Full-Time Magister: My Elements Evolve Infinitely

Chapter 59 Something's Wrong

Lin Yu hid to one side of the door, watching Lingling raise her head and call out with adorable eyes, and couldn't help but sigh in his heart.

Indeed, women are born to lie.

*Click*

The doorknob turned, and the door opened a crack, revealing half a man's face. "Whose child are you? Why aren't you home so late?"

"I...I'm lost." Lingling said, her eyes glistening with tears. "Can I use your phone to contact my parents?"

I couldn't hold on to it at all; I simply couldn't hold on to such a pitiful little girl with pigtails.

Lin Yu clicked his tongue in amazement.

Seeing this, the male homeowner opened the door wide. "Okay, come in. You can wait here for your parents to pick you up."

Before the man could finish speaking, Lin Yu shoved him aside and rushed into the apartment.

The star map beneath his feet began to be drawn, and a ball of silver-blue flame appeared on his right hand.

"What...what are you going to do?"

After realizing what had happened, the male homeowner loudly questioned him.

Lingling's expression instantly returned to that of a normal little adult. She skillfully placed a screenshot in front of the man's eyes, "Qingtian Hunting Grounds, we're here to protect you because your wife is in trouble."

The man looked completely bewildered.

Lin Yu slowly raised his right hand, "Fierce Fist - Heaven-Shattering!"

"boom--"

The silver-blue flames shattered the glass door of the bathroom and flew into the bathroom.

The surrounding air instantly dropped as the flames appeared.

The water vapor in the bathroom condensed into water droplets due to the temperature change, and the scene inside instantly became clear.

There was no one left in the bathroom at this moment, only a human skin with hair on it, which had almost frozen into ice and was emitting a faint silver-blue flame on the ground.

Upon seeing this, the male homeowner quickly picked up his child.

They covered his eyes.

Lin Yu and Lingling frowned deeply. "She ran away?"

Lin Yu looked at Lingling beside him and asked.

Lingling looked serious and quickly swiped through the tablet in her hand. After a moment, she suddenly looked up and said, "Brother Lin Yu, she didn't run away, she's in the bathroom. Be careful."

As soon as the words were spoken, a figure with a green body and red eyes darted out of the bathroom.

"唳——"

With a whistle, the figure charged straight at Lin Yu, moving at great speed.

Lin Yu took a step back, and the seven stars instantly connected, "Fire Burst".

As soon as the voice fell, a silver-blue flame rushed towards the charging scaly demon.

"boom--"

The two collided, and the silver-blue flames instantly exploded, engulfing the Scaled Demon's entire body, while a layer of frost began to spread from her body.

The scaled demon, which had been charging with tremendous force, slowed down.

After a while.

The scaly demon was transformed into an ice sculpture by the extreme cold of the "True Yin Fire," while the silver-blue flames continued to burn within the ice.

Before long, the scaled demon inside the ice layer gradually lost its life force and became completely lifeless.

Seeing this, Lin Yu frowned.

He quickly stepped forward, raised his hand and pressed it onto the ice layer, which began to melt rapidly under the temperature of Lin Yu's "Purple Star Heavenly Fire".

As the ice blocks continued to break and detach, the green scales on the Scaled Demon's body were also peeled off.

"this?"

Upon seeing this, the male homeowner's eyes widened. He quickly ran to the female homeowner's side and casually took off his coat to cover her private parts.

"What exactly is going on?"

The man looked at Lin Yu and Lingling with surprise, his voice trembling slightly.

Lin Yu did not answer him, and his expression was somewhat unpleasant.

The woman's current state should be considered as having eliminated the Scaled Demon.

But what about the spirit? Why is there no spirit? Isn't the woman the demon mother?

Thinking of this, Lin Yu, with a dark expression, slowly squatted down and picked up a piece of skin from the ground to examine it.

He already knew the characteristics of the Scaled Demon, which is why he used the "True Yin Fire." This flame did not directly damage the skin, but Lin Yu noticed that the color of the skin was slightly off.

It's not pure green, but rather mixed with some pale yellow.

Looking at the pale yellow scales in his hand, Lin Yu's heart sank.

Isn't this the color of scales that only parasitized scaly demon soldiers would have?

No wonder this scaly demon didn't run away immediately, but instead charged at me.

I see!!!

But where is the real Demon Mother?

"Brother Lin Yu! Be careful, the male homeowner might be acting strange too!"

Hearing Lingling's shout, Lin Yu suddenly raised his head.

The male homeowner was still holding the female homeowner with both hands, but his scalp had split open from the middle.

Through the gap, one could see skin with bluish-green scales wriggling beneath it.

"Wife? Wife?"

The man looked at the woman in his arms, muttering to himself and calling her by her name.

However, Lin Yu discovered that men's skin peels much faster than women's.

Soon his entire scalp peeled off, revealing a complete bluish-green head.

He slowly turned his head, his eyes glowing red as he glanced at Lin Yu, then suddenly picked up the woman on the ground and opened his mouth to bite her.

Upon seeing this, Lin Yu's expression hardened, and he kicked the man in the back.

The man stumbled, and the woman was thrown heavily to the ground with a muffled groan.

Taking advantage of the opportunity, Lin Yu reconnected with the star, and a ball of silver-blue flame shot out from his right hand once again.

Seeing this, the man stopped attacking the woman and ran towards the French windows of the balcony.

"Damn it, I'm in a really bad mood right now! You think you can just run away?"

"Sizzle & Burst!"

Lin Yu cursed and raised his hand, sending a silver-blue fireball flying towards the man's back.

"boom--"

Like the woman before him, the man was quickly enveloped in silver-blue flames.

His original human skin peeled off even faster in the low temperature, revealing a bluish-green body.

As the ice layer thickened and the temperature dropped, his speed gradually decreased.

Finally, when I got to the balcony, it was completely frozen.

"Brother Lin Yu, is everything resolved?"

"Should I call the city's monster-hunting team?"

At this moment, Lingling came out of a bedroom, looking delighted.

The four-year-old boy had already been led into the bedroom by her.

Hearing Lingling's words, Lin Yu did not reply, and his expression became increasingly grim.

"Lingling, have you noticed any differences between this couple when they transform into demons?"

Lingling frowned upon hearing Lin Yu's words.

She walked to the spot where the woman had shed her skin and become human, picked up a fragment of skin with green scales, and slowly walked to the man on the balcony.

After a brief comparison, she slowly said, "Brother Lin Yu, the colors of these two demon skins are different."

"The green that women shed has a hint of pale yellow, while the green that men shed is bluish-green."

"Is there something wrong with this?"

Lin Yu didn't know how to explain it to Lingling. He thought for a moment and said, "I have a feeling that something is wrong with the woman. Maybe we killed a woman who was infected by a real demon."

"Can you identify their kind by their skin?"

Upon hearing Lin Yu's words, Lingling's expression also became serious.

"Brother Lin Yu, I trust your judgment, but our commission has now come to an end."

"Should we still interfere?"

Lin Yu glanced at Lingling, "Mind your own business."

That was the essence of a parasitic demon at the warrior-level.

It's worth 29 million, but the commission is only a small amount.

"Alright, since Brother Lin Yu is so merciful and wants to investigate thoroughly, I'll go back and try to find any other demons."
