American Gossip King

Chapter 314 Monica Bellucci

William Morrison Hotel.

In the bar on the second floor of the hotel, Ian hurried in and said to the bartender, "A bottle of gin, buddy."

The bartender, seeing it was Ian Carl, smiled and said, "Yes, sir."

A moment later, Ian casually found a seat by the window with his gin, took a sip, and chuckled, "It's alright, not that bad."

Although it was late, there were still some people in the bar, chatting idly.

Quite a few people recognized Ian; some came over to say hello, while many more tactfully raised their glasses to him from afar.

Ian smiled and nodded in acknowledgment.

Just then, a beautiful woman with long hair walked in from outside the bar. She looked around and her gaze fell on Ian, her eyes lighting up slightly.

Then she walked straight toward Ian.

Upon seeing the other person, Ian smiled as well.

He stood up and said, "Mrs. Cassel, it's a pleasure to meet you."

The beautiful woman in front of you is none other than Monica Bellucci, known as the "Earth's Flower," and her husband is actor Vincent Cassel.

This beauty is now 37 years old. Time has worn away her most beautiful youth, but she still retains her charm and is unforgettable.

Ian and she had met a few times in Hollywood and were fairly familiar with each other.

At this moment, Ian asked Monica Bellucci to sit down, saying, "I didn't expect you to come to New York."

Monica Bellucci answered naturally, "It's some business stuff. I have some investments on Wall Street."

This is not surprising; many people in Hollywood have investments on Wall Street, but most of them have ended up badly.

To put it another way, once a person becomes rich and famous, they will inevitably be surrounded by a group of special people.

These special individuals include insurance brokers, financial advisors, legal counsel, yacht salesmen, and so on... Their sole purpose is to take money from your pocket and put it into their own.

Among all the wealthy people, Hollywood stars and sports stars are the easiest to fool!

Business tycoons have their own brains and plans; don't bother me with your financial management stuff, I know more about it than you do. Even so, business tycoons still have a lot of sycophants, and some of them still fall for their tricks.

Fortunately, Ian is clear-headed. The key is that he can see through things, so many things done in secret cannot be hidden from him. Therefore, there are very few people like that around him, which is also a key factor in his ability to stay clear-headed!

However, celebrities in the entertainment and sports industries don't rely on brains or knowledge to make money, so many people are easily scammed... It's like a group of people revolving around you, all eyeing you, and conspiring to swindle you out of your money.

Michael Tyson, Evander Holyfield, Nicolas Cage, Anthony Walker, Lindsay Lohan, and a host of others went bankrupt because of overspending and foolish investments… the latter being particularly egregious.

Ian wasn't concerned about Monica Bellucci's investment, especially since something was going to happen soon, so he simply said, "Investment involves risk, and financial management requires caution."

Monica Bellucci smiled and said, "That's precisely why I'm sitting here. Mr. Carl, you're a financial magnate; perhaps you could offer me some guidance?"

How the hell did I become a financial tycoon?

Even though my investment business is now larger than my media business, my core business is still media!

It can only be said that people like Monica Bellucci, while being fooled, can also fool others.

A world where everyone is deceiving each other.

Ian smiled and said, "I think you should ask an expert about this. I'm just an investor and I'm not good at financial management."

"But your investments are performing well, Google, and in China, your return on investment is increasing rapidly."

Ian was taken aback.

Don't you know a little too much about me?

It's one thing to know that I invest in companies like Google, but how come they even know about my investments in China?

Ian replied calmly, "It was just luck. By the way, how's it going in Hollywood?"

Monica Bellucci didn't press further, only saying, "The Matrix Revolutions will be released in October. I just finished filming Passion of the Christ, and I might go to Italy in a while."

She looked at Ian with a puzzled expression.

Is he really not interested in me?

Americans aren't as picky about age as Chinese people are. Although they also like young girls, someone like Monica Bellucci is still within their hunting range, so most of the time, men are still chasing after her—as for marriage, what is that?

But Ian Carr isn't that interested in this football star right now.

He checked his phone; the text message had arrived, which meant the person would be there soon.

Time is running out.

So he said calmly, "Going back to Italy is not bad either; America is too dangerous."

Monica Bellucci: "..."

After a while, she said, "It seems I've got the wrong person. I'm sorry to bother you."

Ian smiled slightly.

It was almost time, and Saddam Hussein had already appeared downstairs.

So he waited for Monica Bellucci to leave.

To his dismay, Monica Bellucci did not leave immediately.

She sat there, looking at Ian with a questioning look in her beautiful eyes: "Do I really have absolutely no appeal to you?"

If only you were ten years younger.

Of course, Ian wouldn't say that, and besides, even at 37, he still has charm and a unique appeal.

That works!

The latest novel is first published here!

The problem is, I'm really not in the mood right now.

Ian picked up his glass and casually said, "Business is business, and I won't let other factors affect my business."

As he spoke, he looked at the stairs not far away.

Saddam is coming up, you can leave now, madam!

Seeing Ian's cold gaze, Monica Bellucci sighed helplessly, "Fine."

She picked up her bag and turned to leave.

Her steps were not fast, and her swaying waist displayed her captivating figure.

Just then, a man wearing a felt hat entered from the second-floor stairwell.

He glanced slightly up at the bar, and in that instant, Monica Bellucci saw his face and was momentarily stunned: "How is this possible? A character actor?"

As she spoke, she actually walked towards Saddam Hussein.

Saddam couldn't find Ian at first glance, but then he saw Monica Bellucci walking towards him. He shoved her aside impatiently, saying, "Get out of here!"

Monica Bellucci was pushed to the ground by him and shouted angrily, "What are you doing?"

The commotion instantly drew the attention of those around them, who were all stunned when they saw Saddam.

what's going on?

Monica Bellucci, still unaware that the other person was real, stood up and angrily shouted, "You're so rude!"

Saddam is still looking at the bar.

Clark said he was drinking at a bar at that time.

Suddenly he saw a young man looking at him from the corner by the window.

Ian Karl!

It's him!

Saddam suddenly drew his gun and fired at Ian.

There was a pillar where Ian was sitting, and he leaned back and hid behind it.

Gunfire erupted, but the seasoned Americans, unlike the Chinese who would rush out to watch the commotion upon hearing the gunfire, immediately lay down on the ground.

Monica Bellucci was so shocked she was speechless.

The bullet grazed her face as it flew out.

"Ah!" she screamed, the most terrifying scream she had ever heard.
