Mizukage's Pokémon Ninja Scroll

Chapter 4 Class

The following morning, at the Ninja Academy.

"Water Release: Hidden Mist Technique is the signature ninjutsu of our Hidden Mist Village. Only a few of you may have the opportunity to learn this ninjutsu, but I require all of you to understand the Hidden Mist Technique and learn how to fight within its coverage area."

On the podium at the front of the classroom, the young teacher was giving a lecture attentively.

However, most of the students were clearly not paying attention to the teacher.

The two students to Jianchuan Ju's right were clearly still recovering from yesterday's practical test, and were excitedly discussing the exciting matches from the previous day.

"Whoosh~ thud!"

A kunai, accompanied by the whistling of wind, grazed the head of the student in front of him and landed squarely on the desk of two students who were still in a state of excitement.

The young teacher coldly watched the two students who were stunned by the sudden appearance of the kunai.

"What? Do you want to come up here and talk about your understanding of the Hidden Mist Technique?"

"If you are fortunate enough to graduate and become ninjas, but you know absolutely nothing about the Hidden Mist Technique, are you prepared to stand there like idiots in the mist with the enemy and wait to die when your team leader uses it during missions?!"

"Hmm? Say something!!"

As the young teacher's voice gradually rose, almost all the students fell silent, obediently putting their minds at ease and looking straight ahead.

However, Tachibana Kanagawa was an exception, because just now his attention was completely drawn to the guy who was sitting in the front row because he was shorter than the other students in his class.

Even though the other person hadn't been paying attention and was staring out the window in a daze, they suddenly turned around the instant the Chunin teacher threw the kunai, and there were vague signs that they were about to take a defensive stance.

"So, Zabuza Momochi's strength has improved again? It seems he really didn't use his full strength during yesterday's test."

Ever since she transmigrated and learned that she was in the same class as this eyebrowless assassin, and that they would be taking the graduation exam together, Tachibana Kanagawa has been observing Zabuza, intentionally or unintentionally.

Jianchuan Ju inquired about the content of the previous year's exam. It involved throwing all the students of the same year onto an island and giving each person a token. Only those who obtained two tokens could board a ship and leave the island to graduate from the Ninja Academy at the end of the exam.

According to Tachibana Kanagawa's estimation, Zabuza's strength at that time was definitely a level above these students.

Perhaps four months later, Zabuza will have the strength of a newly promoted Chunin, and only then will he be able to kill all the more than one hundred civilian candidates participating in the exam.

Yes, only commoner students participate in this cruel graduation exam, or rather, only commoner students attend the Hidden Mist Ninja Academy.

The Hidden Mist Village's ninja academy, while modeled after the ninja academy system established by the Second Hokage, differs from Konoha Village, where even the Hokage's own son and the prodigy from the prestigious Uchiha clan attend school alongside ordinary citizens.

The Hidden Mist Ninja Academy only admits children of civilians, war orphans, and ninjas from small clans.

I heard that when the Second Mizukage first established the Ninja Academy, there were also some collateral descendants from bloodline families or secret technique families who enrolled.

However, since the Third Mizukage implemented the Blood Mist policy, most capable clans have adopted an internal training system, and only those who pass the training can apply to the village to become ninjas.

After all, such assessments inevitably involve an element of luck, and no one wants their children to be wasted for no reason.

This divide further exacerbated the already serious conflict between the ninja clan faction and the commoner faction in Kirigakure.

Jianchuan Tachibana speculates that this is probably why Zabuza did not suffer any backlash after committing such a massacre of students, and was still able to become one of the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist in the future.

The deceased student had no background, Zabuza's actions were in accordance with the rules, and he also proved his ninja talent, so naturally no one pursued his responsibility.

This cruel ninja world is so cold and ruthless.

Initially, after Tachibana Kanagawa had just overcome her confusion about being a transmigrator, she became somewhat arrogant, believing that as a transmigrator with a cheat code, she would definitely be able to easily defeat Zabuza Momochi in five months.

The first lottery draw dealt him a heavy blow; the ten prizes offered negligible improvement to his combat power.

From then on, Tachibana Kenkawa also came to terms with reality. Lottery gacha was indeed unreliable. If he had bad luck in the lottery and didn't work hard, he might not even be able to beat the average students in his class in the graduation exam.

