Battle Through the Heavens: The Beginning of the Dou Sheng Inheritance

"roar!"

As soon as the Pure Lotus Demon Flame finished speaking, the ten Dou Sheng Fire Slaves that had been hovering motionless in the sky suddenly opened their eyes. Two balls of milky white, eerie flames shot out from their empty pupils. With a swift movement, they rushed towards Xiao Jue without hesitation.

However, the moment they approached Xiao Jue, the eyes of the ten fire slaves suddenly emitted an astonishing light, and an exceptionally violent energy spread out like lightning.

"boom!"

The bodies of those ten Dou Sheng Fire Slaves expanded at a visible speed before exploding open.

An indescribable and terrifying energy storm swept across the sky at an astonishing speed, tearing open a magma fissure thousands of feet below, reaching the deepest part of the magma.

The Pure Lotus Demon Flame roared hysterically, "That old bastard! I've been with him for over a thousand years. I've done my part, if not meritorious, but I've certainly put in the effort. Yet, in the end, he showed no mercy and tried to seal me away. Being devoured in the end is retribution."

"However, the means by which he left me to restrict me are now able to protect me. How unpredictable life is."

The Pure Lotus Demon Flame sneered, and with a sudden change in its hands, the milky-white flames that filled the world suddenly condensed rapidly towards him, forming a massive fire giant nearly ten thousand feet tall.

"The Statue of the Demonic Flame!"

The fire giant plunged its feet directly into the lava sea below. Its colossal size made one's soul tremble. If such a giant were to punch down, even a Dou Sheng powerhouse would probably be blasted into nothingness.

"Go to hell!"

The Pure Lotus Demon Flame stood atop the Demon Flame God statue, its gaze fixed on Xiao Jue, who looked as insignificant as an ant below. With a sinister smile, the Demon Flame God statue suddenly raised its fist, which resembled a massive mountain, and slammed it down towards Xiao Jue.

The moment that punch was unleashed, a massive magma vortex, thousands of feet in size, appeared on the surface of the magma sea ten thousand feet below, spinning and roaring wildly.

Xiao Jue flicked his finger, and a dazzling golden light burst forth, instantly transforming into a massive light curtain that enveloped the sky.

"boom!"

The giant fist, as large as a mountain peak, slammed heavily onto the golden light screen, and a terrifying shockwave swept outwards.

Within a radius of ten thousand feet, only cracking sounds could be heard as the entire space exploded into darkness. The space here was completely shattered by the battle between the two.

"Go to hell!"

The Pure Lotus Demon Flame roared to the sky, its body suddenly shooting into the heavens, and streaks of milky white fire shot out all over the sky, eventually entering the entire demon flame space.

"The Ancient Refining Heaven Formation, appear!"

As these fire lines shot into the depths of space, the Pure Lotus Demon Flame roared, and a thunderous roar resounded in the space. Then, in the sky, a massive fire array, nearly tens of thousands of feet in size, slowly emerged from the void.

"Boom!"

As the grand formation appeared in the sky, the boundless sea of magma also churned, eventually revealing a massive fire formation.

"Haha, you never expected this, did you? This sealing formation personally set up by the Pure Lotus Demon Saint will ultimately be used by me. Over these thousands of years, I have already deciphered its mysteries. Within this demonic fire space, who can contend with me?!"

The ancient formation that covered the heavens and earth slowly rotated, and the Pure Lotus Demon Flame laughed loudly to the sky.

The sky-covering fire array, like two enormous fire plates, enveloped this space from above and below. Xiao Jue and Xiao Chen, on the other hand, appeared as insignificant as ants within these two giant plates.

"He actually... can control the grand formation set up by the Pure Lotus Demon Saint!"

Xiao Chen stared at the sudden turn of events in disbelief. After a moment, he snapped back to reality and hurriedly looked towards the slowly rotating spatial passage in the distance, the road leading to Zhongzhou.

"Retreat immediately!"

With a flicker in his eyes, Xiao Chen almost without saying a word, reached out and grabbed Xiao Jue, intending to take him away.

The grand formation here was set up by the Pure Lotus Demon Saint. Even though he had fallen countless years ago, his reputation was still deeply imprinted in the ears of everyone who had heard of his deeds, and could not be forgotten.

"Haha, it's too late to leave now. I'm going to refine you into my fire slave!"

However, just as Xiao Chen uttered these words, the Pure Lotus Demon Flame, which was high in the sky, laughed wildly and pointed its finger lightly in the direction of the spatial passage.

The large formation below unleashed a milky-white pillar of magma fire with a whoosh, striking the spatial passage with thunderous force and shattering it completely.

Xiao Chen's face was gloomy. It seemed that the Pure Lotus Demon Flame intended to leave no one behind.

Xiao Chen said with a grim expression, "This Demon Flame Space was constructed by the Pure Lotus Demon Saint. He was known as the one who was closest to the Dou Di powerhouse in that era. The space he constructed is probably inaccessible to anyone on the continent today without going through the passage."

"No..." Xiao Chen suddenly froze, looking at Xiao Jue in shock. He was the only one who had come to the Demon Flame Space. If he wasn't still in the Nightmare Mist, then it was highly likely that Xiao Jue had forcibly broken in!

Xiao Chen said in a deep voice, "The Heaven Refining Array is divided into two aspects: Heaven and Earth. I will deal with the Heaven Array, and you will handle the Earth Array!"

"Like a mantis trying to stop a chariot, although I hate that guy terribly, if you bunch of amateurs could break through the grand formation he set up, would I still be trapped here for thousands of years?!"

Seeing Xiao Chen's actions, the Pure Lotus Demon Flame sneered. Then, killing intent surged in its eyes. Too lazy to say anything more, it changed its hand seals, and the great array that covered the world began to slowly rotate like a millstone.

As the two large formations slowly rotated, the energy in this world suddenly became extremely violent.

"The Ancient Heaven-Refining Array, refining the heavens into slavery!"

The Pure Lotus Demon Flame hovered in the sky, its body erupting with a massive, milky-white flame that poured into the great formation.

"Bang!"

As soon as the shout fell, the entire world trembled violently. A circle of milky white light rapidly spread from the edge of the great formation towards the center, eventually converging into a milky white pillar of light a hundred feet in size, filled with destructive power.

"Refine!"

A sinister look appeared on the face of the Pure Lotus Demon Flame. She pointed her finger sharply downwards, causing both the Heavenly and Earthly Arrays to tremble violently. Immediately, two milky-white beams of light shot out like fountains, their targets locked onto Xiao Jue and Xiao Chen! (End of Chapter)
