Chapter 158 contains all wrong answers.

An hour later, Ian returned to the banquet hall in his new clothes.

The banquet was not over yet, and the bigwigs were sitting in twos and threes talking.

Seeing Ian approach, Bertram Rick raised his glass to him: "Hey, Ian, where have you been? Gaskell said you had something to do."

As soon as he finished speaking, he noticed Olivia behind Ian, instantly understood, and smiled, "Looks like you really are busy."

Ian looked around them; the sofas were already occupied.

Howard glared at his assistant, who immediately stood up.

Howard said, "Sit here, Ian."

Howard and Harvey Weinstein are now under Ian's control, but in crowded situations, they still have to maintain their composure and don't appear too submissive.

Ian sat down on the sofa next to Howard, while Olivia automatically sat down in a chair behind Ian.

During that hour of pleasure, she didn't make any requests of Ian, but she didn't leave either, trying to let everything take its natural course.

Ian smiled and said to Bertramlick, "Just taking a break from my busy schedule. Olivia is a good girl; I heard she's with you now?"

She's really good, has a great figure, and most importantly, is proactive and positive.

Girls who actively seduce you are usually very conscious of this; they will do their best to fulfill your requests.

As an attitude determinist, Ian Carr believed that attitude is more important than skill, since skill can be cultivated.

Bertrandrick laughed and said, "Oh, I don't know much about it either."

Ian turned to look at Olivia, who whispered, "I haven't signed with an agency yet. I'm currently working with one of Mr. Rick's producers. She's been nice to me and brought me here to see the world... I hope this won't upset her."

Ian understood; it meant that Olivia's current actions were not approved by the producer.

If she fails to seduce Ian Karl, he won't do anything to her, but the producer will be very unhappy with her...

what!

The clever girl is implying that she is in dire straits and needs a prince charming to rescue her.

Ian laughed and said, "It's nothing."

He said to Bertram Rick, "Give her to me, Rick, and go lock the bridge."

Bertram laughed and said, "No problem, it's nothing. But Ian, Lockbridge isn't a brokerage firm. I suggest you set up a professional brokerage firm; that would be more appropriate."

Bertrandrick, now, has lost the arrogance he once had when facing Ian.

In 00, he ignored Ian; in 01, Ian became his equal; and this year, Ian Carr is a major shareholder of CBS, a figure who can stand shoulder to shoulder with his boss.

Olivia is worthless now, so he wouldn't say anything nonsense for her, or even ask for a price for it, let alone offer good advice.

Moreover, Ian's influence is terrifying. Fortunately, he is not good at film and television production, so he can focus his attention on artist management, which is good for everyone!

After all, Hollywood has no shortage of beautiful women.

Ian nodded: "I'm considering that, but setting up a company is too much trouble. Maybe it would be better to just buy one."

Rick asked, "Have you found a suitable target?"

"Still considering it," Ian said casually.

Harvey Weinstein immediately said, "You could consider buying UTA."

UTA?

Ian was stunned.

Howard, standing nearby, added, "Yes, UTA has been seeking partnerships with television networks. You're a major shareholder in CBS, so you can help them. With your influence, it shouldn't be a problem."

Since it was his two dogs who said it, Ian had no reason to doubt it.

He beckoned gently, and his secretary, Ida, came over.

Ian said, "Tell Chatham I need specific information about UTA."

The secretary made a note of it and turned to leave.

They chatted casually for a while, and when they realized that time was running out, Ian said goodbye to everyone.

When Olivia left, she wanted to go back with Ian, but he refused.

He kissed Olivia lightly: "I'll contact you if I need anything. Oh, by the way, here's your number. His name is Dan, and he's the head of Lockbridge Pictures. For now, your agency contract will go to Lockbridge. I'll transfer it to them once I take over the agency. Also, go back and thank your producer. You can't be ungrateful."

Olivia obediently replied, "Yes, boss."

She embraced Ian, gave him a long, deep kiss, and then left.

This scene, witnessed by many of the girls attending the banquet, evoked envy and jealousy in them.

Just one drink and he's climbed to a higher social status!

Learned!

………………

After leaving the hotel, Ian did not take a car, but walked slowly through the streets of Los Angeles, with Brideson following behind in his car.

The nights in Los Angeles are always a mix of desolation and prosperity, and under the first snow of winter, they take on an even more bleak and melancholic feel.

Ian enjoys this leisurely and carefree life, thanks to his long-standing habit of taking walks.

As Ian walked, leaving the wealthy area, he gradually came to a desolate street.

The area is deserted, except for various graffiti painted on the streets.

It was too cold, and there weren't many homeless people on the streets.

Ian shrank his neck inside his coat.

Then he stopped in the street and said, "You can come out now."

From the dark corner, several men slowly emerged, their faces covered with red scarves and holding guns. Two of them pointed their guns at Brideson.

One of them said, "Ian Karl, you're very quick-witted."

Ian smiled. "Who sent you?"

The leader whispered, "You yourself. You said you welcomed others to kidnap you."

The latest novel is first published here!

Ian smiled.

He shook his head: "But not this model."

"What did you say?" the other person asked in surprise.

Ian casually remarked, "A simple kidnapping is meaningless; we need to add something else. Do you have anything?"

The burly man at the head of the group let out a low laugh and pointed his gun at Ian's forehead: "We're here to kidnap you, not to help you make a news story, buddy."

Ian was amused.

He spread his hands: "No cooperation, no money. Here's a suggestion: leave here now and do whatever you want, like murder or arson. My men will film it. If you manage to escape, I'll contact you and give you the money you deserve."

The other person asked doubtfully, "Are you really not afraid of death, Ian Karl?"

Ian chuckled. "No, it's just that you lack the power to bring me death. Now, answer me: are you willing to accept my arrangements?"

The burly man at the head of the group glared angrily at Ian.

He pointed his gun at Ian's forehead: "I want to see if I really can't bring you death."

He pulled the trigger, but nothing happened.

Ian raised an eyebrow: "You actually fired? Idiot!"

Without another word, he deftly drew his gun.

Bang bang bang!

Amidst the continuous gunfire, the bandits fell one after another.

As they lay dying, their eyes were wide open, mostly fixed on the guns in their hands.

Why can't I turn on the stove?

Ian glanced coldly at the corpses.

Oh shit!

You could have done a good job with the news, but you don't know how to cooperate at all!

Bridexson leaned out of the car: "The dashcam recorded it all."

After putting away his gun, Ian silently returned to his car.

His face was solemn: "There's no value in this trashy news. If people know I fought back, it will discourage other kidnappers from trying to kidnap me. I'll just keep it as evidence that I acted in self-defense... if the Los Angeles Police Department can find me."

My anger grew stronger.

What a great news opportunity, wasted because of the other party's stupidity.

I hate idiots who don't understand how to make money through cooperation!

"Okay, boss." Brideson started the car.

After thinking for a moment, he said, "May I ask how you canceled their insurance?"

Ian sat in the car, eyes closed, resting: "Two answers. One, they forgot to turn it on. Two, magic."

Bledson shook his head: "They're all wrong answers."

He floored the gas pedal and drove off with a flourish.
