Chapter 243 Garp: Bane, you bastard, you tricked me!?

Dragon quickly fled away. Whether intentionally or unintentionally, Garp watched as Dragon leaped off the edge of the Red Line. He cursed a few times but didn't jump after him, letting the guy go.

The members of the Revolutionary Army also quickly withdrew, disappearing from Mary Geoise from who knows where.

However, the chaos they caused had not yet subsided, and members of the CP organization and the navy began to put out fires and rescue the nobles and others who were affected.

"Young Master, are you alright?" Ain was the first to return to Bane's side. As soon as she saw Bane's appearance, she stepped forward with great concern and asked.

The main problem was that Bane was bandaging himself, which made Ain think he had suffered some serious injury.

Even when he was severely injured in a major battle with Kaido, Bane always waited for the medic to come and treat him. He had never been so anxious to bandage himself like this before. What does this mean? It means that the admiral's injuries have become so severe that he has to treat him quickly in order to stabilize his condition!

Therefore, Ian rushed over to Bane in a great hurry, but when she got closer, she was dumbfounded.

There was no injury at all, right?

He looks completely unharmed!

"Ain, you've really helped me a lot. Quick, help me wrap a bandage around my head." As Bane spoke, he inhumanely reached out and smeared some blood from Ain's bleeding arm onto his own head.

Ain? ???

Are you still a person?

My wound is almost infected, and instead of letting me treat it first, you want to bandage your perfectly healthy head?

"What are you doing?" Although Ian was a little confused, she still reached out and took the bandage, wrapping it around Bane's head.

"Such a big thing has happened, and we'll definitely have to hold someone accountable later. Although the defense of Mary Geoise isn't under our navy's jurisdiction, and theoretically we shouldn't be responsible for what happened here, we still have to put on a show. Everyone's had too much to drink, and in the end, it'll still be me, the admiral, who has to take the blame, right?" Bane muttered.

"So you're planning to play the victim?" Ain asked, slightly puzzled.

"No, I plan to pin all the blame on that old bastard Garp," Bane said matter-of-factly. "I bet it won't be long before the Commander-in-Chief summons me to question him. I'll say that I've already fought Dragon of the Revolutionary Army and gained the upper hand, and I was very likely to capture him right here. I just didn't expect that Garp would completely disregard my presence and unleash a Galactic Impact right from the start, stunning me completely. As a result, the operation to capture Dragon on the spot completely failed, and I was seriously injured as a result. How about that? Not bad, right?"

However, after Bane finished speaking, Ain did not reply. Instead, Karp, with a dark face, walked over from a distance and said, "What did you just say? Are you trying to pin all the blame on me?"

Bane didn't care at all that Karp had overheard his 'meticulous plan,' and immediately said, "What? Did I say something wrong? Why didn't you think about it when you hit me?"

"I acted rashly in a moment of panic," Garp seemed to be trying to justify himself.

Bane didn't give him a chance and said directly, "Yes, yes, in your desperation you punched one-sixth of Mary Geoise to pieces. What you said makes sense, but I don't know if the others agree."

"Tsk," Garp clicked his tongue in displeasure. "I was being lenient. If it weren't for Mary Geoise, Dragon would never have been able to escape."

"That's the same excuse you're using back in the East China Sea. I remember you fought with Dragon back then, and you didn't manage to take him down either," Bane mocked.

"Which side are you on, kid?" Karp glared at Bane, somewhat annoyed.

"Never mind which side I'm on, you're taking the blame." Bane didn't respond at all.

Sure enough, just as Bane had wrapped himself up to look like a seriously wounded soldier, a naval captain ran over and said, "Admiral, Commander-in-Chief Steelbone requests your presence at headquarters."

"I knew it." Bane waved his hand and looked at Karp, saying, "Do you want to come with me?"

Garp hesitated for a moment, then suddenly seemed to have thought of a great idea and excitedly said, "I'll take the blame, but just say that I also jumped off the Red Line with Dragon and am now missing!"

After saying that, the guy took off running. Before Bane could react, he leaped down, imitating Dragon, and jumped directly off the edge of the Red Line.

Bane?

Suddenly snapping out of his daze, Bane punched his thigh and cursed, "Damn, is that even possible? I should have jumped in too! Quick, Ain, write this down! Remember Vice Admiral Garp's wise advice, so we can learn from it later! Indeed, one is never too old to learn; the ancients were right!"

They could just chase after Dragon and leave Mary Geoise, and then they wouldn't even have to attend that World Conference afterwards. How awesome would that be?

He was still too young and inexperienced, letting the old fox Garp seize the opportunity first. Now it would be somewhat inappropriate for him to jump in after him.

"Damn it, no wonder he's known as the Navy's notorious tough guy, he even managed to find a way out of this." Bane cursed as he stood up, gave Ain a few more instructions, and then left with the Navy captain.

When Bane arrived at the World Government's headquarters in Mary Geoise and entered the office of the Commander-in-Chief, he found that many naval officers were already waiting there.

Vice Admirals such as Zoro, Fubuki, Doberman, Onigumo, Momonga, Kasuganoyama, and Stromberg all stood in the office with awkward and somewhat helpless expressions.

Meanwhile, the Steelbone Commander was angrily slamming his fist on the table and reprimanding them.

