Chapter 379 Sandbag

To scout out the situation below, someone threw down a flare.

The flare trailed a long tail as it slowly descended.

After a long silence, everyone's hearts were in their throats as they waited anxiously.

However, with the help of the flares, everyone finally saw that there was no trap.

"Is it really that deep beneath the White House?"

Some people couldn't help but exclaim, their voices filled with surprise and doubt.

"Why bother with all that?"

An impatient superhero jumped down, and Steve, worried about him, jumped down after him.

After a while, a voice came through the earpiece: "Guys, I think you guys need to come down and take a look."

The Punisher and Natasha exchanged a glance and then jumped down.

Seeing this, the other superheroes also sprang into action, sliding down the cave wall.

At first, it was pitch black all around, as if shrouded by the god of darkness. But as we went deeper, we gradually began to see light.

Once everyone had regained their footing, they were all speechless with astonishment.

"here it is??"

The surrounding environment surprised everyone.

The underground world and the surface world are completely different. It is warm here, as if spring is eternal, and it is even covered with flowers and plants, like a paradise.

The stone walls were covered with moss, which emitted a faint glow that illuminated this underground world.

There were also some strange animals, each with a different shape; some had transparent wings that shimmered in the dim light, like elves.

Some are small in stature, yet possess exceptionally agile movements, weaving among the flowers and plants like graceful dancers.

"What exactly is going on?"

The superheroes were stunned and didn't know what to do.

"Don't panic, the enemy may be observing us from the shadows."

Steve held his shield in front of him and cautiously looked around, his eyes showing wariness.

"Who among you has reconnaissance abilities?"

"Me!" Peter exclaimed excitedly, raising his right hand. "I can foresee danger, and..."

As he spoke, tiny spider robots crawled out of his armor.

"They can help us find our way."

"Okay, you and I will go first," Steve instructed. "Be careful, you never know what might happen."

Led by Steve and Peter, the superheroes cautiously ventured deeper into this mysterious underground world, each step fraught with unknowns and challenges, as if walking on a tightrope.

"Thump!"

A muffled thud exploded like a thunderclap.

Tony's iconic Iron Man suit was sent flying uncontrollably, like a kite with a broken string.

After tracing a clumsy arc in the air, it crashed heavily to the ground.

"Damn it, is this kid made of iron?" Tony muttered under his breath, blood trickling from the corner of his mouth, hidden inside his armor.

At this moment, he felt a churning sensation inside his body, and every breath was accompanied by a sharp, stabbing pain. It seemed as if his internal organs were bleeding. The excruciating pain turned his face as pale as paper in an instant.

"You're quite the fighter, you tin can." The Archangel Usopp, who had been silent all along, spoke for the first time. His voice was somewhat childish, yet it was full of arrogance, and it clearly reached Tony's ears in the gale.

"Not bad punching bag." He said, a slightly mocking smile playing on his lips, casually toying with the longbow in his hand, as if the blow that had just sent Tony flying was nothing more than a piece of cake for him.

"Sir, the armor is 70% damaged," Jarvis, the armor's built-in AI, calmly reported to Tony in his electronic voice.

"Shut up, I know." Tony exhaled impatiently. He was exhausted and just wanted to take a short break to calm the surging pain in his body and regulate his disordered breathing.

However, Seraph Usopp would not let him off so easily, and did not give him the chance at all, directly activating his power.

In an instant, the surrounding light seemed to be absorbed by the longbow in his hand, and the dazzling light quickly converged. An arrow composed of pure light was nocked on the longbow, emitting a dazzling brilliance, as if it had condensed the essence of the sun.

Upon seeing this, Tony's heart tightened, and a strong sense of crisis instantly surged into his heart.

Before he could react, Seraph Usopp released the bowstring.

With a deafening "BOOM!", the light arrow, like a falling meteor, struck Tony's armor with unerring accuracy, carrying the force to destroy everything.

Under the impact of this terrifying force, the steel armor was utterly vulnerable, instantly melted by the high temperature, and turned into a pool of flowing molten iron.

Not a single mistake, not a single poem, not a single post, not a single piece of content, not a single look!

Fortunately, Tony reacted quickly enough. In the instant he sensed something was wrong, he used his instincts honed over years of combat to disengage from his armor, thus avoiding the fate of being melted down along with the enemy.

He staggered to the ground, kneeling on one knee, panting heavily.

"Jarvis!" Tony shouted, enduring the excruciating pain in his body.

"Roger!" In the sky, a spare suit of armor that had been waiting for orders quickly activated its thrusters and flew towards Tony like a silver lightning bolt. Tony had made thorough preparations for this battle.

Multiple spare battle suits were deployed in the surrounding area in advance, in case of unforeseen circumstances.

However, Seraph Usopp clearly had no intention of giving up.

As soon as the new armor flew to Tony's side, before he could even complete the dressing process, he raised his hand again, nocked an arrow, and drew his bow.

"Boom!" Another arrow shot out, accompanied by a whistling sound, its target aimed directly at Tony, who was getting dressed.

The arrow was still incredibly powerful, destroying the armor that wasn't fully activated yet. Broken parts flew everywhere, creating craters of varying depths on the ground.

"Damn it! Release them all!"

Tony was completely enraged. His eyes were bloodshot, and he gave the order without hesitation, like a wounded beast going berserk.

As the order was given, the steel legion hidden behind the clouds received the signal and surged into Washington’s airspace.

"Hmph," Seraph Usopp looked at the overwhelming steel legion, but his face showed no fear, only a contemptuous smile.

He leaned back slightly, his arm muscles tense, and raised his hand to shoot another arrow.

This arrow, carrying an indomitable momentum, charged straight towards the Iron Legion's camp.

A suit of armor, entirely black and somewhat heavy, acted like a black city wall, quickly rushing to the front of the formation and blocking the arrow.

Despite the violent explosion, the black armor remained completely undamaged.

"Interesting." A hint of surprise flashed in Seraph Usopp's eyes, but he quickly regained his nonchalant demeanor, seemingly unconcerned about this small incident.

In the blink of an eye, Tony had already put on a brand new set of armor.

"Let's see how arrogant you are now, kid."

Tony clenched his fist and piloted his armor into the air.
