I am the son of the Dragon God in Douluo Continent.

However, this brief interlude quickly passed, as the countdown to the start of the match had begun. The moment the referee's watch started ticking, the referee, Tian Sha Douluo, officially announced the start of the match.

At the moment the match began, Ma Xiaotao released her martial soul, and six soul rings of yellow, purple, black and white began to appear. Upon seeing this, Ji Juechen took out his Judgment Sword, and at the same time, his six soul rings also began to appear, their color schemes exactly the same as Ma Xiaotao's.

The difference is that Ji Juechen's fifth and sixth soul rings give people a feeling of spirituality, which means that Ji Juechen's two soul rings were not obtained by hunting soul beasts, but were obtained by fusing with soul spirits.

This discovery made Xu Xingyu curious about what kind of soul spirit Ji Juechen had fused with, but considering Ji Juechen's fighting style, she probably wouldn't know the true nature of his soul spirit.

As expected, after releasing his spirit ring, Ji Juechen did not release his martial spirit at all. Instead, he closed his eyes, raised the Judgment Sword in his hand, and began to gather his strength.

At this moment, under the infusion of Ji Juechen's sword intent, the Sword of Judgment became half gold and half black, with a gray line separating the two colors in the middle. This represents the power of light and darkness.

These two forces, which should have been mutually exclusive, are now coexisting in a bizarre manner!

The gray line was Ji Juechen's sword intent; it was through his sword intent that he was able to temporarily allow two mutually repulsive elements to coexist.

Although this state cannot be maintained for long, there is no doubt that the attack power of the sword in his hand is extraordinary.

As the person closest to Ji Juechen, Ma Xiaotao also felt the threat from Ji Juechen. With her Soul Emperor level perception, Ma Xiaotao could clearly feel that if she were hit by that strange longsword, she would definitely be either dead or seriously injured.

Ma Xiaotao truly didn't expect that the Sun Moon Royal Academy had hidden such a trump card! And that they had been able to hold back until now before using it.

If the Sun and Moon team could hear her inner thoughts, they could only smile wryly and think that this guy just thought the opponent was too weak, which is why he hadn't made a move.

The moment Ma Xiaotao realized that Ji Juechen was no ordinary person, she planned to quickly interrupt his power-gathering. After all, if he could feel danger even before he finished, how powerful would he be once he finished?

Wasn't Shrek Academy supposed to be the monster academy? Why does this guy in front of me seem more like a monster than Ma Xiaotao?

Soon, Ma Xiaotao released her two transformation soul skills: the second soul skill Phoenix Reborn in Flames and the third soul skill Phoenix Wings Soaring in the Sky. These skills could enhance the power of the phoenix flames in all attributes, increase the flight speed of the third soul skill, and generate dazzling huge fire wings and phoenix tails on her back, granting her the ability to fly. At the same time, the flame temperature was increased by 100%, and the attack range was increased by 50%.

After completing two transformations, Ma Xiaotao launched her attack. She spewed flames from her mouth, and the blue and red flames formed a straight line that attacked Ji Juechen.

This is Ma Xiaotao's first soul skill, Phoenix Fire Line. With the support of these two transformation soul skills, even this weakest first soul skill has become extraordinary.

However, Ji Juechen remained unmoved in the face of the fire attack, which had reached nearly a thousand degrees Celsius, as if he did not take the attack to heart at all.

Seeing this, the referee, Tian Sha Douluo, began to consider intervening. After all, as the referee, he had to ensure that neither side's contestant would get hurt. However, seeing that the other side had not admitted defeat, Tian Sha Douluo could only wait and see what tricks the other side had up their sleeve.

Just then, his tightly closed eyes suddenly opened, and he silently took his sword, turned the blade towards the Phoenix Fire Line, and made no further moves. It was obvious that he thought that his defense was sufficient.

This made everyone present think about one thing: Is this person mentally unstable? How can you withstand such a huge flame with just a long sword?

However, Xu Xingyu's expression became serious as he noticed that the Sword of Judgment felt sharper for some reason the moment Ji Juechen moved it.

Just when everyone thought that the genius of the Sun and Moon team had gone mad, the flames were split into two straight lines the moment they touched Ji Juechen, leaving a Y-shaped mark on the arena.

Ji Juechen, on the other hand, was completely unharmed!

What on earth happened?! How did Ji Juechen manage to do that?!

Others might not know the answer to this question, but Xu Xingyu, who had been focusing her attention on Ji Juechen, still managed to see through it.

The answer is actually very simple. The reason why Phoenix Fire Line was blocked is that during this process, Ji Juechen kept wrapping his sword intent around the Judgment Sword in his hand, making the already sharp Judgment Sword even sharper, so sharp that it could directly cut the opponent's energy attack in half.

Therefore, the moment the Phoenix Fireline came into contact with the Sword of Judgment, it was like a log being cut by an electric saw, directly splitting from a single flame into two.

It can only be said that such a defensive method is not recommended without sufficient soul power and sword intent, because once the opponent's attack exceeds what the sword can withstand, it is no different from directly taking the opponent's attack with one's bare body.

It was at this moment that Ji Juechen suddenly spoke up: "Is that all you have? If so, then Shrek Academy has disappointed me greatly."

Upon hearing this, Ma Xiaotao, whose temper was already nearing its breaking point, exploded and roared, "You look down on me!"

"You dare look down on Shrek!"

After saying that, Ma Xiaotao began to unleash her flames without restraint. The flames wrapped around her body and eventually formed a huge fire phoenix.

However, Ji Juechen did not respond to such a threatening scene and continued to gather his strength on his own.

Seeing this, Ma Xiaotao also began to prepare her most powerful attack. The flames that had been scattered all over the place began to gather on Ma Xiaotao's body.

As Ma Xiaotao's fifth spirit ring lit up, all the flames gathered in her right arm under her control.

This is a soul power compression technique from Shrek Academy that can amplify the effects of soul skills. As the flames gathered, Ma Xiaotao's fair right arm began to turn charred.

Ji Juechen, who was standing to the side, finally looked at me seriously and said, "It seems I underestimated you. If I don't fight you seriously, I will definitely lose to you."

After saying that, Ji Juechen continued to gather his strength to prepare to unleash his strongest attack, and Ma Xiaotao did the same.

The next strike will determine the outcome of this match.
