Chapter 157 Wishes Fulfilled

Just as Wes was getting into it, he suddenly heard Nick Fury's voice.

The voice was urgent and serious, like a thunderclap exploding in his ears.

"Attention! A nuclear missile is heading your way!"

"Attention! A nuclear missile is heading your way!"

"Attention! A nuclear missile is heading your way!"

He repeated the important thing three times, each time with endless tension and worry.

When Steve heard this news, he could hardly believe his ears.

His eyes widened, his face filled with shock and anger.

They fought valiantly on the front lines, giving their all to protect the Earth and humanity, only to be betrayed by their own people!

"Damn it!" Steve cursed angrily, his fists clenched so tightly that his knuckles turned white.

"Why? We've already suppressed the aliens."

His voice was filled with incomprehension and indignation.

Tony, who is usually sharp-tongued, remained silent at this moment.

Just when everyone was in despair, Thor brought good news.

"The wormhole can be closed now."

These words were like a ray of light in the darkness, instantly giving everyone hope.

Tony suddenly had an idea. "Breaking News, buy me some time."

He then flew toward the missile carrying the nuclear bomb.

The missile flew toward New York, leaving a long trail in the sky, like a wound of despair.

The artificial intelligence 'Jarvis' quickly helped Tony plan the optimal route.

Just like in the original story, Tony, carrying a nuclear bomb, rushed into the wormhole without hesitation.

Before long, all the Chitauri soldiers were paralyzed as if the power had been cut off.

The moment the wormhole closed, Tony fell from space.

However, this time Hulk won't have to use such a violent method to save him.

Wes quickly cast a levitation spell, placing Tony steadily on the ground.

Upon seeing this, the Avengers all gathered around, their faces full of concern.

Wes silently made way for them, watching them gather around Tony.

While no one was paying attention, Wes quietly entered Stark Tower.

Several tens of minutes later, a fully armed S.H.I.E.L.D. team appeared in Stark Tower.

They escorted a box that looked incredibly high-tech as it rode the elevator to the top floor.

Wes's target was inside that box.

The elevator was descending smoothly when it suddenly stopped without warning.

The people inside immediately went on alert, their eyes filled with vigilance, their muscles tense, ready to deal with any potential danger.

The elevator doors slowly opened, and when they saw Wes standing outside, they almost instinctively pointed their guns at him.

"Give me the stuff," Wes said in an almost commanding tone, conveying an unquestionable air of authority.

A bald man wearing glasses reached out and pressed the muzzle of the gun, stopping his subordinate's impulsive act.

"Mr. Erwin, this thing is very dangerous and must be managed by S.H.I.E.L.D." The bald man said in a serious tone.

Wes didn't know the bald man's name, but he knew that the man was a member of Hydra, a dangerous agent hiding within S.H.I.E.L.D.

"Sir, what you're doing is...

Wes couldn't be bothered to listen to the man's nonsense.

With a gentle wave of his hand, a powerful force surged forth, knocking the men unconscious.

The box fell to the ground with a dull thud. Wes strode over to it.

"The Arahu Cave Opens."

With a single unlocking spell, the tightly sealed box was opened.

Inside the box lay Loki's scepter, lying quietly.

Wes picked up the scepter and gently stroked its shaft, the delicate touch filling him with a strange excitement.

He gazed at the blue gem at the top, which emitted a deep and captivating light, containing endless mysteries.

"It's so beautiful," Wes couldn't help but exclaim.

Just then, Wes suddenly noticed someone behind him.

He immediately turned around and saw Steve standing right behind him.

However, Steve looked deeply tired, his face filled with weariness and helplessness.

"Did Thanos snap his fingers?" Wes asked tentatively.

"So you knew all along." Steve, who must be the future Steve, had a complicated expression.

Not a single mistake, not a single poem, not a single post, not a single piece of content, not a single look!

"I thought the Mind Stone would be safe in my hands."

Wes was suspicious, and various thoughts flashed through his mind.

[Am I going to be captured by Thanos in the future?]

"All I know is that you willingly handed the Mind Stone to Thanos," the future Steve said gravely.

"So that's how it is."

Wes guessed something, and a look of understanding flashed in his eyes.

"Wes, for the sake of everyone in the universe, please give me the Mind Stone," Steve said, almost pleadingly. "I know no one can stop you if you want to leave, but this is our last hope."

"I don't think resurrecting the half that died is a good thing, but I know you won't give up."

Wes sighed.

[Fine, I was moved by your stories before.]

Wes handed the scepter to Steve.

"Thank you." After taking the scepter, Steve vanished instantly.

Less than a second later, he reappeared and returned the scepter to Wes.

"Steve," Wes called out to him.

Steve turned around, wondering why Wes had called him back.

Wes hesitated for a moment, unsure of what to say.

"Anyway, thank you, Wes." After saying this, Steve disappeared again.

Weiss carefully put the scepter away.

He calmly walked out of Stark Tower, disappearing quietly right under everyone's noses.

People around him were busy moving about, either working anxiously on the aftermath of the battle or still feeling the shock and exhaustion from the intense fighting that had just ended. No one paid any attention to him.

Before long, Wes returned to his potion shop.

He gently closed the shop door, shutting out the noise and disturbances of the outside world.

In the quiet shop, he took out the scepter, his movements gentle and focused.

He knew, of course, what he would face next: the furious pursuit of S.H.I.E.L.D., or even immense pressure from the entire United States.

However, there was no trace of worry on his face.

In his mind, the value of the Mind Stone far outweighed all the potential risks, and the Mind Stone was worth his enmity with the United States.

For Wes, the Mind Stone will undoubtedly be a significant aid in his exploration of more worlds, and among the six Infinity Stones, the Mind Stone is undoubtedly the most suitable for him.

Compared to other gems, the Mind Stone's power is more aligned with Wes's abilities and needs.

The Mind Stone not only provides Wes with powerful mental support, but also integrates with his magic to produce even more amazing effects.
