Chapter 472 Packing
Chapter 472 Packing
Wes wouldn't give them any time to breathe or think. A ruthless glint flashed in his eyes, and he coldly shouted, "Annihilation!"
In an instant, an extremely dazzling light suddenly burst forth, like a supernova exploding in the sky above Kamar-Taj.
The light was far more intense than anyone could imagine, instantly stinging the eyes of every mage. The stinging sensation was like looking directly at the sun without any protection. The intense light made it impossible for them to open their eyes; they could only cover their eyes in agony and let out screams.
Wherever the light shone, everything was plunged into endless terror.
Under the onslaught of light, the hard stone seemed to melt like wax at high temperatures, quickly beginning to burn and deform, eventually turning into pools of molten lava that emitted a pungent odor.
The clear water evaporated instantly, turning into billowing white steam.
Under high temperatures, the water vapor is rapidly decomposed into hydrogen and oxygen, which are then ignited, triggering a series of violent small explosions.
Those mages who were unfortunately enveloped in the light suffered an even greater catastrophe.
Their bodies were being torn apart as if by countless invisible hands of fire; their skin rapidly carbonized, their muscles began to burn, and their bones gradually turned to ash under the high temperature.
The most terrifying thing is that this burning doesn't just stop at the physical level; even the mages' souls are not spared.
They could clearly feel the excruciating pain emanating from the depths of their souls, as if countless steel needles were constantly piercing them. The pain blurred their consciousness, and their screams were filled with despair and fear.
No matter what methods the mages used, they could not stop the terrible light and burning. They tried to use magical shields to block it, but the light easily passed through the shields as if they were piercing through a thin sheet of paper;
They tried to retaliate by chanting incantations, but before they could finish, their voices were swallowed by the light, and their bodies vanished.
Strange watched as his companions struggled in agony and slowly faded away in the light, his heart filled with anger and despair.
He could no longer sit idly by and wait for death. At this moment, he had only one thought: to lead the remaining mages to escape this terrible hell.
Strange focused all his attention on deeply communicating with the omnipresent Vishanti.
He no longer cared whether his body could withstand the powerful magic. At this critical moment of life and death, he had no choice but to fight with all his might.
His hands began to spin rapidly, and with his movements, the surrounding space seemed to be violently distorted, as if being kneaded by an invisible giant hand.
The powerful magic, like a surging torrent, under his guidance, continuously assaulted the spatial blockade set up by Wes.
"Trying to run away?"
Wes realized Strange's intentions.
How could he stand by and watch the enemy escape right under his nose?
Just as Wes was about to intervene, Strange blocked his way.
Wes's spiritual vision instantly captured a strange scene: the phantoms of three gods appeared faintly behind Strange, and along with Strange, four pairs of eyes stared intently at him with a powerful sense of oppression.
The sudden sight made Wes pause involuntarily.
That moment of hesitation gave Strange enough opportunity.
Under the influence of that powerful magic, space was completely torn open, creating a huge rift. Taking advantage of this opening, Strange led all the surviving mages and vanished from the spot, leaving behind only a devastated battlefield.
Wes stood amidst the ravaged ruins of Kamar-Taj, his brow furrowed and his eyes gleaming with a chilling light. He had tried everything he could, but still couldn't track down Strange and the others.
"Clean up the battlefield."
Weiss gave the order coldly, his voice carrying an unquestionable authority.
Upon receiving the instructions, the pacifists immediately and methodically began to act.
Their cold, mechanical bodies moved back and forth through the ruins, using their powerful mechanical arms to clear away the collapsed building debris, picking up and sorting the broken bricks, broken wood, and scattered magical items one by one.
Their movements were precise and efficient, without the slightest hesitation. In no time, the originally chaotic battlefield was cleared up in an orderly manner.
Having finished dealing with battlefield affairs, Wes walked steadily toward the library in Kamar-Taj.
This library is a treasure trove of knowledge in the magical world, divided into three floors, each containing endless mysteries.
The first floor contains books that record common magic and various basic texts.
While these books may not be as profound as those in the higher levels of magic, they are the keys to unlocking the door to magic for beginners.
Weiss glanced at the bookshelf, picked up a few books at random, and flipped through their contents. Although the knowledge was superficial, it was still enough to broaden his horizons and learn from others' experiences.
The second layer contains even more profound and difficult-to-understand magical books, each book embodying the wisdom of countless magicians.
Weiss lingered there a little longer, carefully perusing each book.
The third level houses forbidden books that can only be borrowed with the permission of the Sorcerer Supreme. These books either contain magic powerful enough to overturn the world or are filled with evil dark magic. Just a glance at them could plunge those with weak wills into the abyss of darkness.
Wes showed no fear; with his powerful magic, he broke through the complex seals one by one.
As the seal was broken, a powerful dark force rushed out, but Wes remained unmoved. He strode into the library area and swept all the books off the shelves.
Meanwhile, the Seraphim, following Wes's instructions, opened the armory of Kamar-Taj.
The armory displays a variety of magical weapons, including blades that gleam with a cold light, staves that shimmer with mysterious runes, and protective gear that can unleash powerful magic.
Each of these weapons contains immense power and is a precious treasure accumulated by Kamar-Taj throughout history.
Although Wes is powerful enough that he doesn't need these weapons, he can bring them back to the magic school and distribute them to students with potential.
After looting Kamar-Taj, Wes slowly rose into the air. He took one last look at this once glorious land, a cold smile playing on his lips, before disappearing into the vast sea of clouds and leaving the Himalayas.
Having completely broken ties with Kamar-Taj, Wes had no more reservations.
Things that he had hesitated over due to various concerns now became clear and firm in his eyes.
