Chapter 438 Experiment

After successfully establishing a belief system in the world of One Piece, Wes deeply felt that the power of faith that gathered was like a surging river.

Among them is a pure and powerful force, like plump fish and shrimp, which is the embodiment of the believers' sincere prayers and firm faith.

However, it is also mixed with impurities, such as negative emotions, false reverence, and chaotic thoughts, making this power of faith impure and murky.

If you want to truly harness the power of faith to aid your understanding of the laws of light, what you need to do now is filter out these impurities.

This was yet another extremely tedious task. Weiss spent his days deep in thought, trying to create something that could filter out impurities.

Just as he was fretting over this matter, a bolt of lightning suddenly ripped across the sky and struck the earth without warning.

The lightning bolt was menacing; Wes could sense its power from afar. Its sharp edge carried a hint of melancholy.

"Odin?"

Besides this Allfather of the Gods of Asgard, who else could possess such powerful and unique thunderous force?

Wes couldn't help but wonder, how could Odin suddenly appear on Earth?

His mind raced, and he quickly recalled the plot of Thor: Ragnarok.

Upon thinking about this, Wes' curiosity was instantly ignited, and he secretly wondered: Should I go and join in the fun?

Ragnarok is approaching in Asgard, and this ancient and powerful kingdom is about to face annihilation.

Thinking of the dazzling array of artifacts and precious magical texts in Asgard.

Wes felt it would be a great pity if they disappeared along with the fall of Asgard.

Perhaps, I can reap some unexpected joys in this Ragnarok.

Although Wes was wary of Odin's backup plan, his strong curiosity and desire for opportunity still led him to decide to meet Odin in person.

Even at the end of his life, Odin still had enough tricks up his sleeve to deal with a newly ascended demigod like himself.

However, if they can seize this opportunity, they might gain tremendous benefits from the upheavals in Asgard.

When Wes finally saw Odin, he could hardly believe his eyes.

Is this ragged, one-eyed vagrant really Odin, the once mighty god-king who ruled Asgard?

"You've arrived."

Odin's voice was deep and hoarse, yet it still carried an undeniable air of authority.

"I'm here," Wes replied, his heart filled with mixed emotions.

Odin sat atop a pile of rubbish, yet his demeanor was as if he were seated on a supreme throne, his aura undiminished.

"I thought Thor and Loki would find me first," Odin said, raising his head slightly and gazing into the distance. "I don't have much time left."

"God King..." Wes began, but then didn't know how to continue.

"I know your purpose," Odin interrupted him, then slowly pulled a key from his robes.

The key had a simple, antique design.

"This is the key to the treasure vault."

Odin's tone was calm, yet it conveyed a sense of magnanimity.

"Since Asgard is going to be destroyed anyway, these things are useless. But I have one request."

Odin gazed at Wes with a hint of expectation in his eyes.

Wes was overjoyed and quickly took the key.

"My people are innocent, I hope..." Odin's words were cut short, but the worry and love in his eyes were evident.

"Don't worry."

Wes answered without hesitation; he understood what Odin meant.

"Please tell Frigga for me..."

Odin's voice grew weaker and weaker, his eyes filled with longing and worry for his wife.

In the final moments of his life, this once mighty god-king was still most concerned about his beloved.

He spoke slowly, each word seemingly uttered with all his might.

After explaining all this, Odin's eyes suddenly became vacant, as if he had instantly lost his soul and turned into an ordinary, even somewhat insane, vagrant.

He muttered words that no one could understand, and his body began to tremble uncontrollably.

The Asgardian gods have a unique way of increasing their power.

Their divine power increases with the years, and the stronger they become, the greater this increase will be.

This is why the older the Asgardian gods get, the stronger they become.

This is why Odin has rarely made a move in the past thousand years, yet no force has dared to easily set its sights on Asgard.

However, this growth in power did not come without a price.

Odin's body could not withstand the rapidly growing energy, which was the root cause of his death.

Wes felt a pang of sorrow, perhaps because he couldn't bear to see such a god-king come to such a tragic end.

Not a single mistake, not a single poem, not a single post, not a single piece of content, not a single look!

He silently turned and left, going to a secluded spot. Wes slowly raised the key in his hand and shouted, "Heimdall!"

As soon as he finished speaking, a dazzling rainbow beam shot into the sky—the Rainbow Bridge, unique to Asgard.

Wes was enveloped by this powerful force and was instantly teleported to Asgard.

"Long time no see, Heimdall."

Wes looked at the guardian with the all-seeing eye in front of him and took the initiative to greet him.

But Heimdall was in low spirits, his face clouded over.

Wes guessed that he must already know about Odin's plan, after all, his all-seeing eye can see many things that ordinary people cannot perceive.

"The Queen wishes to see you."

After Heimdall finished speaking, he pointed to a carriage parked outside.

The carriage was ornately decorated and pulled by several brightly colored horses. Its body was covered with runes unique to Asgard, exuding a mysterious and noble aura.

Wes boarded the carriage, and as the wheels slowly rolled, they soon entered the palace of Asgard.

Inside the palace, the walls are inlaid with various dazzling gems, their light reflecting off each other and illuminating the entire space as if it were daytime.

Wes was led up to a tall tower along a long corridor.

Frigga stood quietly atop the tower, overlooking the land of Asgard.

"Isn't it beautiful?" she said softly, her voice tinged with a hint of emotion.

At this moment, Asgard, bathed in the afterglow of the setting sun, seemed to be draped in a golden veil.

The distant mountains, rivers, and towns were all bathed in this dreamlike light, a beauty beyond compare.

"It's a pity we may never see such a view again."

Frigga sighed softly, her tone filled with helplessness and sorrow.

She turned around, her gaze falling on the keys in Wes's hand.

Wes silently handed the key to Frigga.

"Is he alright?"

Frigga took the keys, her eyes filled with concern and expectation. She stared intently at Wes, as if trying to find the answer in his expression.

Wes was stunned for a moment; he didn't know how to answer the question.
