Douluo Continent: The Holy Evil Emperor.

Chapter 192 Inviting the Next Genius

"Please welcome the next genius Soul Master to come and challenge us!"

What stands out is arrogance; genius is merely the threshold to meet me!

But the tens of thousands of people present, including the audience, remained completely silent. Looking at the completely destroyed Soul Arena, and then at Ye Qing, who was surrounded by the Shrek Academy members in the center with his hands in his pockets, seemingly oblivious to his opponent, the deathly silence was finally broken.

Next second,

Thunderous applause—

……

The morning's matches were abruptly suspended because this was only the first match, and the arena that the Star Luo Empire had built with a lot of resources was already gone. It was impossible to rebuild the arena in a short period of time.

Even if they only watched one match, and even if the match lasted less than ten minutes including the players' entrance, the audience still thoroughly enjoyed it.

The shock brought by Ye Qing's two 100,000-year soul rings, and the terrifying power of his 100,000-year soul skills, left an unforgettable impression on them.

Ye Qing shattered the championship dreams of other teams with just one soul skill.

If any team were placed in the position of Tianling Advanced Soul Master Academy, they would have no confidence in withstanding Ye Qing's attack. This means that as long as it is a team battle or an individual battle, Shrek Academy cannot lose as long as Ye Qing is present.

The 2-2-3 strategy might have a sliver of hope of winning, but it would depend on the other members of the Shrek team underperforming, allowing them to win the other two games after losing one to Ye Qing.

But is that even possible?

Shrek Academy has never lacked geniuses!

At the same time, the students of the Sun Moon Royal Soul Master Academy, who were all high-spirited and arrogant yesterday, thinking that Shrek Academy was conceited and that pride would surely lead to defeat, were now sitting in the conference room, men silent and women weeping, their faces ashen.

"It's over, it's all over!" Mika slumped on the sofa, opened his mouth, and showed a smile that was more like a grimace.

Ma Rulong's expression shifted like a Sichuan opera face-changing act, turning from green to purple. The thought of his confident promises from yesterday made him feel extremely uneasy.

Fortunately, Xiao Hongchen didn't use his words from yesterday to attack him, because Xiao Hongchen was also starting to doubt life.

Huo Yuhao's simulated 100,000-year soul ring was meant to scare people. Xiao Hongchen could, of course, stubbornly shout that it was impossible and fake, but Ye Qing had already demonstrated the power of a 100,000-year soul skill, collapsing the arena with a single blow, and even a Title Douluo had to intervene to save his opponent.

Even with Xiao Hongchen's pride, he had to bow his head and admit that there were geniuses in the world who were more outstanding than him.

A long silence fell over the Sun and Moon team's meeting room until a slightly silly laugh rang out.

"He's so handsome..."

……

Although the elimination rounds were delayed by a day because Ye Qing destroyed the arena, the first round still ended quickly.

It's worth mentioning that after the arena was repaired, officials from the Star Luo Empire even came to the Shrek team's rest area to find Ye Qing, and very tactfully asked him to be gentler next time, at least not to damage the arena too much.

Otherwise, if Shrek had to rebuild the ring every time they finished a match, how could the matches even take place?

More importantly, the ring can't be made cheaply; it has to be strong enough. Otherwise, it would be even more ridiculous if anyone came up to fight and destroyed the ring.

Ye Qing didn't argue with the staff of the Star Luo Empire and readily agreed.

He's not a husky, he doesn't have the habit of destroying the house every day. Although this isn't his home, he's not a husky either. Besides, releasing a 100,000-year soul skill consumes a lot of soul power. A Holy Rain of Ten Thousand Blades of the scale he used before would consume a full ten percent of his soul power, and he would need to use his soul core to circulate for a minute to replenish it.

This is really too tiring; it's best not to use it if you can avoid it!

After the first round of elimination matches was completed, only 67 of the 133 teams that had registered remained. Apart from the lucky teams that received a bye, the other 132 teams all participated in a match.

The next round of the competition will be a round-robin tournament.

The round-robin format is much more complicated than the knockout format. It consists of seven or eight rounds. Finally, based on the accumulated points from the wins in the round-robin, the 67 teams are divided into 32 teams to enter the third round of the knockout stage.

Just as Zhang Lexuan said, after Ye Qing showed off in the first round of elimination matches, he rarely played in the round-robin matches.

Even without Ma Xiaotao and her group in the original story, the few people in the reserve team were able to make it into the top 32 elimination round.

With Ma Xiaotao and the other two as the backbone, and Ye Qing backing them up, the round-robin tournament is much easier. Because of Ye Qing, Ma Xiaotao and the other two don't need to hide their strength at all.

No matter how well they concealed their abilities, they couldn't even match one-tenth of the strength Ye Qing hadn't revealed.

So we just let them go.

No matter how much other teams study Ma Xiaotao and her two companions, it's useless, because the Shrek team still has Ye Qing, a mountain they can never cross.

In the first match of the first round after the elimination rounds, Shrek Academy once again encountered Yunluo Advanced Soul Master Academy, which was the same as Shrek Academy in the original story.

Then, at Ye Qing's signal, Dai Yueheng took to the field and defeated three opponents in a row, shattering the fighting spirit of the Yunluo team. After defeating their captain in the third match, the Yunluo team immediately surrendered. This made Dai Yueheng, the eldest son of the White Tiger Duke, extremely grateful to Captain Ye Qing.

If we let him go and get a job, he'll thank us.

After Ye Qing's moment of glory, Shrek Academy's matches will naturally attract a lot of attention, all of whom are there for Ye Qing's 100,000-year soul ring.

These people didn't see Ye Qing defeat seven opponents single-handedly, but they did see Dai Yueheng, the son of the White Tiger Duke, showcasing his skills, which truly allowed Dai Yueheng to gain a lot of prestige in Star Luo City.

He would be very grateful to Ye Qing.

From this point on, the second combatant of Shrek Academy's regular team was revealed: White Tiger Battle Soul Emperor Dai Yueheng, the second Soul Emperor after Ye Qing.

Dai Yueheng's appearance made the already desperate participating teams even more disheartened.

We can't win, we can't win even a little bit. We can just surrender this game. There's absolutely no need for us to fight a battle we can't win.

After the first battle of the round-robin tournament, we arrived at a very crucial point in the original story: the purple-level auction where the Soul-Devouring Carving Blade was auctioned off.

Now that Ye Qing has already acquired the Soul-Devouring Carving Knife, and it has even become his Eye of Life, will there be any other good things at this auction?

Ye Qing was very curious.
