Chapter 539 The Night of the Nine-Tailed Fox (End) Third update!

Obito Uchiha looked over.

In the distance, the Nine-Tails, which had been wreaking havoc, suddenly began to shrink rapidly.

The most important goal of this trip is to capture the Nine-Tails, so Obito has no mind to continue accumulating power to unleash the "Super Shinra Tensei".

He immediately used Shinra Tensei again on a smaller scale, deflecting Minato Namikaze who was entangled with him, and flew rapidly towards the direction where Kurama was.

Because they were in the air this time, Obito Uchiha's Shinra Tensei did not cause much damage to Minato Namikaze.

After landing safely, he immediately activated the Flying Thunder God Technique and appeared beside Jiraiya.

The two sages on Jiraiya's shoulders also stopped their "Clam Song".

Both frogs and one human, including Jiraiya, looked rather grim at that moment.

In that situation just now, the illusion spell of "Clam Song" was almost successfully cast.

However, the Nine-Tails' enormous size changed, which was also noticed by those on the ground.

After exchanging a glance with Minato Namikaze, the two of them rushed towards the direction where Kurama was without hesitation.

Meanwhile, on the Nine-Tails' side...

Having just used the "Demon Sealing Technique," Hiruzen Sarutobi looked at the Nine-Tails, whose size had stopped shrinking, with a hint of relief in his eyes, his vision somewhat blurred.

Was only half of it sealed?

The technique "Reaper Death Seal" was a move that Hiruzen Sarutobi specifically sought out and learned from the Book of Seals after his previous defeat against Tachibana Kenkawa.

Although his capture was forgotten in Konoha after his subsequent resignation, no one there mentions it anymore.

However, for Hiruzen Sarutobi, it remains an indelible stain on his ninja career.

Originally, he planned that if Kirigakure became too powerful and fought Konoha again, he, as the former Hokage, would practice the Will of Fire and use this technique to perish together with his opponent.

Unexpectedly, by a twist of fate, it was ultimately used on the Nine-Tails of their own village.

But this is for the best, at least the village won't lose its jinchūriki.

Thinking of this, Hiruzen Sarutobi, who was already nearing the end of his life, forced himself to speak with difficulty.

"Sealing Team, retrieve the Nine-Tails!!"

Although at this moment Hiruzen Sarutobi's voice was barely a whisper.

However, with many ninjas still fighting on the scene, his orders were still relayed immediately.

Bunta and Ken, two giant, battered clams, took advantage of the brief respite after the Nine-Tailed Fox shrank in size to work together...

They suppressed the Nine-Tails' movements.

Several Konoha sealing squad ninjas immediately grabbed scrolls and containers and rushed toward the Nine-Tails, which was still struggling on the ground.

Just as Hiruzen Sarutobi slowly collapsed with a look of relief in his eyes, a black figure rushed straight to the Nine-Tails like lightning.

"Shinra Tensei!"

"boom--"

A terrifying force field spread out instantly.

Bunta and Ken, who had just suppressed the Nine-Tails, were immediately thrown away.

The massive structure collapsed with a deafening roar, crushing large areas of houses and trees.

The sealing squad ninjas who were rapidly approaching the Nine-Tails fared even worse, instantly exploding into clouds of blood mist, leaving no trace of their bodies.

"Roar!" The Nine-Tailed Fox, freed from control, roared to the sky once more.

This time, Obito Uchiha, dressed in a black robe with purple pupils, stood steadily atop the Nine-Tails' head.

After catching his breath, Obito Uchiha glared angrily at the fallen Hiruzen Sarutobi.

However, after noticing Minato Namikaze and Jiraiya rapidly approaching from the other side, as well as a large number of Konoha ninjas surrounding them, Obito Uchiha finally regained his senses.

He mobilized his chakra once more to unleash a large-scale Kamui, and spatial ripples slowly appeared around his body.

"Sword Shadow Clone Technique!"

"Sage Art: Goemon!"

The sky was filled with sword shadows that transformed into streaks of light, while the ground was covered with scorching hot oil mixed with flames.

Minato Namikaze and Jiraiya, who had just arrived from afar, joined forces to launch an overwhelming attack in an attempt to stop Obito Uchiha's actions.

However, facing the terrifying offensive, Obito Uchiha neither dodged nor flinched, but simply stared intently at the Konoha ninja present, coldly uttering a single sentence.

"This is just the beginning!"

Then, the nine tails behind Kurama quickly closed together, blocking Obito Uchiha's view.

The shuriken flying everywhere were stopped, and the scalding hot oil underfoot was ignored.

After the sword shadows in his hand completely dissipated, Kamui's spatial fluctuations finally enveloped the shrunken Nine-Tails, causing it to disappear completely from the sight of all the Konoha ninjas.

Seeing the enemy retreat so easily right in front of him, Jiraiya angrily stopped the ninjutsu he was casting and stomped the ground hard.

Minato Namikaze stared at the spot where Obito Uchiha and the Nine-Tails had last disappeared, along with the surrounding ruins and countless Konoha ninja corpses, his eyes growing increasingly empty and lifeless.

At this moment, a somewhat weak voice interrupted their thoughts.

"Ahem, Minato... Jiraiya..."

The two looked over at the sound and saw Hiruzen Sarutobi lying in the arms of a bearded ANBU member, struggling to reach out to them.

"Sandaime-sama!"

"Old man..."

The two approached quickly, but knowing his death was imminent, Hiruzen Sarutobi didn't waste any words.

Trembling, he grabbed Minato Namikaze's arm and said with difficulty.

"Minato! I... have... half of the Nine-Tails inside me! Go find the Namendo outside the village, the information is... at Sarutobi's residence... Konoha can't... lose its Jinchūriki..."

Leaflets...: Where they flutter...

Hiruzen Sarutobi's voice grew fainter and fainter. After managing to finish his last message, he slowly loosened his grip on Minato Namikaze's hand and died in his son's arms with a sense of relief.

The bearded ANBU member, cradling Hiruzen Sarutobi's body, gently stroked his cheek and laid him down.

Suppressing her grief, she continued softly, repeating her father's words.

"My father spent his life researching the Uzumaki clan's Reaper Death Seal. I will compile the data and hand it over to the Hokage later."

Looking at the lifeless Hiruzen Sarutobi in front of him, Jiraiya felt a mix of emotions, while Minato Namikaze's eyes grew increasingly empty and lifeless.

The surrounding area consisted of dilapidated building ruins and countless houses.

Burning flames, crying villagers, and wounded ninjas collapsing to the ground in anguish.

Amidst the chaos, Hiruzen Sarutobi's body lay quietly in the center of the "fire" symbol that had fallen from the collapsed Hokage Building.

Looking around, he saw Konoha ninjas with injuries ranging from minor to severe, but all of them had blank stares and seemed at a loss.

Minato Namikaze felt the cacophony around him growing increasingly indistinct, as if it were coming from a distant place.

It will vanish into nothingness.

A loud baby's cry pierced through everything and reached his ears.
