keys in the box. Jigsaw also revealed his true form for the first time, hidden in his robe, so that people could only hear his old voice.

Shortly afterward, as a pig-faced man suddenly darted out, screams erupted throughout the theater, and Gadot huddled even tighter into Eric's arms.

Adam and Lawrence then tried to fool Jigsaw with fake cigarettes, but their over-the-top acting drew laughter from those around them, easing the tense and terrifying atmosphere.

But before he could relax for even a few minutes, Lawrence suffered a mental breakdown due to the murder of his wife and daughter. In the end, he took off his shirt, tied it around his legs, and sawed off his own ankles amidst Adam's desperate screams.

The gushing blood mixed with Lawrence's agonizing screams made the audience's hearts pound wildly.

Many people closed their eyes, finally understanding why one of the posters featured a severed foot and a saw.

The plot has now reached its climax. Just when the audience thought Jigsaw was the hospital's psychopathic caregiver, Adam found the same tape recorder in the caregiver's body, revealing that the caregiver was also a member of this killing game.

At this moment, John Williams' soundtrack begins, accompanied by rapid flashbacks in the plot, and the corpse that was lying in a pool of blood in the room slowly stands up.

He dropped his pretense and uttered the words that plunged Adam into despair: "The key is in the bathtub."

Adam had already drained the bathtub, and the key had already gone down the drain.

"Game Over!"
