Chapter 33 A Plan

"You three hurry back to your dorm, or Mrs. Lorris will catch you again."

Wes urged Harry, Ron, and Hermione to go back.

"Thank you, Professor."

Hermione quickly thanked them, then hurriedly grabbed her two companions and ran.

Harry and Ron also hurriedly thanked her, their faces showing a hint of panic, and followed closely behind Hermione.

The three of them jogged towards the Gryffindor common room.

"Being young is great."

Wes watched them walk away, his thoughts drifting back to his student days. Back then, he was a renowned model student, spending almost all his time in the library. He didn't break any school rules, and he barely had any friends.

Wes didn't regret his choice; he knew full well that the path he was destined to walk was one of solitude. He chose to journey alone on the path of pursuing magic and a longer lifespan.

Perhaps in the future, he will meet fellow travelers and share their discoveries and insights.

-

The students gradually realized that Filch seemed to be at odds with the trio of Harry, Ron, and Hermione.

Wherever the trio went, Filch followed them closely like a shadow.

Even during class, Filch would stand guard outside the classroom door, never leaving its side.

His gloomy figure loomed over the trio like a shadow, making it impossible for Harry and his friends to concentrate on their studies.

However, the three of them have been behaving well lately and haven't violated any school rules.

This disappointed Filch, but he was patient enough to believe that he would eventually find fault with them.

Hermione couldn't stand being watched all the time; she felt like she was suffocating.

So she went to Professor McGonagall and recounted her ordeal.

When Professor McGonagall learned of this, she severely reprimanded Filch for his behavior. Although Filch was unwilling, he dared not disobey Professor McGonagall's orders and let the three go for the time being.

However, as he passed by Harry and the other two, he whispered:

"Don't get cocky, there are still five years left. I can keep playing this game forever."

His voice was so sinister and terrifying that it made Ron's face turn pale.

Hermione was so angry that she rushed over to confront Filch, but Harry grabbed her arm in a flash.

"How could he do that? That kind of guy should be fired!"

Even the good student Hermione was enraged. She couldn't tolerate Filch's unreasonable behavior and felt that he was seriously affecting the students' normal lives and studies.

"We can ask Professor Irwin; Mrs. Lorris is very close to him, so perhaps he knows something."

Harry suggested.

"Good idea." Hermione and Ron both nodded in agreement.

The three of them rushed up to the seventh floor and arrived at Professor Weiss's office.

Hermione knocked gently on the door, the crisp sound echoing down the hallway.

"Thump~"

"Thump~ thump"

"Please come in."

After receiving Weiss's permission, the three of them entered the office one after the other.

They saw Erwin holding a quill pen, writing something intently in a notebook.

Harry's gaze was drawn to the notebook, and suddenly the scar on his forehead throbbed with pain. The pain, like an electric shock, coursed through his body, causing him to let out a scream.

"Ah!" Harry clutched his forehead, a pained expression on his face.

"Harry??" Ron and Hermione were startled and quickly helped Harry up to prevent him from falling.

Can Horcruxes influence each other? Or is it because Harry is so exceptional?

Seeing this, Wes quickly put the diary back in the box and locked it. Surprisingly, Harry's headache disappeared.

"I'm fine," Harry reassured his two friends, his voice weak. "I guess Filch's been watching me too closely lately, and I've been too nervous."

Ron foolishly believed it because he had a nightmare about being chased by Filch that night, and he didn't sleep well all night. His head was buzzing and he felt very uncomfortable all day.

Hermione, however, did not believe his explanation; she felt that things were not that simple.

She grabbed Harry and tried to take him to the school nurse for a checkup, but Harry repeatedly assured her that he was fine.

Left with no other option, Hermione had to ask Professor Wess for help with the examination.

Wes quickly examined Harry and said, "No problem, it's probably just intermittent headaches caused by lack of sleep."

"It's all Filch's fault. I haven't slept well for days, and I have nightmares every night." Ron's face was full of disgust, and his dissatisfaction with Filch had reached its peak.

"Professor, do you know why Filch is targeting students like this?"

Hermione asked, distressed, "What he's doing makes it impossible for me to concentrate on my studies."

Not a single mistake, not a single poem, not a single post, not a single piece of content, not a single look!

Harry and Ron exchanged a glance, indicating their inability to comprehend the world of academic geniuses.

"Mr. Filch." Wes didn't actually dislike Filch that much; he reminisced about his student days.

Back then, he was an outstanding student, and Dean Flitwick protected him greatly, granting him many privileges. Therefore, Filch never dared to cause him any trouble.

Wes knew Filch was a Squib. His parents were both wizards, but Filch hadn't awakened any magical powers. Being born into a wizarding family yet unable to cast spells was a despairing situation.

Many wizarding families consider Squibs a disgrace to the family, and some even expel them from the family and refuse to acknowledge their identity.

In short, it's very difficult to survive in the wizarding world as a Squib. Therefore, Filch's childhood can only be described as tragic.

In comparison, Harry's situation at his aunt's house was far worse than one-tenth of Filch's.

This is precisely what directly led to Filch's twisted personality, which only began to emerge after he was taken in by Dumbledore and became the Hogwarts warden.

However, Wes wouldn't tell Harry and the others these things, not because he was afraid of Filch, but because he didn't have a penchant for revealing other people's privacy.

He only told the three of them that, given Professor McGonagall's warning, Filch would behave for a while.

If Filch continues to target the three, he can have their parents write a complaint, and Headmaster Dumbledore will intervene.

The three didn't get the answer they wanted, and somewhat disappointed, they politely said goodbye to Wes. Before leaving, Harry glanced at the drawer of Wes's desk where he kept his diary and tentatively asked:

"Professor, was that notebook very important?"

"It's just a very ordinary diary. What, you want it?" Wes pretended to open the drawer.

Harry waved his hand: "You misunderstand, that's not what I meant..."

"Just kidding. Your friends have all left, why don't you go after them?" Professor Wes said with a smile.

Goodbye, Professor.

Harry closed the office door and jogged to catch up with Hermione and Ron.

After the three left, Wes reopened the drawer, took out his diary, and muttered to himself, "Senior Tom, what a disappointment. The magic you possess is precious to ordinary students, but it's useless to me."

The diary suddenly started shaking, automatically turning to a page that read: "What do you want to do?"

Wes didn't bother to answer; he simply stared at his diary, lost in thought.

"Snapped!"

He slammed the diary shut, put it in his jacket pocket, and walked out of the office.
