Battle Through the Heavens: The Beginning of the Dou Sheng Inheritance

Chapter 17 Arrival at Mittelten Mountain

"Who told you I'm a Dou Zhe?" A layer of black and white Dou Qi veil emerged from Xiao Jue's body, and Xiao Yu was immediately dumbfounded. Was he already a Dou Shi?

"I asked Xiao Ning. A month after I left the Xiao family, you had just broken through to the sixth-star Dou Zhe level in that Dou Qi test."

Xiao Yu gritted her teeth in anger. A year ago, she was a one-star Dou Zhe and left Wutan City to join Canaan Academy.

A year has passed. She has cultivated the low-level water attribute technique of the Xuan rank given to her by her mentor and broken through from a one-star Dou Zhe to a three-star Dou Zhe. However, Xiao Jue, that little rascal, has become a Dou Shi from a six-star Dou Zhe.

"There's no way around it. With the pills, it's hard not to get stronger." Xiao Jue had just put on an act, but his expression quickly changed. Xiao Yu had his weakness in her grasp. Even with a physique comparable to a fourth-order magical beast, he was still afraid of being bitten.

Fortunately, Xiao Yu wasn't that crazy, and holding Tianxian in her mouth relieved Xiao Jue.

Xiao Yu swallowed with a look of disgust and made a deal with Xiao Jue: "I'll be available whenever you call after this, but I can't go in later. In return, you'll provide me with all kinds of cultivation resources, techniques, and fighting skills."

"You've got a pretty good idea," Xiao Jue said, squinting. "You're not exactly all brainless and all looks."

"That's not necessarily a bad thing."

"Then you do it yourself this time."

"Aren't you tired?"

"Hurry up, this is over. I can give you the three pills and the cultivation techniques and combat skills, but if you're lying to me..."

"Tch." Xiao Yu curled her lip. "You got off easy, you little rascal."

……

Watching Xiao Yu limp away, Xiao Jue breathed a sigh of relief. She wasn't that difficult to deal with; she was just as easy to handle as Ya Fei. The most important thing was to keep her promise.

"I still need to get a few more storage rings." Xiao Jue thought to himself. Storage rings are worth more than 100,000 gold coins, comparable to a Condensation Pill, but Xiao Jue can refine them at will, which is equivalent to making money for free.

"Let's go find Ya Fei first." Xiao Jue decided to punish Ya Fei. She cried so badly yesterday, and he really thought she couldn't take it anymore. He didn't expect her to recover so well.

The saying goes, "The capable are often burdened with more work, and the beautiful suffer more," and Ya Fei is no exception to this rule.

After giving Ya Fei a severe lesson, Xiao Jue took away three low-level storage rings containing some medicinal herbs.

The gold coins used to refine the Qi-boosting pills last time were not yet used up. The sixty Qi-boosting pills given to Ya Fei were worth a total of three million gold coins.

Before leaving, Xiao Jue asked Ya Fei to do three things for him. First, she had to collect the medicinal materials for the Seven Illusions Azure Spirit Pill. To refine the seventh-grade pill, she needed high-grade medicinal materials, and there were many kinds of them, which would take a long time to collect.

He also asked a powerful member of the Mittel family to obtain a recipe for the Three-Pattern Azure Spirit Pill from the Alchemist Guild, and to collect five sets of medicinal materials for the Three-Pattern Azure Spirit Pill. In return, his teacher could refine a pill for a powerful member of the Mittel family, including a sixth-grade pill.

The so-called teacher was none other than Yao Lao, the alchemist. Xiao Jue gave him three portions of herbs for the Soul Nourishing Pill, and Yao Lao didn't mind refining the pills for Xiao Jue, especially since Xiao Jue had other things he needed.

Secondly, he needed Ya Fei to help him obtain a fifth-tier beast fire, which Yao Lao had traded with Xiao Jue for the Foundation Establishment Elixir formula. Xiao Yan would need it after breaking through to the Dou Zhe level.

