Master Changsheng

Chapter 18: Main Storyline

"Is it difficult?"

After the mission was announced, Ankai wanted to ask, "That's it?!"

He looked at his current screen.

【Level Lv1: 10/10 'Locked'】

[Identity: Nobody.]

When entering the Mage Tower, his four attributes are either 30 or 31 points.

In one hundred days, Ankai has improved to his current level!

The increase is close to 10 points!

Therefore, An Kai was absolutely confident about the mission!

During those hundred days, he didn't just meditate.

He explored the entire room, which was over 100 square meters in size.

He couldn't open the bookshelves where the books were stored, and An Kai guessed it might be because he hadn't completed his task.

Similarly, he couldn't get onto the stairs leading to the second floor either, as they were blocked by a layer of magic.

However, Ankai found the letter that Hanks needed.

The letter was carelessly tossed on the ground. An Kai opened it and looked inside; it was completely blank.

His actions completely disregarded Hanks's warnings...

Unfortunately, despite trying every possible method, the blank paper inside the letter remained unchanged.

Finally, Ankai even used flames to roast it.

According to the plots of the novels he had read in his previous life, words should appear on the letter paper after it was heated by fire.

however…

The paper, scorched by the flames, quickly turned into ashes...

This left An Kai dumbfounded. He never expected that the letter Hanks was so mysteriously searching for would burn so easily!

This is nothing like the plot of the novels he has read!

Fortunately, not far away, there was a stack of papers, just like the blank paper in the letter, scattered haphazardly on the ground...

Ankai pondered for a moment, then took out a sheet, folded it neatly as before, and put it back into the letter…

He then stored it in his storage ring.

……

Besides the letters, Ankai also obtained 58 low-grade magic stones scattered throughout this floor.

He exchanged them for skill points.

Including the skill points he had left, he now has a total of 61 skill points.

Just for these skill points, this trip is worth it!

have a break.

Holding the Meditation Staff, An Kai began his tedious yet hopeful cultivation journey...

After 15 days.

Ankai added the newly acquired attribute points to Intelligence.

【Intelligence: 41】

Intelligence has increased to 41 points, giving you another chance to improve your spells!

An Kai glanced at his skill points.

With a wave of his hand…

Meditation Proficiency +10

Fireball skill proficiency +10

[Freeze skill proficiency +10]

【Meditation Lv5『50/50』】

Fireball Lv5『50/50』

【Freeze Spell Lv5『50/50』】

The reason for upgrading everything was planned by Ankai; for the next upgrade, he would choose to upgrade the Mage Tower.

With 31 skill points remaining, I can allocate them to three more skills and upgrade them all.

After the upgrade, An Kai sensed that with the [Staff of Meditation] in hand, he could gain a new attribute point in just one and a half days!

The time required to acquire attribute points decreases as the time becomes shorter.

Every improvement feels like breaking through a bottleneck.

After the upgrade, An Kai chose to rest for two days before continuing his cultivation!

Cultivation knows no time.

As the food in his storage ring slowly decreased, Ankai's four attribute points were getting closer and closer to 50!

Nearly 150 days later.

An Kai breathed a sigh of relief!

[Attribute Points +1]

He added the newly acquired attribute points to his last attribute, stamina, which was 49.

[Stamina: 50]

The first quest in the Abandoned Mage Tower has been completed.

[The Abandoned Mage Tower Inheritance Quest 2: Unlocked at Intelligence 100.]

[Task prompt: Reach 100 Intelligence points to enter the second level of training.]

A new task has emerged.

On the first floor of the Mage Tower, a wave of energy surged as Ankai completed his mission.

All those magical restrictions have disappeared!

An Kai smiled broadly and took all the books off the bookshelves!

If you feel you can't see something temporarily, put it in your storage ring.

Put the useful ones aside and look at them later.

But after An Kai finished making his selection, he was dumbfounded…

He couldn't understand the contents of these books!

It is neither the common language of mainland China nor the Buklin script!

It was a script he had never seen before!

"Looks like we have to go out."

An Kai muttered to himself.

Store these incomprehensible books into your storage ring.

He then chose to continue his seclusion.

He plans to raise his intelligence to 51 points before choosing to leave.

His patience for secluded cultivation has now reached its limit...

One day later.

[Attribute +1]

Ankai added it to his intelligence.

Thus, the three spells were given another chance to be upgraded.

Ankai continued to wave his hand...

Meditation Proficiency +10

Fireball skill proficiency +10

[Freeze skill proficiency +10]

Ankai looked at his newly upgraded control panel.

【Level Lv1: 10/10 'Locked'】

Intelligence: 51 (Initial value: 1)

Endurance: 50 (Initial value: 1)

Stamina: 50 (Initial value: 1)

Strength: 50 (Initial value: 1)

[Talents: Immortality '∞', Mage's Body 'lv1']

【法术：冥想Lv6『60/60』、火球术Lv6『60/60』、冰冻术Lv6『60/60』】

[Identity: Nobody.]

Compared to before I came in, my strength has increased dramatically!

In retrospect, Hanks was his benefactor!

Now, Ankai is preparing to leave the mage tower.

Firstly, he had reached his limit of patience regarding seclusion.

Secondly, there was very little food left, and he had only managed to survive this long by being frugal.

As his attributes improved, his appetite also grew exponentially every day!

I looked around the first floor.

After confirming that everything was empty except for the bookshelves, An Kai walked towards the entrance to the first floor…

Suddenly, he stopped in his tracks.

An Kai's face lit up with surprise!

Because he discovered that the story forum on his system... was open!

Public beta countdown: 9999 years.

[Side Story:]

[1: The Mainland Chinese Buddhist Association Center announces its decision to restart the search for the God of Dharma!]

[2: The Dragon Clan killed four Dragon Knights and issued a threatening statement: Dragon Knights are a profession that insults their dragon race; they will kill every single one they see!]

[3: The civil war in the Duchy of Buklin reached its final stage, with the Fifth Princess being the first to be eliminated. Surrounded by enemies on all sides, her whereabouts are unknown.]

【4...】

After glancing at the three side quests at the top of the list, Ankai was glad he hadn't gone to the capital of the Principality of Buklin!

He knew that the Fifth Princess was unreliable!

The remaining side quests are truly side quests, mostly set in small places that An Kai has never heard of, depicting everyday life and family matters.

Scrolling to the end, An Kai saw only a few main storyline buttons.

Out of curiosity, I chose to open it…

[Main Story 1: First Boss Confirmed: Ankai, a Tier 1, Level 1 Mage from the Desert of the Duchy of Buklin, Chaos City!]

[Identity Introduction: As the most talented mage residing in the realm of the God of Magic, it is most fitting that his blood be used to cleanse the warriors' blades!]
