Chapter 19: The Orange Girl Who Ended Her Nightmare.
The blow was powerful and heavy, knocking Ah Long's feet off the ground. His internal organs churned, and blood spilled from the corner of his mouth. Just as his tall body was about to be carried away by the force, a dense dark element suddenly expanded from Bane's fist, like a magnet, firmly holding Ah Long's body in place.
"Are you an ability user?!" Ah Long, ignoring his current pain, asked with a look of surprise in his eyes.
However, Bane had no intention of explaining or wasting words with him. With a burst of power, surging dark elements instantly enveloped Arlong, binding him like a cocoon and lifting him into the air.
After subduing Alon, a ruthless glint appeared in Bane's eyes. He took two steps back, creating some distance between himself and Alon, who was floating in the air. At the same time, he sheathed his sword. Between the fingers of his other hand, dark power seemed to flow like smoke, which was extremely eerie.
Before Ah Long could speak again, Bane suddenly clenched his hand into a fist and shouted, "Black Annihilation - Coffin of Darkness."
The dark elements that had enveloped Arlong suddenly collapsed and tightened inward as Bane clenched his fist. This powerful compression instantly destroyed Arlong's body. Unfortunately, only his head was exposed, so like squeezing toothpaste, a large amount of blood gushed from his mouth, landing right between Bane and him.
As the darkness dissipated, Ah Long fell to the ground, his body twisted and contorted in a bizarre way, like a squashed sponge that hadn't yet recovered.
This also means that most of his bones are broken, and he has lost all ability to resist.
"How ugly," Bane muttered, stepping on Aaron's head.
This battle was almost a swift victory; the two sides were decided the moment they clashed, so much so that Zoro's battle wasn't even over yet.
After seeing their leader defeated, several burly fishmen immediately rushed towards Bane to rescue Arlong.
Seeing this, Zoro showed no intention of giving chase. Instead, he calmly sheathed his two swords and said, "It's over."
"Aren't you going to help?" Nami asked, somewhat puzzled.
"No need," Zoro said, looking as if he had already foreseen the future.
Then, before Nami could speak again, Zoro opened his mouth and imitated, "Black Annihilation - Tide Surge."
As if he were the one with the power of the Dark-Dark Fruit, as soon as he finished speaking, endless darkness erupted from Bane's body, like a monstrous wave at sea, spreading outwards in all directions from him, almost instantly engulfing the entire Arlong Paradise.
At that moment, Nami felt everything go black before her eyes, and she could neither see nor hear anything. She was filled with panic, and just as she was about to make a move, the overwhelming darkness, like a receding tide, quickly dissipated and flowed back into Bane's body.
When Nami could see her surroundings clearly again, all the fishmen, the debris on the ground, the corpses Zoro had killed, and the blood on the ground had all disappeared!
Only Ah Long was still being trampled underfoot by Bane.
Zoro, standing to the side, calmly said, "I told you, it's over."
"What was that just now?!" Nami exclaimed in surprise as she realized what had happened.
For a moment, she thought she was going to die!
"It's Bane's ability. You've probably heard of Devil Fruits, right? He's a Logia-type user of the Dark-Dark Fruit, and he controls the power of darkness," Zoro casually explained.
Before Nami could ask any further questions, Bane, who was not far away, looked in their direction and said, "Navigator, do you want to take revenge yourself?"
Upon hearing this, Nami also looked at Arlong on the ground. Seeing Arlong's miserable appearance, a look of satisfaction flashed in her eyes. Then she took a few steps forward and walked to Bane's side.
"Give me the knife!" Nami said, reaching out her hand.
Bane simply handed the sword at his waist to Nami.
Nami swallowed hard as she drew her knife, then aimed the blade at Arlong's neck. Arlong was already completely unconscious. If she could just forcefully stab him in, she could end his sinful life. Of course, given his injuries, he would have died anyway if left untreated.
However, Nami had never personally ended anyone's life before, and even though she was facing her long-time enemy, her arms still couldn't help but tremble at this moment.
It's like trying to stab someone with a knife but failing.
Seemingly sensing her predicament, Bane sighed softly, walked slowly behind Nami, then bent down and wrapped his arms around her from behind, placing his hands on the back of Nami's hand holding the knife.
Without a word, Bane slowly exerted his strength, and with Nami by his side, plunged the knife into Arlong's neck. As blood flowed freely, the life of this wicked fishman came to an end.
Once the blade pierced Arlong's neck, Bane released Nami's grip.
Almost the instant he left Nami's side, Nami could no longer hold onto the knife. She knelt down beside Arlong's corpse and burst into tears, her desperate cries seeming to pierce the clouds.
"Bellmere Bellmere!" Nami cried as she called out a name, as if she wanted to vent all the grievances and hatred she had suffered over the past eight years.
She finally got her revenge. Her nightmare, the nightmare of Cocoyasi Village, is over.
Not a single mistake, not a single poem, not a single post, not a single piece of content, not a single look!
Bellemere can rest in peace now, and so can the villagers who have been killed by Alon and his gang over the years.
While Nami was crying loudly, a group of villagers, carrying various farm tools, led by a pretty little girl with short indigo hair, rushed into Arlong Paradise.
She is Nami's older sister, Nojiko.
"Nami, are you alright!?" The first thing Nojiko saw when she entered was Arlong's corpse, and Nami crying loudly beside it.
The villagers were all shocked as they watched this scene unfold. What was going on? Nami killed Arlong?
"Nojiko, Nojiko!" Nami cried out like a wronged child, reaching out her arms for a hug.
Nojiko quickly rushed forward and hugged Nami, patting her back and comforting her, "It's alright, it's alright, Nami."
"I...I've finally avenged Bellemere!" Nami cried.
Bane and Zoro were both leaning against the wall in the shade. Zoro took a sip of his sake from his waist and said, "So, you knew all along why?"
Bane, with a freshly lit cigar in his mouth, grinned and said, "I told you, don't pry into other people's business."
After saying that, he seemed to remember something, took out a Den Den Mushi from his pocket, and dialed Smoker.
A short while later, Zoro overheard Bane talking to Smoker about something like "Colonel Rat," and it sounded like they were reporting each other again.
However, Zoro didn't pay attention to Bane, but instead turned his gaze back to Nami and the villagers.
Watching the scene of people cheering, crying, and laughing loudly, Zoro felt a warm feeling inexplicably. It seemed that this kind of journey was quite interesting after all.
