Chapter 299 Insider

Chapter 299 Insider (Part 2)

Inside the Mirak Bank, several robbers emerged from the office and opened a box placed next to the lobby.

Sure enough, they were all wearing the same clothes, and even had hoods.

Are you sure this is the kind of merchandise that someone from a clothing store would carry?

But there was no time to think.

Several robbers shouted for everyone to go into the inner room, change clothes, put on hoods, and dress everyone up like them.

Ian Carl is the only exception.

In his own words, anyone who sees me knows me, so there's no need to hide it.

After herding all the hostages into their respective rooms, Jerry called Ian over and asked, "What do we do now?"

Ian then gave a general account of the insider's story, which was nothing more than making up a story, deliberately letting the criminals blend in with the hostages and get beaten up, and then tearing off their hoods to enhance the impression in the minds of the other hostages...

Jerry nodded repeatedly, "Great idea!"

Ian then slowly said, "By the way, since we're going to be at a standoff with the police anyway, why not just rob the vault and safe?"

Jerry Riel was taken aback: "We can't take it with us."

"Not necessarily," Ian chuckled. "At least one person here doesn't have to worry about being suspected and can leave openly and honestly."

Jerry looked at him blankly: "You..."

Ian chuckled and nodded. "Yes, me!"

Jerry Riel was dumbfounded: "Are you kidding me? We're robbing you, and you get the stuff?"

Ian sat at his desk, leisurely making himself coffee, while nudging the desk next to him with his chin: "President Fairbairn is right next door. I killed him with my own hands. You can take pictures as evidence, and once everyone is safe, you can ask me for money. I'll give you far more than that."

Jerry was speechless for a moment.

"He's right," said Ambridge, who was standing nearby.

His job was to cooperate, help Jerry become more interested, and reduce the cost of hypnosis for Ian.

Support from one's own people is obviously more convincing.

Jerry thought for a moment and nodded: "Did you bring your camera?"

Ian smiled and pointed to the surveillance camera above his head: "No need for cameras. I killed someone, you can just go to the surveillance room and retrieve the evidence."

"Then it's settled." Jerry rushed out and quickly brought back President Fairbairn.

He ripped off the other person's hood.

He emptied his gun down to just one bullet, handed it to Ian, and simultaneously pointed the other gun at Ian's head: "Kill him!"

President Fairbairn looked at Ian in alarm: "Mr. Carl!"

Ian Carl looked at Fairbairn with sympathy.

He just deposited a large sum of important documents at Mirak Bank today and signed a compensation contract worth up to 300 million. Given how bizarre everything happened, even if the old man is shrewd, he will figure it out in the future, if not now.

Therefore, he must die!

Anyway, he's Jewish and he schemed against me, so there's nothing to sympathize with.

Ian grabbed the gun and pointed it at the old man: "Sorry, I had no choice."

boom!

He fired his gun.

The old man's body trembled, and he collapsed on the spot.

The gunshots put the police outside on high alert. Catherine, holding a megaphone, shouted, "Listen up, you guys inside..."

It's nothing more than the same old rhetoric.

Ian handed the gun back to Jerry: "Satisfied now? Throw the body out, tell them you want a car and ten million, or kill everyone. They'll definitely stall for time, and we'll take the opportunity to rob the vault and safe."

Jerry nodded excitedly: "It's settled then!"

He dragged the body away, and all the hostages screamed in terror along the way.

Jerry flung open the bank doors, threw the body out, and yelled, "Send a car and ten million over immediately, or we'll kill everyone! This is the evidence!"

As he spoke, he closed the door.

There were still four robbers at the scene. Two of them were left to guard the hostages, while Jerry and Ambridge had begun to break into the safe.

Unfortunately, they didn't have an axe, making it difficult to solve.

Seeing how much effort they were putting into smashing it, Ian shook his head and sighed, "They have the key."

As he spoke, he raised his hand, and a bunch of keys were already in his hand.

He had just gone in to store it once, so he knew very well who had the key.

