Apocalypse: Become stronger by absorbing flames at the start; my name is the Flame Emperor.

On a street, more than a dozen people were frantically fleeing.

They were clearing out small groups of zombies in the alley when the ground suddenly began to shake violently.

They immediately thought of what was mentioned on the forum about the rat infestation in Tianhai City.

as predicted.

In a short while, a massive army of black rats appeared at the end of the street.

They charged through, colliding with thousands of zombies on the street.

"Roar!" The zombies rioted.

After pouncing on the mutated rat, it opened its mouth and bit down, tearing off a large piece of flesh and eating it.

"Squeak!"

The mutated rat was not to be outdone; its sharp claws swept across, instantly severing the zombie's throat.

The mutant rats are faster and have sharper claws.

Zombies are no match for them; it takes several zombies together to take down a single mutated rat.

"Brothers, run! A swarm of rats is coming!" Everyone turned pale with fright and ran for their lives.

Behind them, thousands of zombies were quickly swallowed up, unable to hold them off for long.

"Big brother, there's a huge horde of zombies over there, which way should we run?" someone said, their voice trembling with tears.

"Damn it!" The eldest brother, Ye Su, was filled with despair.

In front of them are zombies, and a huge horde of them at that; behind them are even more ferocious mutated rats.

There's nowhere to escape. What to do?

His mind raced, he looked around, and shouted, "Get on the roof!"

Everyone's eyes lit up, and they used their feet to push off the wall and climb onto the roof of the second floor.

However, it was all in vain.

When the rat swarm arrived, the low buildings collapsed, and the people landed in despair.

next moment.

The black torrent swept past, and they were swallowed up by the swarm of rats before they could even scream.

Similar tragedies are constantly unfolding in various corners of the city's eastern district.

……

Olma.

Lin Yu and his group blocked the stairwell, barely managing to hold back wave after wave of rats.

After Yang Long reinforced the metal.

The entrance to the area that could be reached could only accommodate seven or eight mutated rats attacking at the same time, which gave everyone a temporary respite.

"This can't go on. More and more mutated rats will rush in, and many places will be breached."

Liu Shiyun frowned.

"Unless these people all advance to the first rank and their attributes skyrocket, they won't have a chance to break out. Otherwise, I can't save them," Lin Yu said.

If they wanted to leave, the rat swarm couldn't stop them.

Their speed attribute is very high, much higher than that of a first-tier mutated rat, so it wouldn't be difficult for them to leave if they were determined to.

The speed of the others was all above 150 points, except for little Ru Ke, who was the weakest, but still had 140 points.

Level 10 zombies only have a speed of 55 points, which is not enough to catch up with them.

"Yes, including Yang Long, He Song and other first-tier beasts, as long as they are not entangled by first-tier mutated beasts, it is not difficult for them to leave."

"Those below the first rank will probably have a hard time!"

Lin Yu's eyes flickered, and he said to Yang Long, "Go and tally up how many crystal cores the brothers are still short of reaching the first tier."

"good!"

Yang Long didn't ask any more questions and immediately went to do it.

A moment later, he returned and said, "Boss, there are 27 brothers left. Six of them are at level one, and the other 21 are still at level ten."

"If these 21 people are to advance, 123 more are needed."

These people, more or less, each had accumulated a few crystal cores.

"123 pieces, that's a good number."

Lin Yu is currently at Tier 1, Level 10, and has 32 more stones in his hand.

Although Liu Shiyun and the others also needed it, they weren't in a hurry.

With their current strength, they are capable enough to protect themselves.

"Brother Yu, I still have six unused pills here," Liu Shiyun said first.

She understands Lin Yu best.

"I have seven here too," Ye Piaopiao said.

Without hesitation, Lin Yu took the crystal core and handed it, along with his own 32, to Yang Long.

"Yang Long, here are 45. Get some people to level one first, and I'll figure out what to do with the rest."

"Boss!"

Those around them, who had been listening to their conversation from beginning to end, were all holding back their emotions.

This further strengthened his resolve to follow Lin Yu.

"Alright, stop dawdling. Only those who survive are qualified to continue following me." Lin Yu waved his hand, interrupting everyone's emotional state.

"You all stay here and guard the entrance. I'm going out for a walk."

After giving instructions to the women, he moved swiftly and rushed towards the entrance.

"Pfft"

"Pfft"

All I could hear were the sounds of mutated beasts getting their heads blown off.

He fought his way down, and no mutated rat could stop him; these were nothing but level 10 trash.

In his eyes, they were no different from ants.

"Squeak!"

As soon as they rushed downstairs, countless mutated beasts came to greet them at the main entrance.

"Roar of Flames!"

A terrifying beam of flame shot out, clearing a path.

He rushed out of Olma, activated his reconnaissance skill, and vaguely sensed waves of energy countless times stronger than level ten.

"As expected, there are quite a few first-tier mutated rats."

Lin Yu's figure flashed, like afterimages, shuttling through the swarm of rats.

Not a single mutated rat could touch the hem of his clothes.

In his normal state, his speed of 624 points is already comparable to that of a level 2 mutated rat. These lower-level rats can only be slaughtered by him.

"Pfft!"

A giant rat head flew high into the air.

Lin Yu conjured a 2-meter-long flame blade in his hand, easily severing its head and taking its crystal core.

And so, Lin Yu moved like a ghost through the swarm of rats, targeting only the first-tier ones.

Fortunately, the rat swarm had survived the recent battles and evolved through devouring, and many of them were still at level one.

In a little over an hour, he can kill enough crystal cores he needs.

"Squeak!" A loud squeaking sound of a mouse rang out.

Then a dark shadow rushed straight at them.

This mutated rat was much larger and its aura was much stronger.

It bared its teeth, its mouth dripping with blood, its two rows of teeth like steel nails, gleaming with a chilling light.

"Second tier!"

Lin Yu's eyes lit up.

You choose the path to heaven but refuse to take it, while you insist on coming to hell when there is no way out.

What he lacks most right now is, isn't it second-order crystal cores?
