Chapter 90 MS Visit (Part 2)
in the car.
Gitte stared coldly at him: "You really believe that a reporter lurking in the shadows will make me let you go? You betrayed me, you obtained the evidence, you released the information about Inez Kiza, which you got from me. You lied, you seriously hurt me! You must die!"
Ian shrugged. "Don't worry, I didn't have any reporters filming behind me this time. But I don't think you're going to kill me. Inez Kiza is finished. Why get angry over trash? A decent businessman doesn't think like that."
Gitt pressed the gun against Ian's head: "I'm not a businessman, Ian Carl. The point is, some of my partners don't trust me anymore; they know it's a deal I'm facilitating!"
Ian laughed. "But you still want money, right? How much do you need? I can give it to you."
Jitter was stunned.
Ian looked at his expression and laughed, "You're tempted? So don't talk nonsense, buddy. As long as you still want money, you're a businessman."
He looked at Gitte, his tone calm: "I'm Ian Karl. Do you know how much of a stir killing me would cause? Even gangs have their limits. You can't threaten someone like me with your life. Cooperation is the smart thing to do!"
Just then, Ian's phone rang.
Ian glanced at his phone and said, "Excuse me, I need to take this call."
Why the hell are you answering the phone?
The people in the car stared at him, bewildered.
The call was from Scarlett, her voice tinged with resentment: "You haven't come to see me for days."
Ian replied cautiously, "I was just about to come to your place, honey, but a friend has to talk business with me, so I might be a little late."
Scarlett perked up at the mention of business: "Should I come over?"
"No, not this time." Ian shook his head and ended the call.
He smiled at Jitter: "I've had quite a few social engagements, please forgive me. How about we eat and chat? I'm getting a little hungry."
………………
In a roadside restaurant, Ian happily ate Chinese food.
He glanced at the madman Jett across from him and laughed, "Have some. The Chinese food here isn't very authentic, but I specially taught them how to make it. You can't find this flavor anywhere else."
Madman Jitter's round face contorted: "I won't use chopsticks, such a barbaric and backward method."
"On the contrary, it's a very sophisticated approach." Ian shook his head. "Do you know why art is art? It's because it's difficult! Anything without difficulty loses its value. Air is so important to humans, but just because it's everywhere and easy to obtain, it's worthless."
He chuckled as he spoke: "Using chopsticks is more difficult than using knives and forks, but once you master them, you'll find they're much better than knives and forks... so they're more of an art."
"Fuck!" Madman Git glared fiercely at Ian. "Ian Carl, I'm not here to discuss art with you."
"So what do you want to discuss? The rest of the material?" Ian sneered dismissively. "I won't give it to you. It's valuable. You know why? Because it's difficult to obtain; it's an art!"
Madman Jett is really going crazy.
He reached the gun under the table and pressed it against Ian's abdomen: "But do you know that killing is a difficult thing to do? Not everyone has that kind of courage!"
Ian looked at him coldly: "Is that so? Then I'd like to see for myself."
As he spoke, he suddenly clapped his hands.
Jitter was taken aback.
Amidst the applause, diners nearby stood up and simultaneously drew their guns, aiming them at those present.
Fake!
What's going on?
Jitter was taken aback when he saw a lame man with a cane walk into the restaurant.
Kreps?
Kreps of the Cripples Gang?
Jitter's eyes widened in surprise.
What is he doing here?
Ian waved his hand, and Kreps smiled as he pulled a gun from his pocket and pressed it against Gitt's head.
Gitt was dumbfounded: "Kreps, what are you doing? Do you want the two gangs to go to war?"
Kreps smiled slightly: "You're threatening my boss."
Jitter was dumbfounded.
Is Ian Carl the boss of Kreps?
Are you kidding me?
Ian stared coldly at Gitte: "Your gun's still pressed against my stomach, and Kreps's gun's against your head. You had a chance to kill me before he fired. So now, shoot. Let me see if Mad Gitte is a courageous, fearless guy who's willing to risk everything to drag his opponent down with him."
Gitte stared at Ian in astonishment.
This guy is a complete madman!
Ian just smiled.
He leisurely lit a cigar for himself, just looking at the other person: "Shoot! Let me see just how high the art of killing really is."
Jitter's hands trembled.
The latest novel is first published here!
Everyone in MS13 was looking at him.
Jitter knew that if he didn't fire that shot, everyone would despise him, and his authority would diminish.
But if he were to drive it out, he would be doomed.
Kreps was also curious to see if Gitt would dare to fire. For a moment, he even thought: Remember to check the safety before you fire.
However, he ultimately dared not say anything.
They remained locked in a standoff.
a long time!
Finally, the madman Git put his gun away.
He glared angrily at Ian: "This is over."
Ian sighed and shook his head: "Madman Jett, it turns out you're only a madman when you're killing people."
Kreps smiled: "Nobody's crazier than you, boss."
"Maybe." Ian picked up a napkin, wiped his mouth, and stood up.
He walked out of the restaurant without paying any attention to the people from MS.
Kreps, leaning on his cane, followed behind Ian: "Madman Git is no easy opponent. He chickened out today, but he might come back for more next time."
Ian nodded. "I think so too. You guys are all stubborn and won't give up until you hit a brick wall, even you haven't truly given up, have you?"
Kripps shrugged. "Kempe can't hold out much longer. I promised him a lot, but I couldn't keep them. He's coming with a huge army."
Ian gave a soft "hmm": "That's why I'm not killing that madman Git today."
Kreps chimed in: "Does good news need to control the pace?"
Ian laughed heartily: "You really know me better and better, Kripps! Go make the arrangements. Leave the killing of Bates to me. The groundwork is laid. I'm counting on them to help me take down the Los Angeles Times."
"Yes, boss." Kreps bowed respectfully.
He watched Ian stroll away, his gaze complex.
If Ian can easily deal with the person who killed Bates this time, just like last time, then his only option is to be a loyal dog.
