Chapter 1 Hogwarts Potions Shop
Chapter 1 Hogwarts Potions Shop
Arthur Avenue, Bronx, New York.
This is the most Italian-style avenue in the United States, and also a charming comprehensive scenic avenue that integrates tourism, leisure, and food.
During the day, the place is bustling with activity, attracting a constant stream of tourists and gourmets.
They came either drawn by the stunning scenery or eager to savor the authentic Italian cuisine.
The streets and alleys were filled with laughter and chatter, the sounds of people talking and vendors hawking their wares intertwined, creating a vivid and bustling scene.
However, at night, as the shops close and the lights go out...
The once noisy street gradually quieted down.
Only the rows of streetlights standing along the roadside provided a dim light, which seemed weary as it struggled to illuminate the space.
The entire street was shrouded in darkness, enveloped in a veil of mystery.
Only the apartments on the high-rise buildings gradually lit up, like twinkling stars, bringing a touch of warmth and life to this darkness.
Buildings 6 and 8 on Arthur Avenue were originally closely connected.
Suddenly, a small house appeared on the street. I don't know when.
The number above reads 7 Arthur Avenue, and the sudden appearance of this small house and the string of numbers on it seem particularly out of place.
A sign was prominently displayed above the hut, which read "Hogwarts Potions Shop" in large letters.
Despite the dim lighting, the signboard of the cabin exuded a mysterious and strange aura.
Those who were constantly monitoring the area began making phone calls.
"Boss, the potion shop is now open for business."
"Good job, I'll be right there."
"BOSS!"
"Okay, I understand."
"Sir, the target has been spotted."
"I'll be right there."
In less than 10 minutes, several luxury cars sped up onto the street.
The screeching sound of brakes shattered the tranquility of the night, and smoke from the friction of tires against the ground filled the air.
A group of wealthy and influential people got out of the car.
"Mr. Carl, I didn't expect you to be here too."
A man with a thick beard greeted him warmly.
"Stephen, you're very well-informed."
Karl responded with a smile, but his eyes held a hint of scrutiny.
The two embraced like old friends, but each harbored their own thoughts.
"You guys are really tight-lipped; you didn't even tell me about this good thing."
Stephen complained, his face showing displeasure.
"Stephen, although you may be able to wield considerable influence on Wall Street, it's nothing more than sudden wealth."
Carl's tone seemed to mock Stephen's wealth as having come too easily and lacking substance.
Stephen was losing face and was about to retort when...
"Buzz~"
"Buzz~"
The roar of the engine suddenly filled the air, and powerful sound waves assaulted people's eardrums.
A silver Audi R8 sped from the street corner, its body gleaming brightly under the streetlights.
The license plate, bearing Tony Stark's calligraphy, was particularly eye-catching.
"This is troublesome, why is this playboy here too?" someone muttered under their breath.
Tony Stark stepped out of the car with effortless grace, exuding confidence and unbridled spirit.
He walked to the other side of the car, gently opened the door, and bowed politely.
A tall, blonde woman stepped out of the passenger seat, her skirt billowing in the wind, looking like a star straight out of a movie.
"Tony, where is this?" Pepper Potts asked in confusion, her beautiful eyes curiously looking around.
"Pepper, this is a great place. It's your birthday today. I always have good luck when I'm with you." Tony Stark smiled confidently, his eyes full of tenderness.
Pepper Potts said with some dissatisfaction, "It's my birthday today, and I wanted to see a Broadway show, not come here." Her tone carried a hint of resentment.
Tony Stark quickly reached out and wrapped his arm around Pepper Potts' waist, the movement practiced and natural.
Pepper Potts struggled to break free, a blush creeping onto her face.
"With so many people here, give your boss some face," Tony Stark winked mischievously, "Don't embarrass me."
Pepper Potts then noticed that a large number of people had gathered around her, and that each of them was someone of considerable importance.
These were mostly important figures who only appeared on television, which made her increasingly suspicious.
"What's going on? Where exactly is this place?" Pepper Potts asked again.
"Secret~" Tony Stark deliberately kept everyone in suspense, a mysterious smile on his face.
