Mizukage's Pokémon Ninja Scroll

Chapter 154 A Good Neighbor to the Commoners of Kirigakure

"Brother Ju, how can I trouble you again?"

The fruit shop owner rubbed his hands together somewhat embarrassedly, watching as the ninja, Tachibana Kanagawa, busied himself repairing the roof of his small shop.

"Hey, Uncle Sakata, what are you saying? I've been through this place quite a bit when I'm out on missions, so it's only right that I fix it up."

The owner of Sakata was overwhelmed with emotion.

His fruit shop is located in a high-traffic area on the entire commercial street, and business is very good.

However, as a major transportation route, it was inevitable that these high-flying ninjas would pass over the rooftops.

Some ninjas are in a hurry, so they wouldn't care about something as trivial as damaging a roof.

Even though he was once injured by a piece of tile falling from the roof, no one offered any compensation.

As an ordinary civilian, he didn't dare to complain to the ninja masters, so in the end, he could only blame himself for his bad luck.

However, I didn't expect this young ninja named Jianchuan Ju to be so enthusiastic. Even though he hadn't received any missions, he helped me several times.

They helped me deliver fruit a while ago, and now they're helping me fix my roof.

Moreover, I heard that he has helped many shops and residents in the area.

"What a kind person!"

"Are you tired, Orange Bro? Want to have some fruit and rest for a bit?"

"No need, Uncle Sakata, I have to go now. I'll take care of the rest for you another day."

After finishing speaking, Jianchuan Ju didn't linger. With a leap, she disappeared without looking back.

Only the owner of the Sakata restaurant, holding freshly washed fruit, was left staring blankly at the roof, which was only half-repaired.

"Brother Orange is a nice guy, but why does he always only get halfway through his work?"

The fresh food store owner, who had been watching the commotion, smiled and patted the owner of the Sakata store on the shoulder.

"Haha, alright, stop spacing out. You can handle the rest yourself. You were in the hospital for so long before, so you didn't have much contact with Brother Ju."

"Last time, Brother Orange helped me move ten boxes of seafood and said he would come to help with the rest next time, but he didn't come for four or five days. Luckily, I didn't keep waiting for him."

"Haha, that's how it is. Last time, the delivery guy helped me deliver packages. He delivered five out of seven packages and then disappeared."

"I was lucky. Before, when Brother Ju came to help Meizi sew rag dolls, after he finished sewing four, he kept asking if there were any leftover materials, insisting on sewing one more for her."

Several business owners on the commercial street came over with smiles to share their experiences of being helped by Jianchuan Ju.

However, even those who were actually hindered by Tachibana Kenkawa's help were not angry.

It's important to know that D-rank missions are rare in Kirigakure, and it's not just because the village's ninjas don't like taking on such low-level missions.

Similarly, due to the general atmosphere, these commoners are not very willing to entrust such small tasks to the ninja masters.

So it's rare to find such a kind-hearted and unpretentious ninja in a place like Kirigakure.

The civilians who received help were overjoyed, so why would they complain about such a small thing?

Instead, it felt like, "Since everyone is praising my child, I can only politely point out a few of his shortcomings."

"By the way, where did Orange Bro's little frog go?"

"It seems like it's undergoing special training. The other day, when Orange Bro was helping me clean up the dried fish, he even said he'd buy some to treat it."

"I guess it'll be the same today, after all, Tachibana-kun is already a Chunin. Wait a minute? You're going to charge me for a few dried fish, you old geezer?"

"What nonsense are you talking about? How much does a little dried fish cost?"

"So you'll accept money if it's too much, right?"

"Are you trying to cause trouble, you old geezer?"

Seeing that the two old men, whose combined age was over a hundred, were about to start a full-blown fight, the others quickly pulled people apart and tried to break up the fight.

Suddenly, this small commercial street became even more lively.

As for the other side, our "good neighbor of the common people of Kirigakure" had no idea that after he left, these old men and women would start arguing because of him.

Even if she knew, Jianchuan Ju didn't have time to care about it.

The main reason is that he has been extremely busy lately.

Perhaps it's because Jianchuan Tachibana consistently performed well in the previous series of missions, or perhaps it's simply because Jianchuan Tachibana's loyalty to Kirigakure is as clear as day.

In short, even though the Six-Tails Jinchuriki had only been attacked not long ago, Tachibana Kenkawa was asked to continue accompanying Fuku to train Utakata as a ninja.

Moreover, having gained a clearer understanding of Tachibana Kanakawa's strength, his role now extends beyond simply providing medical support.

Most of the time, he acts more like a teaching assistant, helping Fuku teach the Jinchūriki.

It was tiring, but Yu Gao, that little brat, kept calling me "Brother Lu," which was kind of cute.

Jianchuan Ju had no choice but to reluctantly agree.

However, the two times he was chased like a dog before still deeply stung Tachibana.

Although one of her enemies was the future Fourth Raikage and the other was the future Fourth Hokage, the fact that she survived their attacks is enough to prove Tachibana Kenkawa's strength.

However, for Tachibana Kanagawa, a transmigrator with special abilities, it still felt somewhat humiliating.

In addition, inspired by Lan Zai's rigorous daily training, Jian Chuanju has also started to increase his own training and entered a crazy training mode.

Of course, as someone who uses cheat codes, Tachibana Kanakawa knows exactly what her core strengths are.

It's not just about improving one's basic attributes through diligent daily training.

Jianchuan Ju never misses her daily "routine tasks".

Occasionally, he would use his public identity to freeload some simple ninja missions with Mei Terumi and the other two.

However, as a serving member of the Dark Guard, he needs to be on standby at all times, so he cannot participate in missions that require leaving the village or are too troublesome.

This also resulted in the amount of gold coins obtained through village quests being consistently less than ideal.

As for today's Jianchuan oranges.

In the morning, I went to the training ground with Lanzi and practiced hard all morning.

I ran around again at noon and completed all four of my "daily tasks" for the day.

Now it's afternoon and we have to rush to the "suburban villa" to assist Fuku in training Yugao.

"Brother Lu, you're here to train with me again?"

As soon as I entered the courtyard, I heard Yu Gao's somewhat obedient voice.

This house, almost as large as a castle, located on the edge of the village, was naturally the new residence arranged for Yugao by the village's higher-ups after the last attack.

Moreover, perhaps out of caution, the number of secret agents stationed, both overt and covert, has increased significantly compared to before.

However, Tachibana Kenkawa herself didn't have any ulterior motives and didn't care about it.

"Xiaoyu, how's your mastery of the moves I taught you coming along?"

"Hehe, Brother Lu, look~"
