Mizukage's Pokémon Ninja Scroll

Chapter 476 Test Subject One

Tachibana Kanagawa had witnessed Mei Terumi and the others' Zero-Tails Jinchuriki forms before.

Although his combat strength is slightly stronger than that of an ordinary Jonin, it is only due to the basic improvement brought about by the size and amount of chakra of the Zero-Tails.

After transforming into the Zero-Tails, the Jinchuriki completely loses their reason and consciousness, and fights without any strategy or method.

What's even more frustrating is that this thing can't replenish its dark chakra by absorbing negative emotions from the outside world like the "official" Zero-Tails; it just forcibly drains the life force of the Jinchuriki.

If it weren't for Tachibana Kanagawa's timely appearance, the three of them, including Mei Terumi, might have been drained of their life force by Zero-Tails within them if things had dragged on any longer.

Indeed, there are a lot of negative effects.

Using it solely to train suicide soldiers would be a waste of human resources.

Not to mention that after Zero-Tail transforms, its main body will also exhibit some signs of mutation, severely affecting its appearance.

If there are still so many negative effects, then Tachibana Kenkawa might have to take the initiative to refuse this "enhancement" on Zabuza's behalf.

Zabuza has good talent, and with proper training, he can eventually reach the level of a weak kage. There's no need for him to take shortcuts now.

The others also looked at the researcher with worried expressions, giving off a feeling of being in a delivery room, wondering whether to save the mother or the baby.

On the other hand, Zabuza himself, lying on the hospital bed, looked up at the sky with an indifferent expression.

For him, the real, tangible increase in power is what he desires most.

Zabuza no longer wants to feel the helplessness that comes with being weak.

Especially after seeing his former idol, Yagura Karatachi, go astray.

The researcher first looked at the water shadow of Jianchuan Ju before speaking somewhat cautiously.

"There's no way to completely eradicate it at the moment; it just means that the Zero-Tails will remain inside Zabuza's body indefinitely."

"The Zero-Tails will continue to absorb the residual negative emotions of those spiritual entities and continue to grow. It is expected that when the Zero-Tails within Zabuza reaches a certain level, the protective power of the seal will be insufficient, and it will very likely continue to absorb Zabuza's chakra and life energy."

"The chakra refined by a normal ninja should not be enough to sustain the continuous extraction at the level of the Zero-Tails."

Upon hearing this, Jianchuan Ju also frowned slightly.

So-called life energy is simply lifespan.

In the current situation, although the Zero Tail inside Zabuza may provide him with a certain boost in combat power in the short term.

But when it comes to actually starting to extract lifespan, the scale of Zero-Tail will probably not be small.

Given its size, which is similar to that of a tailed beast, it's hard to say whether Zabuza's life energy would be enough to take a single bite from the Zero-Tails.

Moreover, this is not the kind of chakra extraction that consumes chakra during battle, but rather it provides growth for the Zero-Tails within him.

Therefore, even if Zabuza doesn't engage in combat, this extraction will not stop.

After a moment's thought, Jianchuan Ju asked again.

"So unless there's another way to completely eradicate this Zero-Tails, we just need to find an energy source that can replace Zabuza's own power before it grows stronger, right?"

The researcher was taken aback when he heard this. He had thought that the Mizukage would suggest continuing to find a way to eradicate the Zero-Tail, but he did not expect that the Zero-Tail was being fed energy.

Fortunately, he was in charge of Zabuza's treatment, so his knowledge in this area was naturally quite good, and he quickly explained.

"If we're simply providing energy for the growth of zero tails, there are actually other ways."

"For example, the negative emotion absorption barrier left behind, or if the mental residue on Lord Zabuza's body really is a demon, continuing to kill people to increase the number of mental residues should also solve the problem."

"We anticipate that the growth of the Zero-Tails within Zabuza's body has a limit. Once it reaches its limit, it will begin to replenish itself and absorb energy from the outside world to sustain itself, just like..."

At this point, the researcher glanced at Qing standing to the side, the meaning of which was self-evident.

After all, the Zero-Tails was created to rival the Tailed Beasts.

"However, Zero-Tails is, after all, an aggregate of negative emotions. Its current growth is also mixed with the spiritual remnants within Zabuza. I am worried that if we continue to use negative emotions as fuel for its growth, it may end up with Zero-Tails mixed with too much evil and become uncontrollable."

"Even the Zero-Tails Jinchuriki himself could be affected by negative emotions and fall into madness."

"unless."

As he spoke, the researcher glanced at Qing again.

This infuriated Qingda, who had been listening attentively to the lecture.

Qing didn't tolerate the other party's behavior and directly asked angrily.

"Stop dawdling, unless what?!"

The researcher was startled by this and quickly continued speaking.

"Unless the energy that the Mizukage mentioned is relatively gentle, and the sealing method is abandoned in the early stages of Zero-Tails' growth, and it is directly infused, then the Zero-Tails within the body will be flushed by a larger energy source, reducing the impact of negative emotions. It is even possible that what is ultimately born will no longer be a simple Zero-Tails."

At this moment, everyone looked at Qing with strange expressions.

"I never imagined that the rumors about the Three-Tails' gentle nature had become so deeply ingrained."

However, the researcher's suggestion, while seemingly feasible, is actually not a clear path forward.

This method of sealing a portion of chakra within another person is different from the consumption of chakra in daily battles.

For the Three-Tails, it's like cutting off its own flesh.

Although it is still unclear how much flesh would be removed from a three-tailed creature if it were raised to its limit with zero tails.

However, after Minato Namikaze sealed half of the Nine-Tails, although the Nine-Tails still possessed infinite chakra, its actual size was several sizes smaller.

Having only recently formed a bond with Ao, the Three-Tails is clearly unlikely to agree to such a self-sacrificing act for Zabuza's sake.

Tachibana Kanagawa's strength gives him a chance to force the Three-Tails to agree.

But if that happens, Ao will probably never be able to gain the Three-Tails' true approval again.

However...

"I have more than one Three-Tails!"

With that in mind, Jianchuan Ju didn't intend to delay any longer. According to the researcher's explanation, the longer this was delayed, the more negative emotions would take over.

Moreover, even though he boosted Zabuza's combat power, in the end he was still a subordinate who obeyed the orders of Tachibana Kenkawa.

Jianchuan Ju is currently worried that while the quality of high-end combat forces in Wuyin Village is sufficient, their quantity is scarce.

So he simply turned around and waved to the crowd.

"Teacher Qing, you can go out first. I have something I want to talk to Zabuza about. If it's nothing serious, I should be able to solve Zabuza's problem."

The group was completely baffled by what they heard.

However, thanks to the confidence they gained from Jianchuan Ju's consistently reliable nature, no one continued to waste words and obediently turned around and left the consultation room.

Only Tachibana Kanagawa and Zabuza, who was lying in a hospital bed, remained.

Tachibana looked at Zabuza, who was still sitting there, seemingly not quite reacting.

He flashed his signature mischievous grin, a look he hadn't seen in a long time.

"How about it? Interested in becoming my first test subject for the energy battery project?"
