Chapter 119 The Fairy Queen

Deep within the ruins, as the ritual entered its final stage, the iceberg began to tremble slightly, and Deliora could escape at any moment.

"Finally, finally this day has come! I will prove that I have surpassed you, Uru!!"

Years of waiting, all the pain and sweat, have converged into a powerful force at this moment.

Leon's face instantly darkened. "We absolutely cannot let them ruin the plan."

He immediately and decisively issued the order: "Sarudi, you come with me to stop them."

As he turned to leave, Leon's gaze inadvertently swept over Wes, filled with undisguised apprehension and wariness.

"Don't worry, I will keep our promise," Wes said, though he was actually speaking to Ultear.

Leon snorted coldly, "That's for the best." After saying that, he ignored Wes and turned to lead his men to meet the enemy.

"Remember your words," Ultear threatened in a low voice, staring at Wes as if trying to find some kind of assurance in his eyes.

Wes simply smiled and didn't say anything more, but his meaningful smile made people uneasy.

Finally, the Fairy Tail group broke into the ruins.

Wes spotted Erza with her dazzling crimson hair at a glance.

She wore armor, yet it did not restrict her movements in the slightest. Her eyes shone brightly, and she exuded an aura of confidence, power, and beauty, truly deserving of the title "Fairy Queen."

Wes's gaze held a clear appreciation, which Erza noticed immediately.

She pointed her longsword at Wes. "State your name."

"Erza, leave this one to me." Natsu stood between the two, his eyes burning with rage.

"Natsu, is he the mysterious mage who defeated you?" Erza asked.

"It's him." Natsu clasped his fists together, ready to attack.

Wes said with a hint of provocation, "I'm more interested in the Fairy Queen than the Fire Dragon."

These words immediately broke Natsu's defenses. "Damn it, don't underestimate me!!"

Intense flames erupted from all over his body, enveloping him like a burning volcano.

Faced with such a spectacular scene, Wes was somewhat dismissive.

"The young dragon's trick only needs to be used once."

Natsu interpreted Wes's words as nothing less than a disregard for his abilities.

Natsu felt his blood boiling, and veins bulged on his forehead and arms.

"Damn it!" he roared, then charged toward Wes at incredible speed, the ground beneath his feet cracking and dust flying everywhere from the force of the impact.

"Fire Dragon's Iron Fist!" His right hand was wreathed in powerful dragon flames, like a burning meteorite, hurtling towards Wes with destructive force.

However, no matter how powerful the move is, it's all for naught if it misses the enemy.

Wes made no defensive move, but looked at Natsu with an almost pitying gaze.

Time seemed to freeze when Natsu's right fist struck Wes.

Wes's body turned into countless bubbles, and Natsu's fist passed through a void. The bubbles floated in the air and eventually disappeared without a trace.

"How is that possible..."

This was just a clone of Wes. Natsu's fist missed its target, striking the wall behind him with tremendous force.

After a loud crash, a large hole was smashed in the wall, and the entire ruin shook, with dust and rubble flying everywhere.

"Damn it, it's that trick again." Natsu looked around in frustration, searching for Wes's whereabouts.

He sniffed hard, but couldn't detect any trace of Wes.

"Why can't I smell his scent?"

At the same time, Wes' true form suddenly appeared in front of Erza, "Please let me see 'Disguise Magic'."

Erza did not refuse Wes's "invitation".

Natsu is no match for him; I need to lure him away.

Natsu, however, was relentless, roaring, "Your opponent is me!!" He then charged at Wes, preparing to launch another attack.

Ultear quickly stopped Natsu.

"Alright, I accept your challenge," Erza sheathed her longsword. "This place is too cramped; it's not conducive to our performance."

Without waiting for Wes's reply, Erza turned and walked out of the ruins.

Erza's battle plan was simple. [From Lucy's description, this guy's magical attack range is huge; luring him out will create an opportunity for Lucy and Happy.]

Wes didn't care where the battle took place. He knew what Erza was planning; he just wanted to experience different kinds of magic.

"Let's do it here." Erza surveyed the surroundings; they were now a sufficient distance from the ruins. "You don't have any objections, do you?"

"I'm fine anywhere, Miss Scarlett."

"You know me."

"Well, that's what happens when Fairy Tail is so famous!"

"Then tell me your name." Erza pointed her sword at Wes. "It's the most basic respect you can show your opponent."

"It was my oversight," Wes said gracefully, giving a wizard's salute. "My name is Wes."

"Wes??" Erza searched her memory for the name but found nothing. "A name I've never heard of before."

"Just an unknown nobody."

"Defeating Natsu is not something an unknown nobody can do."

[As Lucy said, this guy can use multiple types of magic. I can't let him gain the upper hand; I need to take the initiative.]

A flash of light appeared on Erza's body, and her knight's armor transformed into a garment made of animal hide, with a piece of cloth armor hanging on the side.

Her weapons transformed into twin swords, and her ears became pointed animal ears, giving her an aura of wild power.

"Armor of Flight." Erza murmured, and her body was once again enveloped in light, this time revealing a set of light and streamlined armor.

This is one of Erza's commonly used armors, which can greatly increase her speed.

"Interesting, summoning different armors to fight?" Before Wes could finish speaking, Erza's figure had already disappeared from the spot.

"Clang!!" Erza swung her twin swords at Wes, but they were blocked by an invisible layer of armor, producing a crisp metallic clang.

"A sneak attack is not something a knight should do."

"I am not a knight, I am a mage."

Erza swiftly swung her twin swords, countless sword shadows weaving in the air, completely obscuring Wes's vision.
