Mizukage's Pokémon Ninja Scroll

Chapter 570 An Enemy of One Strength

"Immortal Technique*Water Release*Big Explosive Water Wave!"

A massive amount of water was instantly spat out from Kisame Hoshigaki's mouth, transforming into a raging torrent.

The shuriken and ninjutsu shooting in from all directions were immediately intercepted by the ever-expanding water flow.

However, that's not all.

The surging water enveloping Kisame Hoshigaki continued to expand, transforming into an enormous semi-circular water sphere centered on him.

The ninjas from various villages who were besieging Kisame were instantly pushed away by the ever-expanding edge of the water sphere.

A few ninjas with decent strength either used techniques to defend themselves or decisively broke through the water sphere and merged into it.

Those unlucky souls who were too weak or didn't react in time were directly squeezed and slammed against the ice wall at the edge of the arena by the waves.

Yes, at this moment, the huge hemispherical water sphere has expanded to the point of completely covering the entire training field.

While watching the battle from the ice wall, Tachibana Kanakawa secretly controlled the ice wall to completely freeze and seal off the only opening at the edge of the arena.

Seeing that most of the troops around them had been wiped out in an instant, the Jonin leading the teams floating in the water sphere all had extremely ugly expressions.

At this moment, the semi-circular water sphere resembled an enormous water prison, swallowing up all enemies who wanted to fight against it.

The Kisame, having just finished cleaning up the smaller fish, won't be kind enough to wait for them to adapt to the aquatic environment.

He quickly formed hand seals again.

"Water Release* Senshi Sameray!"

"Stop him!!"

Urayasu Jin, who was the first to notice that Kisame Hoshigaki was about to form hand seals to release a ninjutsu, immediately spoke up to warn the other ninjas.

However, having always lived in the desert environment of the Land of Wind, how could he adapt to fighting in the water so quickly?

The moment he opened his mouth, the surrounding water immediately poured into it.

He choked and coughed painfully, forced to watch helplessly as the newly formed sharks charged toward him.

Until it was snatched by a shark and carried away through the air, it was unable to mount any effective counterattack.

He was not alone in having a similar experience as many other ninja from the four villages.

In the blink of an eye, the giant water sphere was completely emptied.

Of course, it's not to say that everyone was powerless against Kisame's attack.

On the Konoha side, a gaunt old man wearing sunglasses, even smaller and stranger than the previous Maruboshi Kosuke, quickly regained his balance the moment he entered the water sphere.

Then, the old man swung one leg in the water, his whole body spinning rapidly like a top being pulled.

"Konoha - Dragon God!"

The moment the old man's foot landed, the surging water was instantly stirred up, as if pulled by an invisible force, and began to spin rapidly.

In the blink of an eye, it had condensed into a towering tornado of water.

The raging waterspouts around them actually tore a large hole in the thick, giant water sphere.

To be able to create such power solely through taijutsu, this old man is clearly one of the top ninjas present.

Unfortunately, the Sage Art released by Kisame Hoshigaki after activating Sage Mode could not be so easily broken.

Despite the waterspout continuously drawing water out and blasting it into the sky, the overall size of the water sphere remained unchanged.

Kisame Hoshigaki's true form resembled a swimming fish, defying the turbulent waters and instantly rushing towards the gaunt old man.

"Flounder*Liberation!"

The massive chakra energy hammer was unleashed in a simple and unadorned manner.

The gaunt old man only had time to raise his arms to protect himself before he was blasted away by the blow and disappeared from everyone's sight.

These steps may sound complicated, but in reality, they happen in the blink of an eye.

Once the sharks in the currents had each flown out of the arena with their own "food," only a handful of people remained in the water sphere, still confronting Kisame Hoshigaki.

With the situation having developed to this point, Troy, the only remaining Jonin (high-ranking ninja) leading the Cloud Village, had a bitter expression on his face.

His specialty, Magnet Release, was originally intended to be a technique perfectly suited for one-on-one combat, as long as the enemy was marked by his Magnet Release during the battle.

What awaits the opponent next is an endless barrage of ninja tools with tracking capabilities.

This is why he was chosen by the Hidden Cloud Village as the Jonin to lead the team this time.

However, the current environment is not suitable for the release of ninja tools at all.

Left with no other choice, Troy disregarded the possibility of accidentally injuring his teammates and decisively began forming hand seals to unleash his ninjutsu.

"Lightning Release: Scattered Strike - Murakumo!"

Dazzling arcs of lightning danced across Troy's hands before rapidly spreading outwards.

With the help of the water flow, endless lightning spread throughout the entire water sphere in the blink of an eye.

I finally swam to the underwater land.

Huang Tu, who was preparing to form hand seals to release a large-scale earth-escape technique, was struck by electric arcs throughout his body before he could even utter a word.

After a series of bubbles gurgled out of its mouth, it rolled its eyes back and lay down on its back.

When Onoki on stage saw this, his face turned as black as the bottom of a pot.

What upset him even more was...

Troy's wide-range lightning release was combined with Kisame Hoshigaki's "Great Exploding Water Wave" to create a "combination ninjutsu".

It seemed incredibly powerful, taking down several Jonin in succession.

However, when the blow landed on Kisame Hoshigaki, it only caused his exposed skin to become slightly charred.

Even after Kisame Hoshigaki's body developed a dark metallic sheen, this Lightning Release technique seemed to have become nothing more than an atmosphere-building element.

On the other hand, Kisame Hoshigaki pointed the flounder in his hand slightly behind him, and then suddenly unleashed a jet of azure blue flame.

Like a torpedo, it instantly shattered the lightning in front of it and rushed straight toward Troy, who was floating in the water.

Its speed was so fast that it gave him no chance to dodge.

Just when everyone thought that this was a battle for the command of the peacekeeping force.

The event was drawing to a close, thanks to the strong performance of Kirigakure.

On the high platform, Hokage Minato Namikaze's gaze remained calm as he stared intently at the figure in the corner of the giant water sphere.

"Clan Chief Fugaku, what are you waiting for?!"

"What does this mean? Konoha actually has a backup plan?"

The other figures, whose faces were grim, all turned their gazes toward Minato Namikaze.

It was only then that everyone realized that, due to the previous performance of the two old men from Konoha, they had all overlooked the true Jonin leading the team this time.

The Uchiha clan leader, known for his "fierce eyes," seemed to have no remarkable achievements from beginning to end.

Even Tachibana Kanagawa, who was gloating over who saved more people between Mei Terumi and Zabuza, looked at Minato Namikaze with a hint of doubt.

"What does that mean? Why is Minato Namikaze still hoping Fugaku will intervene at this time?"

However, the answer was given in the arena the next moment.
