Mizukage's Pokémon Ninja Scroll

Chapter 549 What are you looking at? Let's fight one-on-one!

The giant chakra shark charged swiftly toward Zabuza.

Wherever it passed, the surging water carved a deep trench into the ground.

Rocks, trees, and everything in its path were swept up and instantly pulverized.

Without even thinking, Tachibana knew that Zabuza would be unable to withstand such a powerful attack in such a short time.

Even with the regenerative abilities granted by a Jinchūriki, he would inevitably suffer severe injuries and ultimately have to heal himself.

He simply pushed off with his feet and instantly appeared in front of Zabuza.

A pure white flame rapidly rose from his right hand, and then he threw a punch.

The gushing flames immediately blasted towards the oncoming giant chakra shark.

However, the moment the pure white flame touched the chakra shark's massive mouth, it froze its oral cavity and sharp teeth.

The icy ice crystals, radiating intense cold, were immediately swallowed and dissipated by the enormous shark.

Instead, the entire "Giant Shark Bullet" suddenly grew larger.

"Huh, after transforming into Sage Mode, it can even absorb and convert White Escape Technique?"

"How about this?"

A smile flashed across Jianchuan Ju's face.

Then.

"White Release: Ice Fist!"

With a loud "boom!"

The surging white flames expanded several times in an instant, completely engulfing the entire chakra shark in the blink of an eye.

Yes, nowadays, Tachibana Kanagawa's mastery of White Escape is already unparalleled.

That punch was merely a basic application of White Release chakra, not even qualifying as a ninjutsu.

Only then did he begin to use some of his true abilities.

And indeed it was.

This time, the "Great Shark Bullet Technique," which possesses the ability to absorb chakra and strengthen itself, didn't even struggle before being completely frozen by the White Path Flame in an instant.

It transformed into a gigantic ice crystal shark and weakly crashed into Kanakawa Tachibana, who was standing still.

A crisp "crack" sounded.

With his right hand, which gleamed with a metallic sheen, the five fingers of Jianchuan Ju embedded themselves in the ice, easily holding the tip of the ice crystal shark's nose and placing it steadily on the ground before waving his hand to dissipate the pure white flames in his palm.

"Lord Mizukage!"

Kisame Hoshigaki instantly teleported to Tachibana Mizukawa's side.

Shark, who had been somewhat distracted by the boost from Sage Mode, now looked full of remorse.

However, Tachibana Kanagawa waved his hand dismissively.

"It's nothing, this move is quite powerful."

Tachibana Kanagawa has sparred with Kisame Hoshigaki quite a few times, and this is not the first time she has seen the "Great Shark Bullet Technique".

The original "Water Release: Great Shark Bullet Technique" did not have the power to absorb White Release chakra.

Not to mention White Release, even the next level Ice Release would completely counter this move.

Of course, the Ice Release mentioned here refers to the Ice Release attacks of characters like Tachibana Kanagawa, which primarily use freezing air.

The Ice Release Kekkei Genkai of the Yuki clan focuses more on creating ice blocks, and its effectiveness against Water Release techniques is not as obvious.

In this light, the current "Immortal Technique: Great Shark Bullet Technique" has been upgraded by two levels and is now capable of fighting against most Kage-level masters.

Zabuza glanced at Kisame Hoshigaki, who immediately ran to apologize to Tachibana Kenkawa as soon as he arrived, and turned his head away with a smirk.

"What? Wasn't this move aimed at me? Why did I go and hang out with Tachibana? What's the point of apologizing?"

"What are you looking at! We'll fight one-on-one later!"

When Zabuza saw Kisame Hoshigaki looking at him, his exposed single eye glared like a copper bell.

Well, it's mainly Kisame Hoshigaki's shark face that looks like he's deliberately picking on someone.

However, Kisame probably felt that the "misfire" of his ninjutsu was indeed a bit unfair to Zabuza, and after hearing his words, he agreed to Zabuza's "request" without much thought.

"good!"

"Since Zabuza-san wants to fight me, let's consider it compensation for him." Kisame Hoshigaki nodded solemnly.

"Huh?"

Zabuza, who had only spoken carelessly, turned his head and looked at the training ground forest that had just been flattened by the "40-meter hammer," and was immediately dumbfounded.

This scene made Mei Terumi cover her mouth and chuckle again.

Ignoring her two increasingly "outrageous" old teammates, Tachibana Kanagawa turned to look at Kisame Hoshigaki, whose mask had dissipated and whose chair corner had shrunk back, clearly indicating that he had exited Sage Mode.

"But Kisame, isn't the duration of your Sage Mode a bit too short?"

From the moment Kisame Hoshigaki entered Sage Mode, including his speech and tests, the entire process probably took less than two minutes.

In actual combat, this duration is equivalent to just a few rounds of fighting.

If one's strength can overwhelm others after activating Sage Mode, that's fine.

If the enemy is of similar strength, or even only slightly weaker than Kisame Hoshigaki in Sage Mode, you only need to delay for a little while to avoid Kisame's burst phase.

If we also consider that entering Sage Mode requires a long period of accumulating natural energy, the actual effectiveness of this move will definitely be greatly reduced.

Kisame Hoshigaki nodded helplessly upon hearing this.

"If it's just amplifying taijutsu, the duration can be extended a little, but once a powerful sage technique is used, the converted sage chakra will be quickly exhausted."

"Furthermore, to unleash powerful Sage Techniques, one can only rely on Sage Chakra; any excess ordinary chakra within the body cannot participate at all."

Tachibana Kanakawa nodded in understanding.

Just now, Kisame Hoshigaki used "Hiramekarei Release" and "Sage Art: Great Shark Bullet Technique." Although the scale of these attacks was enormous, it actually had little to do with his own massive chakra reserves.

Sage Mode chakra is all about the balance between natural energy and chakra, so it's impossible to mix chakra into it when releasing Sage Mode.

Despite Kisame Hoshigaki's calm demeanor and lack of breathlessness, his chakra reserves remain plentiful.

However, the Sage Chakra, which was converted from natural energy, was exhausted, so he naturally exited Sage Mode.

"Kisame, if you really need to use this move in the battle later, use Shadow Clone Technique to deal with it first, and I'll think about whether there are any other solutions."

Although Sage Mode is a technique used to enhance strength and fight against opponents of higher levels, Tachibana Kenkawa wasn't only going to teach it to Kisame. Spending a little time researching it wouldn't be a waste of energy.

Kisame Hoshigaki simply nodded upon hearing this.

However, he secretly decided that he would study the Sage Mode technique carefully from now on.

Although my talent in developing ninjutsu isn't particularly outstanding, I still want to do my part to help the Mizukage.

Save some time.

Just as Tachibana was about to continue discussing the test with Kisame Hoshigaki, and also give some pointers to those two idiots, Zabuza and Mei Terumi.

An ANBU ninja rushed to the training ground and respectfully bowed to Tachibana Kanagawa.

"Lord Mizukage, another letter has arrived from Konoha urging you to return and discuss the matter."

Upon hearing this, Jianchuan Ju shook her head helplessly.

"Minato, he hasn't given up yet?"