"Do you guys even look like a navy? You think you can act recklessly in Mary Geoise? You think you can be so lax? You're all reeking of alcohol. Doberman, where's your sword?!" Commander-in-Chief Steelbone demanded angrily.

Doberman was also unlucky. He had drunk too much earlier and got beaten up when he fought with the revolutionary army cadres. He didn't even know where the knife had gone. Now, when he was questioned, he looked ashamed and didn't know how to speak.

Seeing this, Bane quickly entered and said, "Commander-in-Chief, it's all my fault. I was the one who started this banquet a few days ago. You can't blame them. After all, I, a general, invited them to drink. How could they dare not give me face?"

"Don't play the good guy here. What do you mean you started this? It's standard practice in the Navy! They've attended far more World Government meetings than you have, and it's always the same!" Commander-in-Chief Steelbone grumbled.

"The main problem is that we don't really have much time to relax these days. It's not easy for us to get together in Mary Geoise, and it just so happens that it's not in our defense zone. Come to think of it, this isn't really the Navy's fault. Isn't it all the CP agency's fault? Mary Geoise is their headquarters, and the Revolutionary Army was able to sneak into their lair without warning. It's absolutely unforgivable. I suggest that the CP agency's chief be executed as a warning to others!" Bane advised.

Commander-in-Chief Cyborg stared blankly at Bane, thinking, "What did you just say? Who were you going to execute? The CP Chief?"

To put it another way, in the navy, this would be tantamount to asking him to execute the naval admiral with a steel-boned gun.

Steelbone laughed in exasperation, glaring at Bane and saying, "Why don't you just say execute Sakazuki?"

"That works too. I think I can give it a try for the marshal position," Bane said shamelessly.

Upon hearing this, the group of sailors behind him, perhaps still under the influence of alcohol, couldn't help but let out some awkward laughter.

Onigumo, in particular, couldn't stop laughing. How dare he call himself a direct descendant of Sakazuki?

Not a single mistake, not a single poem, not a single post, not a single piece of content, not a single look!

Cyborg was originally going to teach Bane a lesson, but just as he was about to say something, he saw that Bane looked like he had just come out of the ICU, his head was wrapped up like an Indian, and his arm was in a splint as if it was broken.

He frowned and asked, "What happened? You're so badly injured?"

"Yeah, it's all that old bastard Garp's fault. I caught Dragon, the culprit, the moment I saw him, and I was fighting him. I was confident I could take him down. But then Garp, for some reason, came down from the sky with a Galactic Impact, pulling both Dragon and me in. You know, Dragon is experienced; he's been beaten up by his unreliable father countless times, so he handled it quite well. I, on the other hand, was inexperienced. I trusted Vice Admiral Garp completely, considering him a comrade I could entrust my back to, even my life. And then he attacked me with a heavy blow, beating me up like this when I was completely unprepared. It's awful; my head is all split open. I'm still dizzy talking to you now. Ultimately, the operation to capture Dragon failed, and he jumped off the Red Line and escaped." Bane pushed all the blame onto Garp.

No sooner had Bane finished speaking than Zoro burst out laughing, instantly drawing the attention of Commander-in-Chief Cyborg.

Steelbone asked with a dark expression, "What are you laughing at?"

"I thought of something funny, sorry," Zoro said, covering his mouth and looking uncomfortable.

"What's so funny? Why don't you tell us so we can all have a laugh?" Cyborg glared at Zoro.

Fubuki quickly chimed in, "Commander-in-Chief, his wife is giving birth today, so he must have thought of that, right?"

"Ah, right, right, my wife gave birth," Zoro quickly replied. At this point, he didn't care whether he had a wife or not; he just got the point across.

Commander-in-Chief Steelbone might not know if Zoro has a wife, but the other Marine officers had been drinking with Zoro for seven or eight days, so how could they not know his situation? The laughter that they had just managed to suppress was suddenly broken, and they all covered their mouths, their expressions distorted, as if they wanted to stop him but couldn't stop their own ferocious laughter. The whole office was filled with eerie laughter.

This infuriated Steelbone, who slammed his fist on the table and yelled, "You bunch of bastards, can't you be serious for once?!"

However, after he finished cursing, he laughed and pointed at the navy personnel present, saying, "If I were still the admiral, you would all be fired one by one. How dare you laugh here?"

Meanwhile, in Melvure.

Zephyr was chatting with Sengoku and Kuzan about the situation in the New World when suddenly the Den Den Mushi on the table rang.

"Ain?" Kuzan glanced at the Den Den Mushi and said, "Wasn't she at the World Conference in Mary Geoise with Bane? Did something happen?"

"I don't know." Zephyr answered the Den Den Mushi and asked, "Is this Ain? What is it?"

"Teacher, Mary Geoise was attacked by the Revolutionary Army led by Dragon, and the young master was summoned by Commander-in-Chief Steelbone for questioning. I'm a little worried, so I want to..." Ain said with some anxiety.

Zephyr was taken aback for a moment, then asked in surprise, "Drag attacked Mary Geoise?"

"Although the exact extent of the damage has not yet been determined, the situation is quite serious," Ain said.

Zephyr burst into laughter and said, "I told you back then that Garp's son would amount to something! Well done, well done! Hahahaha!"
