Chapter 239 Loyalty

Kenneth's attacks grew increasingly ferocious; the mercury-formed blades and whips rained down like a storm, engulfing the entire space in his rage.

His reason gradually crumbled amidst this endless rage, and he completely forgot his purpose in coming to Fuyuki City.

At that moment, he had only one crazy thought in his mind: to kill the couple he saw as traitors.

"Master, think about your goal! This is the Holy Grail War!" Diarmuid shouted urgently, his voice filled with anxiety and worry.

He knew all too well how dangerous it was to lose one's mind in this Holy Grail War; they had to remain calm in order to have a chance of victory.

"The Holy Grail War??" Kenneth's attack suddenly stopped, a hint of confusion flashing in his eyes.

At that moment, Diarmuid's words seemed to pull him back to reality, and he began to rethink his actions.

"That's right!" Diarmuid exclaimed as if grasping at a straw. "This is all an enemy conspiracy. We can't fall into their trap. We should unite and fight together against them for the Holy Grail."

Kenneth looked at the Command Seals on his hand; the mysterious patterns seemed to remind him of his mission.

"You are my Servant," Kenneth said slowly.

"That's right," Diarmuid exclaimed with delight, "If we join forces, the Holy Grail will surely be yours."

His eyes were full of expectation, hoping that Kenneth could truly calm down and reassess the current situation.

"I was so stupid to not even see through such a simple problem," Kenneth said, while tidying his hair.

A hint of regret flickered in his expression, as if he were ashamed of his earlier lapse in composure. "I really messed up just now."

Dirumdo breathed a sigh of relief, secretly rejoicing.

[Great, Master has finally calmed down.]

He thought to himself silently, while also feeling gratified that he had successfully persuaded Kenneth.

However, just when Diarmuid thought the crisis was over, Kenneth's expression suddenly became distorted.

"Then I command you, Lancer," Kenneth's voice was filled with coldness and resolve, "kill Solana Zelesophiari!!"

"?!?!" Diarmuid's mind went blank for a moment. He never expected Kenneth to give such an order.

He stared wide-eyed at Kenneth, trying to make sure he hadn't misheard.

In the instant Diarmuid was stunned, Kenneth activated the Command Spell without hesitation: "Kill Solana Zeresofiari!"

As the Command Spell was activated, Diarmuid's body moved involuntarily.

His right hand gripped the spear tightly, and the sharp tip of the spear slowly rose, aiming at Sora.

"Master, stop!" Diarmuid cried out in terror, his voice filled with pleading.

He resisted the power of the Command Spell with all his might, veins bulging on his forehead and sweat pouring down his face.

His eyes were filled with pain and struggle. He was unwilling to carry out this insane order, knowing that once he thrust the gun, it would have irreversible consequences.

"Go quickly." Diarmuid squeezed out the two words through gritted teeth, his eyes fixed on Sora.

He hoped Sora could escape from here as soon as possible; he didn't want her to become a victim of the Command Seals.

He knew that once Kenneth calmed down, he would regret what he had done.

But now, he must find a way to stop his body and prevent this tragedy from happening.

"You actually broke the Command Spell for her? Don't you really have any feelings for her at all?"

Kenneth questioned.

Tears welled up in Sora's eyes like a flood bursting its banks.

She couldn't believe that Diarmuid would disobey a Command Seal for her sake. In her mind, a Command Seal was an absolute command to a Servant, which could not be disobeyed.

However, Diarmuid did it, which filled her with an indescribable sense of emotion.

Dirumdo was utterly exasperated, like he'd been swallowed by mud.

He had no romantic feelings for Sora; his resistance stemmed only from respect for innocent lives, the dignity of a knight, and loyalty to his lord.

"I order you to kill her!!" Kenneth roared, issuing the order once again.

This move completely shattered Diarmuid's last hope; his strength was insufficient to resist the immense power of the three Command Seals.

Dirumdo's heart was filled with despair and sorrow.

He recalled his past life, how he was misunderstood by his lord, and how he ultimately committed suicide.

After becoming a Heroic Spirit, he thought he could find a worthy monarch to serve in the Holy Grail War and fulfill the duty he failed to fulfill in his previous life.

However, he did not gain Kenneth's trust.

He always harbored regret and felt guilty for not being able to be loyal to his monarch in his previous life.

Not a single mistake, not a single poem, not a single post, not a single piece of content, not a single look!

Participating in the Holy Grail War was his only obsession. He hoped to fulfill the duty he had failed to complete in his previous life as a knight and serve a monarch until the very end.

However, this simple wish was shattered at that moment.

What a failure, both as a human and as a Heroic Spirit.

Diarmuid sighed silently in his heart.

He felt his life was full of helplessness and sorrow, as he had failed to realize his ideals, whether as a human or a heroic spirit.

Master, this is the last thing I can do for you.

Diarmuid thought to himself silently, his eyes filled with helplessness and determination.

He knew that he could no longer disobey the Command Spell to harm Sora, nor could he continue to serve Kenneth.

Faced with this dilemma, he made a tragic decision.

"Sizzle!!!" A muffled sound rang out, and blood spurted out instantly.

The crimson liquid splashed in the air like blooming flowers, both beautiful and desperate.

Sora and Kenneth stared wide-eyed, stunned by what they saw.

They couldn't believe that Diarmuid would resort to such a brutal method.

Diarmuid's body trembled slightly, and a look of pain appeared on his face. But his eyes remained firm, without the slightest regret.

He looked at Kenneth and, with his last ounce of strength, said, "Master, beware of the enemy."

After giving his final instructions, Diarmuid slowly closed his eyes.

His body began to become ethereal, turning into countless points of light that gradually dissipated into the air.

Those points of light, like dazzling stars, illuminated the dark corridor, but also took away a valiant knight.

Sora and Kenneth stood there, stunned and grief-stricken.

They stared at the spot where Diarmuid had disappeared, speechless for a long time.