Jerry and Ambridge looked at each other, then shrugged in silence.

One by one, the safes were opened and all the contents were put into their bags.

Ian sorted the goods on the side.

He wrapped up the items in each cabinet individually, labeled them with numbers, and took photos of them so that it would be easier to find the owners later when inventorying them.

Occasionally, there would be some shady things, which Ian would pick up and look through, revealing a knowing smile.

Time passed second by second.

Police were watching the bank from outside, and the entire street was completely blocked.

Catherine held the gun and stared coolly at the bank until a police car pulled up.

The newly appointed director, Bellman, walked over and stood beside Catherine: "How's the situation?"

Catherine replied, "There are four kidnappers and over forty hostages. They killed the bank manager. Now they're making demands..."

Bellman was completely bewildered.

He was appointed bank manager right away?

However, upon hearing that Ian Karl was also inside, he was completely dumbfounded: "Ian Karl? What's he doing in there?"

Catherine shrugged. "How should I know? Maybe she went to deposit money."

Berman was speechless: "He himself is a major shareholder of First Linuo!"

Catherine sneered, "So what? Who says he can't deposit money in Miraak? The problem is there are many hostages inside; we can't just storm in."

The latest novel is first published here!

Bellman sighed, "Maybe you should have let them leave first, then there wouldn't be a hostage problem."

Catherine sneered: "So it's wrong for me to arrive the fastest?"

Bellman shook his head speechlessly, while giving Catherine a strange look.

He knew about the relationship between Catherine and Ian Carl, and because of this, he always had a bad feeling about it, but he didn't have time to worry about it in the current situation, so he could only say, "Let's go find a negotiation expert first."

Catherine shook her head: "I don't think that's a good idea."

Why?

Catherine sneered, "Don't you know Ian Carl? Where he is, there's no need for negotiation experts; he himself is the negotiation expert. Guess what he'll do?"

Bellman suddenly realized: "He can negotiate with those robbers and make decisions for us? Maybe he'll even request on-site interviews?"

Catherine chuckled: "That's right!"

"Fuck! I hate this, this is the police's job!"

"But you don't want to provoke him, do you?" Catherine said.

Bellman was speechless.

He had dealt with Ian quite a bit in the past two years, and he knew very well what kind of person Ian Carl was.

He knew even more about the relationship between Catherine and Ian.

Hearing Catherine say this, a strange feeling suddenly arose in Behrman's heart.

He stared blankly at Catherine: "And then? What's your suggestion?"

Catherine replied, "Wait!"

"wait?"

"Yes," Catherine said confidently, "Ian Carl will definitely come out and talk to us. I believe he has the ability to do so. Things will be resolved then."

Bellman took a long breath.

However, the fact that he could become the bureau chief shows he was a smart man: "We have to do something."

Catherine smiled: "Yes, just wait for the news."

Bellman muttered softly, "I think you're the one who should be the chief...maybe you will be soon!"

Catherine smiled slightly, turned around and walked away into the distance.

Walking through the street and past the police cordon, Catherine came into a small alley.

A news gathering van was parked there.

The car door opened, and Van Nistel and Brideson were sitting inside, fiddling with the monitor.

Catherine sat down and looked at the monitor, asking, "How's the situation?"

Van Nistel laughed, "We're still opening the safe, then the vault. That should be done within an hour."

"The vault is difficult to open; it requires a password."

"The boss said he doesn't need it."

Catherine was speechless: "I didn't know he was also good at picking locks."

Bledson said meaningfully, "He knows more than you can imagine."

Catherine leaned against the carriage wall and gently shook her head: "I still can't understand him. He's already made so much money, yet he still wants to rob people."

Bledson laughed, "He's just interested in the news. A failed robbery isn't good news! He'll return the money, and nobody will be hurt except the Jews."

Catherine then said, "But it will be under the guise of him taking over Mirac Bank to assume all its debts, right?"

Bledson laughed: "You know him very well."
