Chapter 104 Women

After leaving the hospital, Ian went back to Deer Street first.

His mother had already prepared dinner for him.

After dinner, Ian changed his clothes and went out.

Mrs. Carl looked at her son: "Are you going to get the news today? Another gangland feud?"

Ian asked in surprise, "How did you know, Mom?"

Mrs. Carl said in a low voice, "Denim is durable, dirt-resistant, cheap, and you won't feel bad if it gets burned. Every time you wear this out, there's bound to be big news, and it'll be in red."

She's a mother after all!

Although his mother didn't ask much about his affairs, she had always been quietly concerned about him.

Ian shrugged, thought for a moment, and then put on a black trench coat.

This has that Godfather vibe, even though the denim outfits in it seem a bit out of place.

Then he went over, hugged his mother, and gently kissed her forehead: "I know you're worried about me, but don't worry, Mom, I'll be fine."

The gentle words of comfort calmed the mother's emotions.

Ian stepped out of the house, where a black sedan was already parked.

Kripps drove Ian himself, taking him away.

The car drove through the city and stopped at a desolate, deserted street.

Go past here, and you'll be in MS13's territory.

Thanks to the relentless efforts of the gangsters, this neighborhood has become desolate and lonely, with wads of paper scattered everywhere.

On the overhead telephone pole, someone's sneakers were hanging, and in the distance, in front of the houses, broken doors and windows revealed occasional traces of gunshot wounds.

Three of the four streetlights were off, with only one casting a dim yellow glow in the distance.

Ian sat in the car looking into the distance. Several black men covered in tattoos stood at the door, amusing themselves, and occasionally prostitutes could be seen soliciting customers on the street.

Taking out his phone, Ian said, "I've arrived."

Leso's voice came from the other end of the phone: "I've arrived too. I see your car. The cameras are in place."

"No need to film now, come over after I've taken care of this."

"clear."

Ian put away his phone, took out a camera and hung it around his neck, then took a bowler hat from the car.

Few people wear this kind of hat anymore, which gives Ian a strange sense of retro style.

Getting out of the car, he said to Kreps, "You leave here first and wait for Leso's call."

As he spoke, he walked toward a corner.

Once in the shadows, Ian first made sure Kreps had left before looking out onto the street.

In the perspective image, everyone is vividly present in the field of vision.

Their extensive tattoos give them an immediate impression of being fierce, wild, and bloodthirsty, making them much easier to remove.

Just as Ian was about to charge forward with his gun, he suddenly paused, "Huh?"

A familiar woman flashed by in my field of vision.

"Is it her?"

--------

In the darkness, Catherine was making her way carefully.

Her target was the large house in the middle of the street, and laughter could be faintly heard coming from behind the closed curtains.

Catherine carefully made her way to the vicinity of the house, jumped into the yard, and then came to a window.

With the gun in hand, she approached the wall step by step until she crossed the yard and arrived at a basement next door.

Catherine put away her gun and went to lift the wooden door to the basement; thankfully, the door wasn't locked.

After lifting the door, Catherine took out a flashlight, holding it in her left hand and a gun in her right, and continued walking step by step.

After descending the stairs, a wide-open space came into view.

The basement was dug out to be extremely large, even containing two rooms, and the faint sound of a woman crying could be heard from behind one of the doors.

Hearing the crying, Catherine rushed to open the door, only to find it locked.

Fortunately, there was a crowbar nearby. She picked it up and pried at the door. The noise outside clearly made the person inside tense, and the crying stopped.

Catherine pried open the door with all her might, and in the light of her flashlight, she could see several girls crouching inside in terror.

"Shh!" Catherine held up her finger.

She said, "I've come to save you. Come with me."

A young woman looked at her in terror: "Don't kill us, this has nothing to do with us!"

Catherine was speechless: "I told you I came to save you!"

Then a voice came from behind: "She wasn't talking to you."

Catherine turned her head sharply and saw a huge fist coming straight at her.

………………

Wow!

A basin of water was poured over Catherine's head, and she slowly woke up.

The latest novel is first published here!

The cannons overhead swayed, and several black faces were grinning at her.

Catherine finds herself in a room with her hands tied, surrounded by tattooed Black people.

They were drinking, doing drugs, and some were embracing women and telling jokes.

Two large black men lifted Catherine up. Behind the desk directly opposite, a large black man with a flat face was sitting there wearing a sharp suit.

The enormous gold watch gleamed brightly, and he was smoking a cigar.

He looked at Catherine with a smile: "You shouldn't have come, Miss Catherine."

Catherine took a deep breath: "I'm a police officer! Mad Git, you better know what you're doing!"

Jitter frowned in displeasure: "I hate this nickname. My friends usually call me Jitter. Of course, you're not my friend, but I can forgive you."

As he spoke, he took out a white handkerchief, wiped his mouth, and said, "Most of the time we don't want to deal with the police; after all, we all have our own duties. Mutual respect is the way to get along. But you crossed the line!"

Catherine yelled, "You scum, let those women go!"

"They're my source of wealth. You know, it took me a lot of effort to acquire these top-quality women," Jett said, shaking his head. "A single woman can earn me at least tens of thousands of dollars a night. But you know what's the key? The key is that those who can spend tens of thousands of dollars are all big shots. When you provide services to them, you also gain leverage over them, which allows them to protect you."

He laughed smugly, "Only fools care about how much money they can make on a deal! You have to see the underlying value! Those unseen profits are your most valuable resource!"

As he spoke, he stood up, looked at Catherine, and said with a regretful expression, "I know you have an FBI father, and you're quite skilled. It's such a waste for a woman like you to be a police officer!"

He roared, "As a woman, all you need to do is learn how to please a man in bed. Why waste your talents? Do you know that's why I can't send you to serve those big shots? Because I'm worried you'll bite off their 'brothers'!"

As he spoke, he muttered, "But maybe I could consider blinding you, cutting off your tongue, and smashing your teeth. Some people just like imperfect beauty."

Catherine was stunned.

How could someone say such a beastly thing?

Then he crouched down, pinched Catherine's chin, and said with a smile, "But before that, you have to tell me how you knew there was new stock arriving today?"

Catherine glared at Git without saying a word.

This disappointed Jitter.

He shook his head and said, "There are always people who use my money to betray me, which is very wrong. Give me his name, and maybe I can keep your body intact. Otherwise, I'll chop off your fingers and tongue, and then shove a red-hot branding iron down there."

Catherine trembled with shock.

She once thought of herself as someone who was fearless in the face of death for justice, but at this moment, she was truly afraid.

She shook her head repeatedly: "I didn't get the information from you; I'm keeping an eye on the Crippled Gang."

"The Cripples Gang?" Jitter asked in surprise. "Are they watching me?"

Suddenly remembering something, Gitte paused, "Ian Karl... Fuck! Is he really going to war with me? This isn't like last time, this is MS territory!"

He stood up abruptly and looked at Catherine: "Are they making a move tonight?"

Catherine didn't speak, but her eyes said it all.

Jitter yelled, "Gather everyone immediately!!!"

Just as the shout rang out, bang!

The light bulb suddenly went out, plunging everything around us into darkness.

A frenzied barrage of gunfire erupted, and the entire block was instantly engulfed in flames and screams.
