Mizukage's Pokémon Ninja Scroll

Chapter 512 Doubts

Although there's an old saying, "You can't hit someone who's smiling."

However, Orochimaru's face disgusted Tachibana with his smile, so he immediately ordered Mei Terumi and Zabuza to go up and test his strength.

The two had reached the point of superstition regarding the strength of their old teammate, Tachibana Kenkawa. With such a powerful backer, they were completely unafraid of Orochimaru, who had once put immense pressure on them.

Zabuza took the lead and rushed out at high speed.

Fortunately, he was aware that he was still somewhat weaker than Orochimaru, the renowned Sannin.

As Zabuza charged forward, he decisively entered the "State Two" mode of the Tailed Beast Cloak in an instant.

A massive amount of purplish-black chakra rapidly surged and solidified, instantly staining Zabuza's exposed single eye with a purplish-black hue, and his expression beneath the bandage became fierce and ferocious.

"Roar~"

A wild roar.

Zabuza instantly unleashed more than a dozen chakra tentacles that seemed to be real, rapidly striking towards Orochimaru.

Mei Terumi, standing to the side, was slightly startled by her teammate's decisive outburst, but she herself was equally unwavering.

His hands flew into hand seals, preparing to unleash a ninjutsu, prioritizing the elimination of the 'red-haired sidekick' beside Orochimaru.

Well, it's no wonder that Mei Terumi misunderstood.

She herself is not very old, and her knowledge and understanding of the ninja world are incomparable to those veteran Jonin.

Coincidentally, Scorpion is also very young.

Although he is also known by the nickname "Sasori of the Red Sand," this reputation is mostly circulated within Sunagakure, reflecting admiration for this genius puppeteer, rather than his numerous actual combat achievements.

His most remarkable achievement was killing the Third Kazekage, known as the "Strongest Kazekage," during his defection, an act that was also carried out in secret.

Only a few people within Sunagakure had any doubts, and outsiders had no way of knowing about it, so it was normal that it was not well-known.

Therefore, even though Sasori was wearing the same black robe with purple eyes as Orochimaru, he was still not regarded by Mei Terumi as a master of the same level as Orochimaru.

However, what's even more surprising is...

"This guy, Scorpion... seems a bit weak, doesn't he?"

That's right.

Let's set aside for now the battle between Zabuza and Orochimaru, where the berserk tentacles clash with the sinister little snake.

The battle between Mei Terumi and Sasori was actually not unexpected for Mei Terumi.

At this moment, Sasori's strength was clearly far inferior to Orochimaru's.

However, this situation was completely unexpected by Tachibana Kenkawa.

"What is this? The Crimson Secret Technique: Ten Machine Maneuvers?"

As Kanagawa Tachibana watched the ten red-robed puppets that followed Sasori's nimble fingers and relentlessly attacked Terumi Mei, a big question mark popped into her head.

At this point, Sasori of the Red Sand had not yet developed his "Regeneration Core" technique to completely transform himself into a human puppet.

Then, by relying on the 'Regeneration Core' to break through the limits of a puppeteer, he could break the limitation that a puppeteer's ten fingers can only control a maximum of ten puppets. Jianchuan Judou could still understand this.

However, even when Sasori had just left Sunagakure, he should have had the strength of a Kage.

Otherwise, even if it were a sneak attack, it would be difficult to kill the Third Kazekage, a Magnet Release ninja who was very effective against puppeteers.

Moreover, how could a genius ninja like Sasori not have improved at all after several years?

Their true strength should have already firmly established them at the Shadow level.

However, the current situation is different.

Although Sasori's ten red-robed puppets worked together seamlessly, they were indeed suppressing Mei Terumi, who was fighting against them, on the field.

However, Mei Terumi herself managed to stabilize the situation by relying on her two highly corrosive bloodline limit ninjutsu, "Boiling Release" and "Lava Release".

It can even occasionally cause some damage to the puppets released by the scorpion.

"These puppets seem a bit crudely made."

The more Jianchuan Ju looked at it, the more she felt that something was wrong.

Jianchuan Ju herself didn't have much in-depth knowledge of puppetry.

However, judging from their actual combat performance, these puppets have already revealed many problems.

Not only are their attack methods limited, basically consisting of slashing with a knife and chopping with an axe, but occasionally they might unleash one or two common attacks such as releasing iron chains and flying needles.

Even the materials used to create the puppets were extremely rudimentary, often only getting grazed by the edges of Mei Terumi's ninjutsu before they were missing limbs.

Judging solely from their appearance, Tachibana Kanagawa even felt that the "glamour" of these puppets was not as good as that of the Sand Village kid who appeared during the Chunin Exams.

The reason why Sasori has been able to suppress Mei Terumi for so long is entirely due to his superb puppet control skills.

"What happened? Did you leave in such a rush that you forgot all the good stuff at home?"

Looking at the situation on the field, Jianchuan Ju suddenly had a flash of inspiration, and then his expression changed slightly.

He then stopped letting Mei Terumi continue practicing and called out directly.

"Ming! Step back!"

With a shout from Tachibana Kenkawa, Mei Terumi, who was still somewhat confused, obediently exhaled another burst of acidic mist and retreated swiftly.

Meanwhile, Orochimaru, who was still engaged in a half-hearted battle with the berserk Zabuza, also immediately noticed the scene here.

A rather eerie smile appeared on his face.

"You found out so quickly?"

Mei Terumi retreated swiftly, but Sasori, who had the upper hand, seemed unwilling to give up.

The ten red-robed puppets quickly bypassed the area covered by the "Skillful Mist Technique" and continued their pursuit of Mei Terumi.

However, since Tachibana Kenkawa had already ordered Mei Terumi to retreat, he had naturally made preparations for the follow-up.

Suddenly, he exerted force with his feet, and a large snowflake exploded behind him, creating a white wave of snow.

At the same time, his figure moved with lightning speed, suddenly turning into a blur and disappearing from the spot.

The rapidly moving figure of Jianchuan Ju actually dragged out ring-shaped sonic booms.

Despite moving at such speed, the figure in the air remained remarkably agile.

Followed by.

"Bang bang bang bang~"

The continuous explosions blended together.

In the blink of an eye, the ten puppets that had been so menacing just moments before exploded into scattered wood chips and fragments almost simultaneously.

Then, to everyone's astonishment, except for Zabuza,

Jianchuan Ju's figure suddenly went from moving to still, and she stood firmly in place.

The previously choppy, slideshow-like display has finally returned to normal.

The distorted visual afterimages that were pulled out gradually faded and disappeared.

The snow that should have been carried away by the rapid airflow seemed to have just realized what was happening, and quickly burst into the air, turning into a sky full of snowflakes that surged and churned with the cold wind.

Slowly retracting his fist, Tachibana Kanagawa's gaze turned cold as he strode towards Sasori Akasuna, who had lost all his puppets.
