Chapter 265 Freezing Tailed Beast Ball

Donning the ANBU mask, Tachibana Kanagawa once again concealed all her emotions.

That's right. Although Tachibana Kenkawa and Harusame had already been transferred out of the Anbu, they still wore masks and operated under their previous Anbu codenames during this secret mission.

While it certainly has a hint of self-deception, it's still better than blatantly doing bad things.

And like previous ANBU missions, this mission will not be recorded in detail in the ninja files.

"There's nothing to be sentimental about. Ninjas are simply tools. Whether they're ordinary ninjas or members of the Anbu, all they need to do is faithfully complete their missions."

Perhaps sensing that Tachibana's words were not entirely sincere, Kisame Hoshigaki also said something that was perhaps a form of comfort.

Jianchuan Ju shrugged, not wanting to dwell on the matter any longer, and simply changed the subject.

"Shou, don't you think there's something strange about this mission?"

"Um?"

Since it concerned the mission, Kisame Hoshigaki's tone became more serious.

"Did Dr. Lu find something wrong?"

"Nothing about this is right!"

Jianchuan Ju really wanted to say that, but the strange thing he felt was mainly because the mission felt so familiar. He couldn't quite put his finger on what was wrong.

Finally, he could only mumble a vague answer.

"Last time, the Hidden Cloud Village at least deployed the Fourth Hokage, A, and two tailed beasts. Now, with only this many people, aren't we a bit lacking in strength?"

Kisame Hoshigaki looked at Tachibana Kanagawa with some surprise before saying something with a sense of relief.

"When the Cloud Village attacked before, the Third Hokage was still in the village overseeing the operation, and they launched the attack from the ground."

"This time, all of Kumogakure's main fighting force is in the Land of Fire, leaving Kumogakure's headquarters very vulnerable. Furthermore, the attack was launched from the air by Dr. Roku and Captain Fuku. If there are no unexpected events, there may not even be a battle."

"Yes, even if a battle breaks out, I believe that Dr. Yilu's abilities will allow him to easily complete the mission."

"Uh, hehe, okay." Jianchuan Ju smiled awkwardly and didn't explain further.

Fortunately, a member of the secret service ran over at that moment.

"Captain Kotobuki, Lord Roku. We're almost at the border of the Land of Lightning!"

Although they had reached the border of the Land of Lightning, the Hidden Cloud Village itself was not located near the coastline.

The group still had a long way to go.

After the ship docked, only two secret agents remained on board to steer it away, while the rest disembarked in single file.

The "Zero Carrier," which was sealed and wrapped in layers of seals, was carried off the ship by Chunyu, who had just come out of the cabin.

however.

Just as everyone had settled on the shore, before the boats had even left.

Suddenly, the "danger premonition" in Tachibana Kanakawa's mind exploded!

The warning was far more intense than any previous one, and the scent of death was palpable.

Jianchuan Ju suddenly turned her head to look in the direction of the danger warning.

At the edge of the line of sight, a blazing red light is rapidly expanding.

Despite their exceptional dynamic vision, the red orb continued to shoot toward where everyone was standing at an extremely high speed.

"Tailed Beast Ball!!!!"

After a loud shout, Jianchuan Ju no longer had time to remind others.

Before anyone could react to what was happening, Jianchuan Ju leaped into the air, simultaneously clasping her hands together in a rapid series of hand seals, facing the massive energy projectile that was already within arm's reach.

"Ice Release! Absolute Zero!"

With a roar, Tachibana Kenkawa unleashed an endless stream of freezing energy from his palms, which collided directly with the massive Tailed Beast Ball.

Time seemed to stretch out infinitely at this moment, and the Tailed Beast Ball that flew towards them was instantly tainted by the extreme cold air upon contact.

Above the red light that originally symbolized destruction and danger, a chilling white aura was spreading rapidly at a visible speed, gradually engulfing the entire Tailed Beast Ball.

By the time the Tailed Beast Ball touched Tachibana Kanagawa's palm, the violent energy within it had been completely frozen, turning into a huge ice ball.

A loud crash rang out.

A large amount of air blasted out from the back of Tachibana Kenkawa's shoulder blades, and he managed to firmly block the "Tailed Beast Ball" ice ball in front of him, which finally crashed to the ground.

The Hidden Mist members, who were only now realizing what had happened, stared in disbelief at the scene before them. Their eyes showed no fear or relief after escaping death, only utter shock.

At this moment, Jianchuan Ju's body was already covered with a fine layer of white frost.

The figure, which seemed tiny compared to the enormous tailed beast and ice ball, now appeared incredibly majestic, firmly protecting the Hidden Mist Village members behind it.

If you raise your gaze at this moment, you will be able to see it.

Centered on the jujube tree, a thin layer of frost covered a radius of several hundred meters in front of it, as if time had jumped to the dead of winter in an instant, and this was only the scene caused by the aftershocks of 'absolute zero'.

Jianchuan Ju withdrew her hands and landed on the ground, breathing lightly and exhaling a long white breath.

He casually brushed off the frost off his body and looked at the huge ice ball in front of him.

"Damn it! What happened to the secret operation?!"

If it weren't for Tachibana Kanagawa's timely discovery of the attack and prevention of the Tailed Beast Ball from falling into the crowd...

If it weren't for Tachibana Kanagawa's recent improvement in control over Ice Release, which stopped the spread of the aftershocks of "Absolute Zero,"...

If it weren't for the [Frozen Skin] item I drew recently, which not only provided Jianchuan Ju with considerable defense but also greatly enhanced his freeze resistance...

Every single one of the Hidden Mist ninja present would be killed without any explanation.

【Special Ability*Frozen Skin】(Purple Item: When condensing chakra, a layer of imperceptible ice armor can be applied to the body. This ice armor does not affect the user's actions and provides considerable defensive capabilities.)

Tachibana looked at the fine cracks on her arm that were rapidly healing. If it weren't for this ability, which was somewhat similar to Gaara's "Sand Armor," even if she had successfully frozen the Tailed Beast Ball, she would probably have suffered internal injuries from the impact.

"Dr. Tachibana!"

"Lord Jianchuan!"

At this moment, most of the Anbu members, including Kisame Hoshigaki, no longer cared about any secret operation and quickly gathered around Tachibana Kanekawa, standing guard ahead.

"Swish swish swish swish—"

Hundreds of figures from the Cloud Shadow Sect instantly appeared before everyone, led by the Fourth Generation A and Killer Bee, the AB brothers.

The Fourth Hokage, A, stomped on the frozen ground beneath his feet, then looked at the Tailed Beast Ball that had turned into an ice ball next to Tachibana Kanagawa, and spoke with a tone of shock.

"When did such a powerful individual appear in the Snow Clan?! How could they freeze a Tailed Beast Ball?!"

The fourth generation Ai looked at the somewhat familiar figure of Tachibana Kanagawa, but did not recognize him at first glance.

Killer Bee nudged him and reminded him.

"Big brother~ the healer, you bastard, you brat."

"Healing? Tachibana Kanakawa! Wings of the Gale! It was you!"
