Mizukage's Pokémon Ninja Scroll

Chapter 212 The Power of Gold Sand

Not to mention Tachibana Kanakawa, who has already landed safely.

At the border of the Land of Fire, the Sky Ninjas, whom both Tachibana Kenkawa and Minato Namikaze believed should have already retreated, were arguing in the shadows halfway up a mountain.

"Kono! You coward! Are you just going to stand by and watch Captain Kenkawa cover our retreat?!"

The second squad leader, Toshio Utsumi, roared with wide, furious eyes.

"Shut up! This is the squad leader's order! Are you trying to hold Captain Jianchuan back by staying there?!"

Kono retorted just as fiercely.

There's no time for these melodramatic love stories on the battlefield. As a ninja, completing missions according to orders is the top priority.

"If we're here, at least we can cover the captain's retreat! Even if we all die there, the captain must survive!"

"With the captain's talent, he'll wipe out Konoha one day and avenge us!"

Faced with his colleagues' criticism, Kono's tone softened, and he offered some words of advice.

"Captain Jianchuan is facing Konoha's Yellow Flash. That level of battle is beyond our ability to intervene. In fact, our presence might actually hinder the captain's ability to fight freely."

However, in his rage, Toshio Utsumi wouldn't listen to Kono's advice and instead cursed at him.

"Are you afraid of the Yellow Flash? Kono! You don't deserve to be a Blood Mist Ninja!"

Thinking of how Jianchuan Tachibana always tells everyone to protect themselves on the battlefield, and often says "life is more important," and that even if it means losing equipment, he will bring everyone back, he is now fighting against the strongmen of Konoha for the sake of them.

Utsumi Toshio clenched his fists, then finally flung his sleeves away, refusing to look at Kono in front of him.

"Second squadron! Follow me back to the rescue!"

"Yes!" x3

After saying that, the four members of the second formation immediately jumped into the air and took off.

The fourth and fifth formations followed without hesitation.

The captain of the third flight formation looked at Kono with a conflicted expression and spoke.

"Kono, us"

To everyone's surprise, Kono suddenly slapped himself, startling all the other Sky Division ninjas around him.

Then Kono growled in a low, irritated voice.

"Captain Jianchuan ordered me to bring you all back safely. Now that they're gone, what are we all for!"

"Everyone! Keep up!"

"Yes!" xN

The remaining four formations all agreed and immediately took to the air to catch up with the three squads in front.

However, just as the group approached the location of the previous battle, before they could launch an attack on the Konoha convoy or search for Tachibana Kanagawa, they immediately discovered something unusual ahead.

"What is this?"

A sharp-eyed air force soldier suddenly noticed tiny golden specks of light drifting around him.

Kono, who also noticed the anomaly, immediately changed his expression and shouted at all the Sky Division ninjas.

"Everyone turn around! Get away from this airspace!!!"

Upon hearing this, everyone immediately tilted their hang gliders and adjusted their flight angles.

Even the three squads flying at the very front obeyed the orders without hesitation.

However, the next moment, countless grains of sand gleaming with dazzling golden light rapidly surged up from the ground in the distance.

In an instant, a giant wave of golden sand, tens of meters high, was stirred up on the ground. Moreover, this terrifying wave continued to move forward, rapidly expanding its coverage area.

At the same time, the gold dust, which had previously been slowly drifting in the air, suddenly became extremely violent and began to tremble violently, even starting to attract the hang gliders and assault rifles behind the group.

In just a few seconds, the equipment of the three squads led by Toshio Utsumi began to faintly emit a golden glow.

The glider in flight also began to make an ominous creaking sound, and even faint arcs of electricity and flames appeared.

"Inland Sea! Drop your equipment!"

"Bang!" "Bang!" "Bang!"

All twelve ninjas from the three squads were forcibly deactivated from their hang gliders, along with their kunai and assault rifles, before free-falling to the ground.

The moment the equipment left the ninja, it exploded into sparks and fragments high in the sky.

"Help!"

The rest of the group immediately swooped down and hugged their teammates.

Just now, in order to ensure the flight altitude, everyone took off directly from halfway up the mountain.

As an elite ninja of the Sky Division, falling from a height of tens of meters is not usually dangerous, but falling from a height of hundreds of meters like this will inevitably result in broken bones and tendons.

However, rescuing people while standing on top of falling gold dust caused several people's equipment to break down due to the weight of two people.

Fortunately, the altitude had dropped low enough that everyone eventually landed safely on the ground, albeit awkwardly.

However, of the twenty-odd people, only a few were still properly equipped.

But it was only then that these Sky Division ninjas had time to look at the overwhelming waves of golden sand.

"Kawano, it doesn't seem like this is aimed at us."

The golden sand waves, now tens of meters high, crashed towards the Konoha convoy with the force of a tsunami.

Kono said with a somewhat bitter expression.

"Yes, we were just affected by the Fourth Kazekage of Sunagakure, Rasa."

Everyone could hear the endless resentment and deep sense of powerlessness in Kono's words, because they felt the same way at that moment.

Unexpectedly, the accidental ripples almost wiped out their entire air ninja squad of more than twenty people.

"Is this the Shadow?"

It was someone's mutterings, but they expressed the feelings of everyone.

Of course, they also misjudged the strength of Luo Sha to some extent.

After all, the special gliders of the Kirigakure Air Division were originally made of an alloy with excellent magnetization properties in order to make more efficient use of the shipborne catapult system.

Rasa's "Magnetic Release: Gold Sand" technique also uses magnetic force to gather and manipulate gold sand for attacks.

The tiny gold dust particles that were floating in the air and were not under Luo Sha's control, which should have been constantly gathering towards the "Gold Dust Burial", instead directly adhered to everyone's metal equipment halfway there.

The reason why the Kazekage of Sunagakure have always restrained their village's puppet army is that these manipulated tiny grains of sand can easily interfere with and destroy the complex structure of the puppets, thus rendering the puppeteers unable to fight.

It is not surprising that these metal equipment in the air section malfunctioned and became unusable after being coated with agarwood.

Of course, the idea that they were caught in the crossfire and wiped out was a misunderstanding by the Sky Division ninjas.

However, the towering gold dust waves tens of meters high in the distance are real, and the awe they bring to everyone is not to be underestimated.

Just as these Kūbu ninjas were looking at the incomparable giant waves in despair, believing that the Konoha troops were doomed,

"Boom~"

A huge cloud of white smoke exploded.

A giant toad, as large as a mountain, stood before the gold sand tsunami.
