Mizukage's Pokémon Ninja Scroll

Chapter 536 The Night of the Nine-Tailed Fox (Part 9), Third Update!

Let's go back a little bit in time.

When Tachibana Kenkawa had just set off from the Land of Hot Springs towards Konoha.

Minato Namikaze, relying on his pre-prepared "Reverse Summoning Technique," returned to Konoha ahead of time.

Upon arriving in Konoha, Minato Namikaze was greeted by a village in ruins.

Everywhere there were burning flames and ruins.

The panicked people scattered and fled in terror.

One by one, the Konoha ninjas charged fearlessly toward the Nine-Tails that was raging in the distance.

Meanwhile, two equally enormous toads were struggling to hold back the Nine-Tails along with the other ninjas.

At this moment, Minato Namikaze's eyes were bloodshot, and boundless rage surged violently in his chest.

However, the little toad at Minato Namikaze's feet, which had helped him summon the spirit in reverse, was relatively calm and spoke to him quickly.

"Lord Minato, Boss Bunta and Brother Ken are currently holding back the Nine-Tails with Lord Hiruzen."

"Lord Jiraiya is here."

The little toad had only just finished speaking.

A figure hurtled toward the spot where Minato Namikaze was standing, like a cannonball.

With a loud "boom".

The already dilapidated stone wall in front of Minato Namikaze collapsed with a deafening roar.

Smoke and dust rose, and stones flew everywhere.

Amidst the rubble and bricks, a burly, white-haired figure struggled to his feet, supporting himself on the ground.

"Jiraiya-sensei!!"

Minato Namikaze's exclamation caused Jiraiya, who was about to charge forward again, to pause slightly.

Upon seeing Minato Namikaze return in time, Jiraiya's eyes first flashed with a hint of surprise, which immediately turned into deep self-reproach.

"Ahem~ Minato, Kushina, she..."

Before the two could exchange more words, a figure slowly emerged from the shadows, following the path created by Jiraiya's blast.

"Fourth Hokage, Minato Namikaze, you actually managed to make it back from the Land of Hot Springs!"

Hearing that somewhat deep and gloomy voice, Minato Namikaze and Jiraiya both turned to look at it at the same time.

"Minato, this is the man in front of you who kidnapped Kushina and released the Nine-Tails!"

Upon hearing this, Minato Namikaze's eyes immediately widened in fury.

Releasing the Nine-Tails means Kushina's death.

Furthermore, shortly after returning to Konoha, Minato Namikaze attempted to teleport to Kushina's side using the Flying Thunder God Technique, but failed.

This means that Kushina's body may very well have fallen into the hands of the person in front of them.

Although Minato Namikaze wanted to kill this person immediately.

However, Jiraiya's voice continued to whisper in his ear.

"This person possesses spatial abilities; their body can become ethereal and immune to attacks, and they can absorb and release objects, but they cannot maintain ethereality when absorbing and releasing them."

"In addition, it also has a repulsive and gravitational field capability, which can bounce or pull objects, with an interval of about 4 to 8 seconds."

Jiraiya was still quietly revealing to Minato Namikaze the information he had gathered during his previous battle with Obito Uchiha.

However, although their voices were low, their actions were noticed by Obito Uchiha, who naturally wouldn't let the two of them talk so quietly.

So he stopped lamenting his meeting with Minato Namikaze and decisively launched an attack.

His hands moved swiftly, forming hand seals.

At the same time, distorted spatial fluctuations began to rotate rapidly, centered on the right eye.

A raging gust of wind spiraled out from Obito Uchiha's right eye.

"Fire Release: Explosive Wind Dance!"

A terrifying firestorm erupted instantly.

The flames, propelled by the swirling airflow, spread rapidly like a giant rotating fire disc, instantly engulfing everything in sight.

Feeling the surging heat wave rushing towards him, Minato Namikaze's gaze narrowed slightly, and he immediately threw several Flying Thunder God kunai to the side.

At the same time, he quickly grabbed Jiraiya's arm with his right hand.

"Whoosh~"

Flying Thunder God activated.

Just before the flames were about to engulf them, the two vanished from their spot.

The little toad that had been lying next to the two sensed something was wrong and quickly dispelled the summoning spell, turning into a wisp of smoke and disappearing.

Jiraiya, who was already extremely familiar with his disciple's abilities, showed no panic after being taken away from the spot by Minato Namikaze. He said to Minato beside him.

"Minato, hold him off for a while. I need to prepare that move!"

"Okay! Leave it to me!"

Minato Namikaze glanced at his teacher, then without a word, charged resolutely toward Obito Uchiha.

The "that move" that Jiraiya mentioned was naturally Sage Mode.

Jiraiya had previously come up empty-handed outside the village, and then discovered that the Nine-Tails had appeared and was wreaking havoc in the village. So he returned to the village to prepare to accumulate natural energy to enter Sage Mode.

However, he was interrupted by the sudden appearance of Obito Uchiha.

After a series of battles, they had no chance to regenerate their natural energy.

Several Konoha ninjas who were on their way to support Kurama discovered the battle he was fighting and wanted to help him.

However, even ordinary Jonin have no ability to intervene in battles of this level.

Those Konoha ninjas were all easily killed by Obito Uchiha.

Even Jiraiya himself, if not for his rich combat experience and constant maneuvering, would have almost perished at his hands.

However, it was precisely because of the difficult battle with the enemy in front of him that Jiraiya realized that the person opposite him could not possibly be the legendary Uchiha Madara.

Even if the opponent is indeed powerful, the real Uchiha Madara is an excellent ninja who fought his way up from the Warring States period. It is impossible for him to be inferior to his junior in terms of combat experience.

Now that Minato Namikaze has returned, Jiraiya believes that with the information he just provided, even if his disciple cannot defeat the person in front of him, he should at least be able to hold him off.

As long as Minato Namikaze persists until he enters Sage Mode.

With the two working together, Jiraiya was confident that they could completely eliminate this imposter Uchiha Madara and keep him in Konoha today.

"The villagers should have been mostly evacuated by now, as long as the old man can hold on!"

Jiraiya, who was gathering natural energy by clasping his hands together, looked with some worry in the direction where the Nine-Tails was rampaging.

He knew very well that it was absolutely impossible to restrain the Nine-Tails with only the two toads he had summoned earlier, Gamabunta and Gamaken.

Ordinary ninjas facing the Nine-Tails can only desperately try to delay it with their lives.

On that battlefield, the only one he could rely on was his one-armed mentor, and the situation could collapse at any moment.

"But if we don't deal with this guy in front of us, and he merges with the Nine-Tails, the threat will increase many times over!"

As Jiraiya gathered natural energy and analyzed the situation...

The enemy who was just entangled with Minato Namikaze suddenly retreated again, disappearing in a spiral.

Jiraiya's mind immediately went into high alert.

Sure enough, the next moment.

The man's deep, gloomy voice came from behind him.

"Are you preparing some dangerous move?"
