Chapter 131 Will Be Forever Recorded in History
Chapter 131 Forever Recorded in History (Part 1)
Inside the cockpit, Shawna was still familiarizing herself with the instrument panel, while Ian sat in the passenger seat, learning alongside Shawna and providing assistance when necessary.
Both of them were very smart, and they quickly figured out the general situation. The rest was up to them to figure out how to proceed.
Don't expect to improvise; you can only follow the instructions from the control tower step by step, and then pray for God's blessing.
Messages kept coming in from the control tower.
Three passenger planes have already crashed, with the third hitting a corner of the Pentagon.
Flight 77 was the fourth and final one.
Now everyone knows that this flight also crashed, and countless eyes are on it.
The phone rang.
It's James Peley.
His tone was solemn and serious: "You're on a plane?"
"Hmm." Ian smiled. "It's alright, the bandits have been dealt with. Now we just need to worry about landing. Our beautiful new captain is getting used to this big guy."
James Perry took a deep breath: "I don't know what to say."
Ian said, "Then let's not say anything and get ready for the live broadcast."
This time it's not a pre-recorded broadcast, but a live broadcast.
As for Leso, he didn't do a live stream either; instead, he sent the footage directly to his email address after filming.
"What did you say?" James Perry asked, bewildered.
Ian laughed and said, "I once said that even if I fell from a great height, I would still smile as I faced the microphone, and now it's time for me to keep my promise."
James Peley took a deep breath.
After a while, he said, "Ian Carl, I admire you! I'll arrange for the signal to be connected right away."
Ian smiled and stood up, asking Shauna, "How much longer do we have enough fuel to fly?"
Shauna replied, "Four hours."
Ian nodded: "We still have time, how about you do an interview with me?"
The control tower called out, "Don't waste time, Ian Carl! She needs to dedicate all her time and energy to learning how to operate the aircraft!"
Ian said dismissively, "A few more minutes won't make a difference. Personally, I sometimes think mindset is more important than technique. Don't make her nervous, okay?"
The control tower quickly shut down.
After a while, the person on the other end said, "You're right."
At this point, the signal was already connected to CBS.
CBS and WND News all began broadcasting the event live, with anchors sitting in front of the camera saying:
"Breaking news. Just thirty minutes ago, three planes crashed into the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, but the target has hijacked a total of four passenger planes. Fortunately, the crew and passengers of Flight 77 received the news in time and intervened to stop the hijackers. However, due to the death of the pilot, the plane is currently unmanned and is being piloted by a flight attendant."
"Our special correspondent Ian Carl is on the plane right now, and he will send us a live report from the scene."
As the host switched the connection, Ian Carr and Shawna appeared on camera.
Ian cleared his throat and smiled, "Ms. Shauna, I'm Ian Carr, a special correspondent for CBS. I'm about to interview you, and this may be our last interview. Do you have anything to say about it?"
Shauna carefully examined the flight manual while simultaneously checking the instrument panel and control sticks, and casually remarked, "You're a hero, Mr. Carl."
Ian laughed and said, "I'm asking how you feel."
Shauna replied, "That's my opinion."
She put down the flight manual and turned to the camera: "When the hijackers made their move, it was Mr. Carl who took the initiative to stop them. He also led us into the cockpit and dealt with all five hijackers. Otherwise, we might have already crashed into the White House."
She paused for a moment, then continued, "But none of that matters anymore. What truly makes him a hero is his courage. Even in that situation, he remained completely calm. He was the one who showed us what to do, calming everyone down. Cameraman, please point the camera at the cabin!"
The photographer turned to the cabin, where most of the passengers sat pale-faced, and a doctor was bandaging the wounds of a previously injured passenger…
The camera then pans back to Shawna, who says, "See? Everyone is sitting quietly. As an experienced flight attendant, I have to tell you, this is no easy feat. The scariest thing on a plane is panic and chaos, and after what just happened, everyone was terrified. It was Mr. Carl who gave us courage. His extraordinary courage inspired us all, allowing us to stand up to the criminals, to remain calm even in the most desperate moments of our lives, and to have light in the darkness."
Then she looked at Ian: "Mr. Carl, you should interview the passengers in the cabin and ask them to leave messages for their families."
Ian smiled. "I will, that's a good suggestion. And you? Don't you want to say anything?"
Shauna gently shook her head: "I don't have much to say. Right now, I just want to get familiar with flying the plane as soon as possible."
Ian asked, "Then I'll ask you one last question. If we survive, what will you do?"
The latest novel is first published here!
Shauna thought about it seriously and said, "I want to make love with you."
Ian: "???"
Shauna nodded earnestly: "You're my hero, and sleeping with you is my biggest dream right now. Can you say yes?"
So Ian Karl laughed too.
He looked at the camera and said, "I accept your invitation!"
Countless people watched the interview in front of their televisions and computers.
Their hearts were clenched with anxiety at that moment.
Faced with this life-or-death moment, all the audience members were tense and fearful for them, but the person involved showed a great calm and composure in the face of danger.
This is perhaps the immense courage that people unleash in moments of life and death.
Ian didn't ask anything further, but instead asked the photographer, "What's your name?"
"Daniel," the photographer replied.
Ian said, "Show your face, leave a message for your family, and people will remember you."
Daniel then faced the camera, thought for a moment, and tried to compose himself, saying, "Sandy, I'm so sorry for how I treated you yesterday. I know I've neglected you, this family, and the children over the years... but I've really been working hard. I've tried my best to make our family better, but unfortunately, I may not be able to."
Tears streamed down his face and also welled up in Shawna's eyes.
Daniel said softly, "But I'm glad to have met Mr. Carl. Although we may be flying to heaven, at least our deaths are no longer meaningless. We defeated those terrorists, and we averted a greater catastrophe..."
History will remember us, and this moment will be forever etched in history!
His voice choked with emotion as he spoke, and he lowered his head, saying, "That's all I wanted to say. Let's give others a chance to leave a message."
So Sean and Daniel got out of the cockpit.
They went into the cabin and began interviewing the passengers one by one, comforting them and letting them leave messages for their families on camera.