The formula for Foundation Establishment Elixir wasn't very useful to Xiao Jue, but it was a powerful tool for showing off, and it was very useful within the Xiao family. It was always inconvenient to trouble Elder Yao with second-grade elixirs.

Back home, Xiao Jue breathed a sigh of relief. If the Mittel family could obtain the recipe for the Three-Pattern Azure Spirit Pill, he could directly take the Condensation Pill to break through to the Seven-Star Dou Shi level, and then have Yao Lao refine the Three-Pattern Azure Spirit Pill for him, which would allow him to break through to the Great Dou Shi level.

Among the medicinal materials collected by the Mittel Auction House this time, there are six portions of Purple Heart Barrier-Breaking Pill materials, three portions of Weather Pill materials, two portions of Qi Gathering Powder materials, and two portions of Beast Power Pill materials, all of which are fourth-grade pill materials.

The Purple Heart Breakthrough Pill and the Qi Gathering Powder are used to help a Great Dou Master break through to the first star and to help a ninth-level Dou Qi condense into a Dou Qi vortex to break through to the Dou Zhe level, respectively.

The purpose of Weather Dan is to crush it into powder and sprinkle it into medicinal soil, which can help some medicinal seed that requires special environment to grow.

Beast Power Pill can temporarily increase the user's strength.

Xiao Jue still had some Grade 3 medicinal materials that Ya Fei had collected for him. There were many kinds. He had broken through to the sixth-star Dou Shi, but he was not in a hurry to try to refine Grade 4 pills. The chance of failure was still a bit high. Refining Grade 3 pills was the safest option now.

Xiao Jue stayed at home for half a month refining pills. During that time, only Xiao Yu occasionally came to bring him food. Xiao Yu was essentially offering herself up, and after being thoroughly defeated by Xiao Jue, she fled back home in a panic.

She also discovered that her fighting spirit would increase after being filled by Xiao Jue, so she persisted in seeking out Xiao Jue in order to become stronger.

In the past two weeks, Xiao Jue hasn't even been to the Mittel Auction House, meaning he hasn't visited Ya Fei even once. Yet, he has already managed to refine the third-grade pills with pill patterns.

Xiao Jue refined a large number of other Grade 3 pills, such as Qi-restoring pills and injury-healing pills, which are commonly used Grade 3 pills.

After the Xiao family finished refining pills, they also had a distinguished guest who came from the capital: a Dou Wang powerhouse, one of the top ten powerhouses of the Jia Ma Empire.

"The Xiao family is deeply honored by the presence of Elder Tengshan."

Xiao Jue, Xiao Zhan, and three elders of the Xiao family greeted Mittel Tengshan, the eldest elder of the Mittel family, who personally came to Wutan City. Ya Fei stood beside him, looking at Xiao Jue with a rather resentful gaze.

Mittel Tengshan said gently, "No need for formalities, everyone. Is this Xiao Jue, the genius alchemist from the Xiao family?"

Xiao Jue cupped his hands in greeting, "Greetings, Elder Tengshan."

"Truly, geniuses emerge from among the young," Mittel Tengshan couldn't help but remark.

He learned from Ya Fei that Xiao Jue had become a third-grade alchemist at the age of fifteen, and that he could even refine third-grade pills at the age of fourteen. He also had a sixth-grade alchemist who was suspected to be from the Pill Tower, the holy land of alchemists in Zhongzhou.

The group entered the Xiao family hall, which was the same place where they had previously received Nalan Yanran and the Yunlan Sect steward.

After sitting down, Mittel Tengshan looked at Xiao Jue and asked softly, "Xiao Jue, I heard from you and Ya Fei that if I could get you a recipe for the Three-Pattern Azure Spirit Pill and five portions of medicinal herbs from the Alchemist Guild, I could ask your teacher to refine a pill, even a sixth-grade pill."

Xiao Jue nodded and asked, "Does Elder Tengshan want to refine a Dou Ling Pill? I can promise on behalf of my teacher that I will definitely be able to successfully refine a Dou Ling Pill for Elder Tengshan."
