Full-Time Magister: A Hellish Start, But the Shadow King

"Today, I have returned to reclaim control of the empire. If I hear similar rumors again, I will not stand any longer."

The Mother of Medusa's icy tone made no attempt to conceal her murderous intent and threat.

As Queen Mother Medusa, her words are absolute commands!

The overwhelming pressure of the bloodline of the first demon god made all the Medusas present feel as if their lives were once again intertwined with that of the Queen Mother.

If Queen Medusa were to refuse, she could sever their lifelines in the blink of an eye!

"It is an honor for our Serpent Empire that Your Majesty has once again led the empire!" said Medusa, the Serpent Queen, with concern.

"But Your Majesty, are you fully recovered?"

"Apas has found a way to heal my injuries, and I am now fine," said Medusa's mother.

Upon hearing this, the Medusas' faces lit up with joy. Had the former queen truly returned?!

The aura of the Mother of Medusa is now no weaker than it was in life.

Although his body was tainted with the aura of the dead, his golden imperial eyes still possessed divine might, no different from those at their peak!

"As expected, we misunderstood the Third Prince. How could the Third Prince, who is closest to the Queen Mother by blood, possibly frame her?"

"Indeed, the Third Prince always puts the Empress Dowager first. Now that the Empress Dowager has recovered from her injuries, the Empire has no more worries."

"."

The other Medusas chimed in.

Apas stood behind the Mother of Medusa, somewhat unable to believe it.

She knew her mother's condition all too well, even though the official news was that she was seriously injured.

But in fact, the mother had secluded herself in the seventh level of space because her lifespan was coming to an end.

The mother before her reminded her of her own mother, but she was absolutely certain that this was not her mother who was about to pass away.

What exactly happened?

"I will handle the matter of Apas and Trisina. You may all leave," Medusa commanded.

"Furthermore, recall the army that Trisina sent to assist Khufu. Anyone who disobeys this order will be considered a traitor!"

"Yes, Your Majesty!"

"."

Under the regal aura of Medusa's mother, the tribal chiefs echoed her sentiments and hastily withdrew to recall their serpent army.

..............................

The leaders of the serpents all withdrew, leaving only Medusa's mother, Apas, and the dying Trisina.

Medusa's mother's demonic form vanished in an instant, slowly transforming back into a human.

This scene startled Apas.

From childhood to adulthood, she had never seen her mother turn back into a human.

The blonde woman in front of him felt both familiar and strange, a very odd feeling.

"Apas, don't you even recognize your own mother?" Medusa's mother asked Apas with a smile.

Apas was born to her and a human woman, and her bloodline was closest to hers. She was also her most beloved daughter.

She originally intended to hand over the empire to Apas before her death, but unfortunately, plans can't keep up with changes.

Unexpectedly, his eldest and second daughters were not to be underestimated. As his life began to decline, they revealed their ambitions and began to seize power in the empire.

Later, taking advantage of her weakened state, they colluded with Khufu to seal her in the seventh level of the evil temple.

"Mother?" Apas asked cautiously, somewhat uncertain.

"Stop guessing, she is your mother, Queen Medusa, but not the one in life, but the one after death."

Cheng Xiao's voice came from behind, and Apas quickly turned around to look, only to find that Cheng Xiao had already come up behind her without her noticing.

"Your Majesty!" Medusa's mother knelt down, bowing respectfully to Cheng Xiao.

Apas stared wide-eyed, completely unable to believe what she was seeing. Her mother, who was an emperor, was actually kneeling before Cheng Xiao!

"Mother, Master, what is going on?" Apas was completely baffled.

"You should explain it to her properly," Cheng Xiao said.

"Yes, Your Majesty."

"."

Inside the Great Hall of the Mother of Medusa.

Apas looked at his mother's slain body, then at his mother who had been resurrected as an undead soldier, and was momentarily unable to accept it.

"It was the King who gave me a new life. If it weren't for the King, I would have been imprisoned here by Khufu forever, waiting for my life to wither away," said Medusa's mother.

"What is the price?" Apas glanced at Cheng Xiao and asked cautiously.

"Eternal loyalty." Medusa's mother uttered these words calmly, stroking Apas's head as she spoke:

"Now your mother, like you, will forever obey the king."

Apas pursed her red lips, seemingly struggling internally, but quickly accepted the reality.

She said to Cheng Xiao:

"Thank you, Master, for giving my mother a new life. I will be just like my mother, forever loyal to you."

"Do you even need to tell me?" Cheng Xiao said with a half-smile.

Apas immediately shut his mouth and dared not say another word.

In fact, she had been thinking about whether she could find an opportunity to escape Cheng Xiao's enslavement.

But now she has truly resigned herself to her fate. After all, her mother has already been enslaved by Cheng Xiao and become Cheng Xiao's soldier. How can she resist?

However, such an outcome is not unacceptable.

If Cheng Xiao hadn't appeared, she would have been relentlessly pursued by her two older sisters until her death.

The mother will also be completely imprisoned until her death, when she will be used by Khufu.

Rather than letting Trissina and Euryale control the Serpent Empire, let Khufu be the biggest beneficiary.

It would be better for her and her mother to remain loyal to Cheng Xiao forever, so that at most, she and her mother would only have one more Cheng Xiao above them.

If it were the former, neither she nor her mother would survive.

Cheng Xiao saw through Apas's little scheme at a glance, but didn't expose it.

In any case, both Medusa and her daughter are already enslaved by him and can never rise again.

Ironically, this scheming little bitch, Apas, still dared to dream of escaping her control—how naive!

"Your Majesty, the Imperial forces have already withdrawn rapidly. Do you require Imperial troops to depart immediately?" Medusa's mother asked.

"Withdraw first, hold your position. There's still one problem we haven't solved," Cheng Xiao asked.

"How strong is the Serpent Ancestor?"

"The Serpent King Bemang is merely an ordinary sub-emperor, far inferior to my level," said Medusa's mother.

"An ordinary sub-emperor?" A question arose in Cheng Xiao's mind:

"What realm was He in before He devoured you?"

Medusa's mother saw through Cheng Xiao's true doubts and explained:

"Reporting back to the king, the snake king Beman was merely a monarch before his subjects transformed into Medusa."

"It took me thousands of years to transform into Medusa, while the Serpent King Bemang, whose bloodline was lower, took a thousand years to break through.

"The years that I spent with the Serpent King Bemang to become a sub-emperor were not as long as you think."

Upon hearing this, Cheng Xiao suddenly realized what was going on.

No wonder, if Medusa's mother and the serpent ancestor were thousands of years ago, they would have been quasi-emperors.

After so long, the Serpent Ancestor couldn't possibly be an ordinary sub-emperor. (End of Chapter)
