Battle Through the Heavens: The Beginning of the Dou Sheng Inheritance

Chapter 7 Helping Ya Fei Break Through

After returning home, Xiao Jue's refining of Qi-boosting pills went very smoothly. He successfully refined twenty-seven batches of Qi-boosting pills over three consecutive days, failing three times.

Refining a second-grade pill is far more difficult than refining a first-grade pill, and it also takes much longer. Sitting cross-legged in front of the Yin-Yang Cauldron, Xiao Jue let out a long breath, put away the Qi-boosting pills, medicinal herbs, and the Yin-Yang Cauldron that he had successfully refined, took a sip of water, and then left the Xiao family and headed towards the Mittel Auction House.

On the way, Xiao Jue bought a piece of bread to fill his stomach. The continuous success in refining pills was so addictive that it was hard not to get absorbed in it.

If it weren't for the fact that he had run out of medicinal herbs today and needed to go to the Mittel Auction House to get more, Xiao Jue wouldn't have wanted to leave the house. After all, if he successfully refined a Qi-boosting pill, Xiao Jue would essentially earn 40,000 to 50,000 gold coins for free.

"Brother Xiao Jue, these are the medicinal herbs I promised you last time." Ya Fei smiled and handed a low-grade storage ring to Xiao Jue.

Seeing him still eating his bread with gusto, Ya Fei couldn't help but cover her mouth and laugh, "If Xiao Jue is hungry, I can treat you to a meal too. It's just that after you left, your cousin Xiao Yan took away twenty portions of medicinal herbs in your name, worth thirty thousand gold coins."

"Sister Yafei, these are all Qi-boosting pills. Please help me sell them."

Xiao Jue swallowed the bread in his mouth, took out a bunch of jade bottles from his storage ring and placed them on the table. He let out a long sigh and said apologetically, "I've been so engrossed in refining pills these past few days that I haven't eaten. I'm sorry to have made Sister Ya Fei laugh at me."

Ya Fei stared in disbelief and said quietly, "You've not made your sister laugh, but rather broadened her horizons. A fourteen-year-old second-grade alchemist, even the Jia Ma Empire has never had one."

"Twenty-seven Qi-Boosting Pills. Each Qi-Boosting Pill costs around 50,000 gold coins. It can be sold for a slightly higher price at an auction, but since the quantity is large, I can only give you one for 50,000 gold coins."

"I've also collected two sets of the Soul-Nourishing Grass, Spirit Fruit, and Soul-Spirit Flower that you requested."

Ya Fei said with a smile, "Twenty-seven Qi-boosting pills cost 1.35 million gold coins. After deducting the medicinal herbs worth 30,000 gold coins that Xiao Yan took away, as well as the two high-grade medicinal herbs, I will still give you 800,000 gold coins."

The two doses of medicine for nourishing the soul cost Xiao Jue a total of 420,000 gold coins.

He nodded and said, "If you have 800,000 gold coins left, please leave them with Sister Yafei to help me collect medicinal herbs. Collect as many as you can of Soul Nourishing Grass, Yuanling Fruit, Soul Spirit Flower, etc. Also, please collect 100 portions of the herbs for the Grade 3 pill Condensation Pill for me. I will give you the money later."

Ya Fei's beautiful eyes sparkled as she asked, "Does Brother Xiao Jue intend to refine a grade three elixir?"

"It's not certain that I'll succeed." Xiao Jue shook his head and said, "After all, I'm just starting out in refining pills. I can succeed by relying on my cultivation level and my teacher's guidance, but third-grade pills are much more difficult to make, and I'm not very confident that I'll succeed."

Xiao Jue said helplessly, "Perhaps all one hundred portions of the ingredients for the Condensation Pill will fail to be refined in the future."

The third-grade pill, Condensing Liquid Pill, can assist in the condensation of battle qi. A Battle Master can increase their strength by one star after taking it. It can only be taken once. At the peak of the Battle Warrior realm, it can also be used to break through to the Battle Master realm.

