Mizukage's Pokémon Ninja Scroll

Chapter 451 The Exam Begins

"I'll reiterate: the rule for this exam is that there are no rules."

"Two players will battle in the arena until one surrenders or is eliminated. The winner advances, and the loser is eliminated, until a final victor is determined!"

At this point, Chunyu glanced at the eight determined-looking kids in front of her.

"Of course, as the examiner of this exam, I have the right to stop the duel when I believe the outcome is decided."

"Did you understand?"

Chunyu's statement about ending the duel at any time was actually more about saving the losing side in case these kids couldn't stop in time at crucial moments.

With so many high-ranking officials and nobles watching, and village leaders also present, it was impossible for Kirigakure to openly favor their own examinee.

Therefore, even the genin from the outer village did not have any objections.

All eight nodded in agreement.

After seeing that all the candidates had made their final confirmation, Chunyu did not delay any longer and directly controlled the big screen to display the opponents for the first round.

The remaining candidates also immediately retreated to the preparation area to wait.

"The first match: Kirikakushi Ringo Ameyuri vs. Amegakure Furinka!"

The audience members who had been waiting in the stands erupted in a thunderous cheer.

Amidst these cheers...

Yahiko attended the match as the leader of Amegakure.

Seeing that the first match below was actually their own Amegakure's sole representative, he asked Konan, who was standing next to him, with some curiosity.

"That little red-haired girl, isn't she Tachibana's disciple?"

Xiao Nan nodded upon hearing this, a smile appearing on her face.

"Yes, she's a very strong kid. I don't know if Linghua can beat her."

Although the one fighting below was his own disciple.

However, whether it was because of her relationship with Tachibana Kanagawa or her familiar red hair, both of them had a strange fondness for Ringo Kobayashi.

Furthermore, after their previous conversation with Tachibana Kanagawa, Yahiko and Konan no longer took these kinds of children's fights so seriously.

Or rather, the less attention the Hidden Rain Village needs to receive from the outside world, the better.

So at this moment, neither of them really had a particularly biased stance.

Even as the two were talking, the battle below had already begun.

"Ding ding ding ding~"

Although it was clearly an origami shuriken and a kunai thrown by Ringo Ameyuri colliding in mid-air, the sound of the collision was exactly like that of metal.

After a brief probing, Ringo Ameyuri immediately abandoned her limited throwing ninja tools in favor of a long-range attrition battle against her opponent's endless origami shuriken.

After dodging the second attack from the bellflower by maneuvering and weaving,

Ringo Ameyuri immediately gripped the twin swords on her back and swiftly charged towards her opponent.

Upon seeing this, the bellflower quickly retreated.

Just as Ringo Ameyuri stepped over the spot where the bellflower had just stood.

The once ordinary floor tiles underfoot were now strangely peeling up at the edges, like stickers, and even emitting white smoke with a hissing sound.

"Ninja Technique* Detonate the Flame Formation!"

As the bellflower's crisp shout rang out, the part of the ground disguised as origami explosive tags immediately turned into flying pieces of paper, completely enveloping Ringo Yuri's surroundings.

next moment.

"Boom boom boom~"

Amidst the continuous roar, smoke and flames exploded in all directions.

Ringo Kobayashi's figure was completely engulfed by the waves of violent explosions.

In the stands, Kanakawa Tachibana was whispering with the two shadow puppets.

Upon seeing this, I almost spat out my water.

Luo Sha, however, glanced casually at the situation and spoke with a cold, sarcastic tone.

"It seems the Mizukage's disciple lost a little too quickly, didn't he?"

However, Tachibana Kanagawa was not angry at all upon hearing Rasa's words.

Even what almost made Kanagawa Tachibana lose her composure just now was not what Luo Sha thought, because his disciple was in danger.

But

"Could it be that Konan taught Amegakure this move?"

Jianchuan Ju looked down at the explosion with a face full of black lines.

It's important to know that in the original story, Hanzo the Salamander used this ambush tactic, which nearly killed Konan and left Nagato paralyzed for life.

Although the principle behind the Wind Chime Flower technique below seems to be slightly different from Hanzo's "Fire Release: Exploding Flame Formation".

However, it seems a bit odd for Xiaonan's student to use this move.

"So filial!"

Just as Jianchuan Ju was thinking about these strange and unusual things.

Seeing that he remained silent, Luo Sha seemed to be getting a little bored.

I immediately thought of whether I should continue to make sarcastic remarks about Jianchuan Ju.

It would be best to make this young water spirit reluctant to rescue the disciple below, out of consideration for his pride.

Those who can participate in the final exam are all talented to some extent. Luo Sha must be laughing in his dreams to have his talent wasted here.

However, before he could even utter another word...

From within the smoke of the explosion below, Ringo Ameyuri's figure suddenly burst forth.

Moreover, with Luo Sha's keen eyesight, even from the stands, he could tell that the brat had only suffered minor scratches.

Those audience members who were initially feeling sorry for Ringo Kobayashi gasped in surprise at this sight.

Meanwhile, seeing Ringo Ameyuri burst out of the explosion, the opposite Kaede's eyes narrowed.

"What kind of monster is this?!"

Without pausing, she spread her origami wings and flew into the air.

Ringo Amori, who had just escaped the explosion, didn't care about what others thought.

The "iron block" taught by my own teacher.

Well, it's just a new thing that Tachibana Kanagawa created by combining "defense acupoint striking," "hardening," and a bit of Steel Release techniques.

Although the "Iron Block" helped her withstand most of the damage, she still suffered just as much pain.

All she could think about now was ending the fight as soon as possible so she could go back and receive proper treatment.

Thinking of this, Ringo gripped the twin swords behind her again.

Tiny golden arcs of electricity flickered between his palms, then flowed rapidly along the blades of the twin swords throughout his body.

"Lightning Release: Swallow Return!"

Before he could finish speaking...

Ringo Ameyuri transformed into a golden streak of light and appeared before the bellflower in a flash.

Before she could react, Ringo Yuri stomped her feet hard on the ground.

The golden streak of light, accompanied by a series of crackling sounds, instantly changed direction.

At a 45-degree angle, it shot rapidly towards the bellflower in the air like a sharp arrow.

The next instant, two bolts of lightning passed each other.

The bellflower, unable to dodge in time, closed its eyes tightly.

At that moment, she felt as if the Grim Reaper's scythe was gently caressing her skin.

However, the thunder was short-lived.

Then, Windbell Flower felt a void behind her.

Only then did she realize that the only thing she had was a pair of origami wings on her back that had been shattered.

But the lightning bolt just now barely grazed past him and didn't hurt him at all.

Having lost her ability to fly, she quickly fell to the ground.

Lying on her back on the ground, all she could see was...

The red-haired figure soaring high into the sky had scratches and tears all over his body.

But under the sunlight, her smile was exceptionally radiant.