The huge gap made Tachibana Kanakawa once consider whether she should seek refuge with a bloodline family to survive and develop, or break her leg before the exam to try to repeat the year until next year.

Anyway, since Zabuza's massacre this year will abolish the elimination system in next year's exams, I can safely become a ninja.

After all, coming to such a dangerous world, one would definitely want to become a ninja or someone in a privileged class. Besides, he already has a cheat-like advantage; all he lacks is time to develop.

However, yesterday I drew the Water Release medical ninjutsu [Water Release: Water Flow Ring], which gave Tachibana Kanagawa some new ideas.

"I'm going to the hospital to see Aunt Huizi after school today."

However, while Tachibana Kanakawa was still thinking about her next plans.

"When an ordinary Chunin uses the Hidden Mist Technique at full power, the initial range is 10 square meters. How long would it take to spread it to cover a forest with an area of 3600 square meters?"

"Jianchuan, you answer this."

The teacher on the podium probably noticed that Tachibana Kanakawa, who had always been very active in answering questions in class recently, was actually daydreaming, so he immediately called on him to stand up and answer a question.

"Everything's fine!"

"First, we can consider the standard Hidden Mist Technique as a circle. The spread speed of a normal Chunin Hidden Mist Technique is approximately xx. Due to the influence of the forest on the ninjutsu, the time taken is @#%."

"Good answer. Pay attention in class."

When Jianchuan Ju sat down, she secretly wiped the cold sweat from her forehead. When she saw Lanzi sleeping on the desk, she almost couldn't maintain her fake smile.

Fortunately, the questions at the ninja academy were all at the elementary school level, combined with some basic ninja knowledge. And because of my recent positive performance, which left a good impression on all the teachers, I was not singled out as a negative example.

[Ding! Complete 50 correct answers in class to unlock the achievement "Starlight Anya! Makes Her Debut!"]

Not bad, I also achieved a new accomplishment.

To avoid upsetting the teacher who didn't seem to be in a good mood, Tachibana Kanagawa decisively put aside her distractions and focused on the lesson. Besides, the ninja academy's courses would indeed be helpful for her future ninja career.

The last rays of the setting sun dappled the playground through the thick fog, and the buildings and trees on campus appeared and disappeared in the mist. Students walked out of the teaching buildings in twos and threes.

"Ju, are you heading in this direction today? Aren't you going to the training ground?"

A familiar classmate watched as Jianchuan Ju hurriedly ran out and asked in confusion.

"I have something to do today, so we can talk about training you another day."

Tachibana Kanagawa responded with a cheerful smile, but her feet didn't stop as she quickly ran towards the Hidden Mist Hospital.

The distance between Kirigakure Hospital and the Ninja Academy is not too far; they are said to have been established at the same time as Kirigakure Village.

Although both ninjas and civilians from the village receive treatment at this hospital, it is not highly regarded due to the prevailing atmosphere in Kirigakure, and it appears quite old compared to the school.

The cylindrical stone brick building was covered with moss, and if it weren't for the large "medical" character on it, it would be indistinguishable from the ordinary residential buildings next to it.

Most of the people coming and going were ordinary villagers.

Just as Tachibana Kanakawa was about to step inside, she saw a figure in a white coat talking to a nurse in front of the building.

It's strange, really, that the medical technology in the ninja world is so out of control.

However, it was noted early on that bloodstains and dirt could easily breed bacteria and cause infection in patients. The easily soiled white color made it easy to spot these stains and replace and clean them in time to ensure medical hygiene. At the same time, white also helps to calm the patient's psychological state.

So, many years ago, doctors in the ninja world started wearing white coats, which is quite similar to the medical system of the previous life.

While Tachibana Kanakawa was lost in thought, the doctor must have finished explaining things to the nurse.

Turning around, I saw Tachibana Kanakawa standing in front of the building, lost in thought.

"Little Orange, what made you decide to come here today?"

A middle-aged woman with long blue hair and a gentle demeanor spoke first and walked towards Jianchuan Ju.

Seeing this, Tachibana Kanakawa also put on her signature smile and obediently responded.

"Aunt Huizi, I have some questions I'd like to ask you. I came straight here after school."
