Chapter 179: Enemy, Not Friend

When Wes slowly appeared, the Defenders superheroes could hardly believe their eyes.

Their eyes widened, and their faces showed disbelief.

"Why you? You're a member of the Avengers."

Daredevil broke the silence first, his voice filled with shock and disappointment.

The other superheroes also showed expressions of anger and confusion.

They never imagined that the person who had been hiding in the shadows and posing a huge threat to them was actually Wes.

In their hearts, the Avengers have always been a symbol of justice, and Wes's betrayal has caused them immense pain and anger.

"Sigh," Wes sighed deeply in resignation.

"I don't think I ever said I was an Avenger," Wes shook his head slightly, his tone calm yet carrying a hint of barely perceptible sarcasm.

His gaze slowly swept over the superheroes, his eyes seemingly able to see through everything and understand every thought in their hearts.

"Do you guys really enjoy labeling people?" Wes asked, his tone tinged with accusation.

Being a superhero is too tiring, Wes thought to himself.

He admitted that he did not have the spirit of selfless dedication, nor the awareness to do anything to save the world.

He was simply someone searching for his own path in this complex world, unwilling to be bound by those so-called hero labels.

He looked at these superheroes, and the shock and anger on their faces seemed so ridiculous to him.

They always judge others by their own standards, but never truly understand the inner world of others.

"You~~" Daredevil was about to speak when Wes instantly silenced him with a kiss.

S didn't want to hear their questions and accusations anymore; he was now more interested in the five leaders of the Opposition.

These five old monsters who used dragon bones to prolong their lives were, in his eyes, a good medium to understand the power of dragon bones.

Wes could sense a vast yet twisted power within them, a power that seemed to originate from an ancient, mysterious being, filled with the unknown and danger.

[Is this the power of the dragon bones? The power within these people has been corrupted.]

Wes pondered to himself, his eyes flashing with curiosity and wariness.

"I'll take care of these five men." Wes's voice was firm and decisive, leaving no room for doubt.

Kingpin nodded slightly, offering no objection. In his view, as long as he could achieve his goals, it didn't matter who dealt with these five people.

Wes slowly walked toward the five leaders of the Hand.

The five leaders felt a strong sense of unease as they watched Wes walk toward them.

They tried to resist, but found their bodies bound by chains and unable to move.

Wes stretched out his hands, and magic flowed from his palms.

He tightly bound the five leaders. They instantly turned into five rag dolls, helplessly controlled by Wes.

This bizarre scene caused everyone in the room to stare at Wes in horror, their eyes filled with fear and shock.

Weiss casually tucked the five Hand leaders, who looked like rag dolls, into his pocket.

The way he did it was as if he were placing some insignificant little objects, relaxed and natural.

"Don't you need these people?" Kingpin raised his chin slightly, pointing at Daredevil and the others.

"Do with them as you please," Wes replied indifferently, the fate of these people being utterly insignificant to him.

His face was expressionless.

Upon hearing this, Kingpin revealed a bloodthirsty smile, a smile filled with cruelty and excitement.

Having finally managed to capture these people using Wes's power, he wasn't about to let this opportunity slip by.

These people are all stumbling blocks to his ambitions and must be eliminated.

Kingpin raised his foot, which was as powerful as a giant stone pillar.

He kicked Daredevil with tremendous force, a kick that seemed capable of destroying everything.

The air whistled sharply under the impact of the kick.

"Pfft~~" Daredevil had no time to dodge and was sent flying backward.

His body flew through the air in an arc, like a kite with a broken string.

The blood that spurted from his mouth drew a bright arc in the air.

Daredevil then smashed a wall so hard that it collapsed instantly under his impact, raising a cloud of dust.

Daredevil lay in the ruins, his body trembling slightly, a look of pain on his face.

Kingpin looked at Daredevil's miserable state without the slightest pity.

These superheroes are his enemies and must be eliminated.

He planned to finish Daredevil off without giving him any chance to breathe.

Not a single mistake, not a single poem, not a single post, not a single piece of content, not a single look!

A weak voice called out, "Stop!" The voice was faint.

Iron Fist regained consciousness at some point. Although he was still bleeding profusely, his eyes shone with an indomitable light.

He struggled to lift his head and look at Kingpin.

Kingpin lifted him up with one hand and made him look at him.

His eyes were full of mockery and disdain.

"You want the power of the Dragon Bone, right? You won't be able to activate it without me." Iron Fist's voice was weak, but full of confidence.

He knew that he was the key to activating the dragon bone, and as long as he was alive, the other party would not dare to make any rash moves.

"Heh heh heh," Kingpin sneered, "You're already in our hands. We have plenty of ways to make you obey us."

A sinister smile spread across his face.

"What if I self-destruct?" Iron Fist's voice suddenly became firm and resolute.

His eyes gleamed with madness, clearly prepared to die together with his opponent.

Kingpin was stunned; he hadn't expected Iron Fist to be so resolute.

A sense of unease welled up within him. He knew that if Iron Fist really self-destructed, their plan would be ruined.

"The wizard is indeed powerful, but Kunlun's legacy is not weak either." Iron Fist opened his eyes and said, word by word, "I am 100% confident that I can self-destruct before the wizard controls me. How about it? Want to take a gamble?"

Kingpin's face darkened, and he looked at Wes.

Hopefully, only Wes can give him the answer at this moment.

"Even in Kunlun, 'Iron Fist' is an ancient and powerful tradition, and it cannot be ruled out that he inherited some kind of self-destruction method."

Wes slowly revealed the information he knew.

But this was not the answer Kingpin wanted.

"State your terms." Kingpin gritted his teeth, forced to compromise.

His face was as gloomy as the sky before a storm, terrifyingly dark.

"Let them go," Iron Fist said firmly, his voice weak yet full of power.

"Impossible." Kingpin decisively rejected Iron Fist's terms.

He knew that only by sacrificing his companions' lives could he force Iron Fist to activate the dragon vein.

If he lets his comrade go, Iron Fist will likely self-destruct.