Happy Hogan, a fat man with a thick beard, looks intimidating.
He was Tony Stark's bodyguard and driver.
He was carrying a box, and you could tell from Happy's flushed face that it was heavy.
Tony Stark snapped his fingers with a flourish.
"Then what are we waiting for?"
Then, with a gentle yet possessive touch, he put his arm around Pepper's slender waist, a confident smile on his face, and strode confidently toward the mysterious little shop.
Meanwhile, others also began to take action.
One of the men, with a slightly receding hairline, had a focused and cautious look in his eyes, as if he were giving a tense report to his superior through an earpiece.
"Sir, they're about to enter that magical potion shop."
His voice was low, but it couldn't hide his urgency.
"Go in, Phil." A calm and decisive command came through the headset.
"Yes, sir," Phil Coulson replied quickly, "but we might go home empty-handed today."
His brows furrowed slightly, his face filled with helplessness. "The least number of people who came tonight are billionaires with a net worth of at least 10 billion. The amount of money I brought is simply not enough."
Not a single mistake, not a single poem, not a single post, not a single piece of content, not a single look!
As he spoke, he unconsciously shook his head.
"I'll do my best." A short but firm reply came from the other end of the headset.
Coulson shrugged, sighed softly, and said, "Okay."
"Hogwarts?" Pepper asked curiously, looking at the shop's sign. "Is that a place name?"
Stark replied nonchalantly, "Who knows?"
Pepper's gaze was then drawn to the two stone sculptures at the entrance.
The two stone sculptures were carved with great lifelike detail, and the expressions of fear and despair on the figures were portrayed with remarkable realism.
It allows people to feel the fear and helplessness deep in their hearts.
The struggle was portrayed vividly, and every detail was handled perfectly.
Even the finest wrinkles on their clothes were clearly visible, as if these were not cold statues, but two living souls frozen in time.
It's simply a masterpiece.
However, Pepper did not feel appreciative; instead, she felt uncomfortable, and her body trembled slightly.
The two statues seemed to suddenly come to life and lunge at her.
"The store manager seems to have a distorted sense of aesthetics; why are there two such frightening statues at the entrance?"
Pepper couldn't help but complain, and she subconsciously moved closer to Stark.
Stark couldn't bear to tell Pepper the truth, fearing he would frighten her.
The topic was changed.
"Let's go inside and find a seat."
As Stark spoke, he gently tugged at Pepper's hand and led her into the shop.
As soon as the two entered the shop, they felt a wave of warmth wash over them.
Wearing a formal dress, Pepper couldn't help but exhale a breath of cold air. The white mist instantly dissipated into the warm air, and she was immediately relieved of the cold, feeling warm all over.
"Have the guests arrived?"
A voice, neither male nor female, drifted over, seemingly ethereal and dreamlike, as if it had pierced through layers of mist.
"Same as always, just find a seat."
A person wearing a pale mask and a robe out of place in this era stood behind the counter, intently preparing something.
After saying that, he ignored Stark and Pepper and devoted himself to his own work.
Stark seemed used to this, calmly taking a seat in the middle of the first row facing the counter, and then gently pulling Pepper to sit on his left.
Pepper stared at the mask for a while and then felt a little dizzy. She had just seen the mask, but she couldn't remember what it looked like.
"Strange mask," Pepper muttered to herself.
That wasn't all that puzzled her.
The man was dressed strangely; his long robe was embroidered with mysterious patterns, and the style was ancient and unique.
And then there's his cold attitude towards Stark.
It's important to know that Tony Stark is a world-renowned billionaire, arms dealer, and scientist.
In the eyes of ordinary people, it is extremely difficult to even see him once. If one can establish a relationship with him, one will be set for life.
However, the strangely dressed man paid no attention to Stark, leaving him aside and ignoring him.
Just as she was about to ask Stark a question, the others began to enter.
Pepper had no choice but to abandon the idea for the time being.
When the last seat was filled, the shop's door suddenly slammed shut.
They ruthlessly blocked those who wanted to come in from outside the door.
The mysterious man then slowly spoke: "Everyone's here, so let's begin."
Everyone present involuntarily focused their attention.