"A genius like Xiao Jue will definitely succeed soon, and he might even break the record of the Jia Ma Empire again." Ya Fei smiled and reached out her hand, tentatively reaching out to pinch Xiao Jue's little face.

Xiao Jue stared in disbelief at Ya Fei's chest, because Ya Fei had leaned in so close that he could see a large expanse of white skin, but unfortunately he could only see half of it.

"You little pervert." Ya Fei reached out and lightly flicked Xiao Jue's forehead, then leaned back and asked, "When do you plan to get those ingredients for the Condensing Liquid Pill? I need to get them from headquarters."

“No rush.” Xiao Jue shook the storage ring on his hand and said, “After we finish refining the remaining seventy Qi-boosting pills, we’ll rest for a while and adjust our condition before trying to refine third-grade pills.”

Ya Fei nodded. "The herbs will be delivered in three days at most. However, because the Soul Nourishing Grass is of such a high grade, the headquarters may not be able to collect too many of them."

Xiao Jue nodded. Seeing that he didn't speak, Ya Fei asked in confusion, "Is there anything else, Xiao Jue?"

Xiao Jue grinned and asked, "Wasn't Sister Ya Fei going to treat me to dinner?"

Ya Fei nodded, both amused and exasperated. "Let's go then, I'll take you to eat."

Xiao Jue followed Ya Fei out of the Mittel Auction House, admiring her long and alluring legs, and arrived at a very famous restaurant in Wutan City.

A meal here costs dozens of gold coins, which few people can afford. Xiao Jue had eaten here a few times before, and he had to admit that the ingredients and taste were quite good.

The two sat in the private room. Ya Fei watched with a smile as Xiao Jue wolfed down his food. Although he had the strength of a Dou Shi, he had been starving for three days and needed a good meal.

Ya Fei whispered, "So cute."

After finishing his meal, Xiao Jue took out a tissue to wipe his mouth. After a moment's hesitation, he said, "I heard that Sister Ya Fei chose to become an auctioneer because her cultivation talent wasn't outstanding."

A bitter look flashed in Ya Fei's eyes, but she forced a smile and said, "Sister's talent for cultivation is indeed not very good, but as an auctioneer, I do have some talent and I love this industry very much."

Xiao Jue was silent for a moment, then said, "The cultivation method my teacher gave me is somewhat special; it might be able to help Sister Ya Fei."

The latest novel is first published here!

He took out a scroll and handed it to Ya Fei. It contained information about the effects of the Yin-Yang Technique, but no specific cultivation method.

After Ya Fei took the scroll and looked at the records on it, a look of astonishment and shame flashed across her face. She then tossed the scroll to Xiao Jue.

"Who do you take me for!"

Xiao Jue hurriedly caught the Yin-Yang Technique and put it back into his storage ring, explaining, "I just wanted to help Sister Ya Fei. I saw that Sister Ya Fei is only at the Dou Zhi Qi level, and my Yuan Yang is still intact. If I give Sister Ya Fei a Qi Gathering Powder, you can become a Dou Zhe."

"Once I become a high-level alchemist, I will also help Sister Yafei refine other pills to improve her strength."

Ya Fei looked embarrassed and annoyed, biting her lower lip and glaring at Xiao Jue. "Next time, bring Qi Gathering Powder to the Mittel Auction House to find me."

After saying that, Ya Fei fled in panic. Xiao Jue couldn't help but laugh out loud. It seemed that he had succeeded. After Yao Lao successfully refined the Qi Gathering Powder, he could start cultivating the Yin-Yang Harmony Technique for the first time.

After swaggering out, just before he reached the edge of the restaurant, a waiter called out from behind, "Young Master Xiao Jue, you haven't paid yet."

Xiao Jue's face stiffened, then his eyes lit up and he shouted, "Cousin Xiao Ning, come and help!"
